  Where does the Bible mention 7000 year long Creative Days?

  Interestingly, CT Russell taught that 6,000 years of human existence ended in 1874; Freddie Franz and WT then taught it ended in 1975, which started the whole 1975/Armageddon nonsense.

  this one isn't actually the WTS' fault....except for failing to foresee this a problem much further in advance.

  I want to publicly apologize to Joe.

  I truly was suspicious of his post and doubted his intentions were genuine, especially being that his post as a new member coincided with the scandal developing with a KH in his area. The post seemed suspiciously like a JW elder trying to "out" apostates or awake JWs in that area by baiting them into revealing themselves.

  I've PM'd him a few times and he seems like a decent guy who's been beat up by the WT organization.

  It was not my intention to hurt his feelings, and I hope he gives JWN another shot. He can use our support.

  ok in the effort of full disclosure, i have had a couple of drinks and recently experienced a circuit assembly and a bad experience with a co.. i don't know where to effing begin.

  first of all the circuit assembly was a joke.

  half the assembly was about pioneering and selling your soul to be a no-pay salesman for the borg.

  It has more to do with Homeland Security compliance for large stadiums.

  WT had similar security issues with a university stadium in the Seattle area for this summer's convention.

  towards the end of last year, the witnesses in scotland had their own assembly hall opened in the town of livingston, near edinburgh the capital.. this was achieved no doubt by blood, sweat, and tears by many over a very long period - as well as by donations of witnesses from all over scotland and its islands, not forgetting the levy per publisher imposed on all the congregations in the guise of "donations"!.

  was the org grateful for the sacrifices which were made to bring a great "shout of praise" to whoever?

  What's interesting is the glaring imbalance between income and expenditures.

  I'm dumbfounded as to how WT can gain "charity" status in whatever country it operates in, yet it never does anything remotely charitable.

  By what standard does a charity take in money but distribute virtually none of it??

  Only two?? I admire your self-control after a day like that.

  The bitterness and disillusionment in the Org. will only intensify as reality sets in. As the hateful rhetoric escalates those JWs with a couple of still-functioning brain cells will not be able to take it anymore. Only the most ascerbic people will feel at home in WT Land.
