An apt description of both the paper and content.....
i just saw my first watchtower magazine in about 15 years...it was tucked under my doormat.
all i can say is wow!
i was shocked at how small and flimsy it was.

i am sure we have all seen the recent letter to the boe concerning the change that will take place to the meeting arrangement during the week of the co visit.
to recap the basics: the meeting that usually contains the cong bible study (book study) and a co talk will be discontinued, publishers are encouraged to use their family worship night that week to cover book study material.. so here is a point that i think has been missed, or not even considered:.
if that particular meeting is hereby deleted from the schedule, the co and his wife will never ever have to participate in or go to another "book study", or "bible study" night again.
The extra night during the week is being lovingly provided by the FDS, so that the CO and his wife can get a job go out to dinner and a movie and financially support themselves bill it to the cong. as a weekly visit "expense" like the Apostle Paul regional corporate managers do.
just heard from an elder.
he told me that there is another change to be announced in august.
he didn't know more about it.. any other info?.
here it is, August's big announcement. Wait for it.....:
An announcement will be coming in September.

"Only two more months before the big 100th anniversary of Jesus' Kingdom Rule".

Jesus needs your cash...be generous....he's moving to Warwick.
hello there i am new to the faith and have been studying for about a month.
i am very excited and hungry for the truth and have not missed a meeting or study since the memorial.
we do about 2 bible studies a week.
she will now believe all the things they will be telling her at the KH about Apostates.
.
Ultimately, a person is going to believe whatever they want to believe regardless of the evidence.
.
No one explained 'love bombing' or the techniques of indoctrination used by the Witnesses
.
Actually, it was thoroughly explained and JNJ refused to accept it. Apparently JNJ's miniscule "knowledge" and experience gained studying with JWs for a few weeks outweighs the firsthand knowledge and advice offered by those that were JWs for decades.

I thought that the purpose of the CO visit was to encourage and get to know the congregation, to be a part of it, to show kindness and consideration, to be a real breath of fresh air to the brothers and sisters, to the families that work hard just to make a living?

Wrong.
The CO is a regional manager who's job is to make sure the lesser managers (elders) are enforcing company policy. With recent changes, he is now also in the 'business' if "hiring" and "firing" managers for the company, namely, by being the sole person who appoints and deletes elders.
Encouraging the factory workers (Publishers) is of no concern to a CO.
we have a version with our commentary: http://youtu.be/yn17rj_pyd4.

In Truth That Leads To Everlasting Life, p.13:
"We need to examine, not only what we personally believe, but also what is taught by any religious organization with which we may be associated. Are its teachings in full harmony with God's Word, or are they based on the traditions of men? If we are lovers of the truth, there is nothing to fear from such an examination. It should be the sincere desire of every one of us to learn what God's will is for us, and then to do it." -John 8:32.
Of course, this counsel applies to everyone except a JW. Once a JW you have no freedom or right to examine anything without WT's express approval.
And, in WT Land, anything older than a few hours or at best a few days is probably expired as "old light", and, therefore, irrelevant. The Truth book was published in 1968...practically the Jurassic Period in WT time.
new letter say the co visit is now one night a week, tuesday, to allow for family worship to continue uninterupted.
Perry: "Man... was created in God's image"
.
Which really makes the Flood account ridiculous. If man is made in god's image, and man was so flawed/wicked/sinful that god felt the need to kill every living thing (including animals that did not "sin"), then how can god blame anyone but himself for the result of his own creation?? The creation is nothing except the reflection of its creator, it can be no other way.
If humans so disgusted the god that allegedly created them, then maybe god should've saved everyone a lot of grief by committing suicide.
"God is eternal"...no proof
"man is made in god's image"....no proof
The Flood...no proof
"Humans have an eternal soul"...no proof
Is this all Ray Comfort has???
I would no sooner waste 30 minutes of time watching a video "proving" unicorns exist than watching a video about anything Ray Comfort says.
