  involves vicki suing the watchtower and some of its elders.

  the organization treated her paedophile father in high regard even after vicki came forward.

  Thank you Hawkaw for the info and the update. I am appalled with the cong. lack of insight and support dealing with these allegations of abuse.

  I was in horror Vicki having to give her father a hug. Makes my skin crawl. Feels like abuse all over again. I can't imagine what she went through!!!!!!

  I will definitely send a letter to that congregation.

  I am sorry I am not in a place to be there for the final. But you can tell her I would be proud to stand with her. I am proud of her. I would like to meet her. I will difinitely be there in spirit.

  Letter to old Cong

  ok so some weeks back i send a letter to my old cong, it stated quite a few points which were very serious, some of them would cause certain members of the cong to be diss'd and asking for an explanation as to why certain things happened i.e stepfather throwing mother down the stairs whilst drunk but mother getting reproved etc etc.

  also raised was the issue of the data protection act and wanting a copy of the files held on me and also stating that the baptism is nul and void.

  it was about 5 pages long and i also sent it to various members of the cong.. a week ago i get an e mail from a witness stating that i was out of order - my letter was obviously exagerated and lied about to make me a "mad apostate" aparantly in the letter i have admited to keeping a written record of goings on, i blame the society wholey for my mothers death and i have apparantly sent it to the press.. a couple of days ago i get a reply from the cong and guess what it says, pretty much please forward a cheque for 10 along with proof of id and we will send you the records and thats it !!!!!

  Sorry to hear about your struggles with the cong. and what your mother had to endure!!! Makes me angry.

  I never heard such a thing about sending money and ID to get your records.??

  Dear Nordic:

  First of all I am sorry to hear about you and your family are struggling with abuse issues. And it makes me and sad. But you know you are in the right place here for support and to have a understanding of betrayal and abandonment. feelings we all experienced.

  I am sorry that the jw site betrayed you. It saddens me to hear that kind of mentality exists. I admire you and your family courage and strength to speak out. Glad it was safe enough for your child taking the risk in sharing the abuse with you. Says alot about you being a good parent. Its a huge piece in healing.

  Its a long long row to hoe in healing but to remind you that we are behind you and your family. My hope that you all are getting outside support dealing with these issues in taking care of yourselves. We were taught not to take care of ourselves.

  And if its okay with you I would like to burn a red candle for courage and strength for days to follow.

  I wrote a letter to the StarTribune opinions and the reporter Warren Wolfe regarding sex abuse laws.

  Sharing my response: " There are countless numbers of Jehovah Witnesses who have and are experiencing sexual an other abuses through out the United States, Canada and overseas.

  I and my 2 daughters are one of many that experienced sexual and domestic abuse. Sharing part of my letter to the Governing Body of Jehovah Witnesses in Brooklyn, New York headquarters regarding their mishandling abuse allegations. Their policy is not to report abuse allegations to the proper authorities. But keep it to themselves. Therefore their are many abuse cases that go back many years.

  The anger displayed by me towards the JW org is feelings of betrayal anfd abandoment. What's been taught is how honest and upfront the org. is to protect from the world. What seems that has been forgotten to put God first and what he would want forall his children. Sexual, emotional, physical and domestic abuse issues on any level."

  JW org. needs to adopt ZERO tolerance policy dealing with abuse issues on any level.
