Resurrection talk at convention
by innerpeace ini didn't go to the convention but have family who did, all are going on about the resurrection talk, how there wasn't a dry eye in the arena.
and apparently a video was shown too on it.
we lost a family member some years back and they are on fb talking about the resurrection and new world coming soon.

These "dead" are judged out of "new" scrolls
.
If a JW actually ever read their Bible, and this verse specifically, they'd see the word "new" is not in that verse-never was. A total WT fabrication.
A resurrection is probably about the only thing WT has going for it to keep JWs around. I think most know Armageddon isn't coming in their lifetime.

Jehovah's Witness elder 'shredded' a woman's knickers before raping her, court hears
by SanLuisObispoTruthSeeker inhttp://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/jehovahs-witness-elder-mark-sewell-7265219.
.
three different headlines on bbc and walesonline, thought you might see how jw elders are picked by the un-holy spirit!.

The jury at Merthyr Crown Court heard Sewell "changed" after having his wisdom teeth removed, with the woman saying they were told he was suffering with depression.
.
Wouldn't it be great if a rank-and-file JW could get away with using excuses like this when they are in front of a JC ?

September 15th, 2010 Watchtower, p. 13 (par. 8):
"Similarly today, a Governing Body composed of spirit-anointed Christians contributes to the unity of the worldwide congregation. The Governing Body publishes spiritually encouraging literature in many languages. This spiritual food is based on God’s Word. Thus, what is taught is not from men but from Jehovah.—Isa. 54:13."
.
"Since Jehovah God and Jesus Christ completely trust the faithful and discreet slave, should we not do the same?" Watchtower 2009 Feb 15 p.27
.
"It is vital that we appreciate this fact and respond to the directions of the "slave" as we would to the voice of God, because it is His provision." Watchtower 1957 Jun 15 p.370
.
By definition, if a person or group claims to be directed by holy spirit, then they are inspired. The GB claim inspiration (by inference) when all is going well; when things go off the rails, then, and only then, do they become fallible men who make mistakes (and they don't directly admit to making mistakes either...it is alway by inference).
.
w86 1/1 p.30 Jehovah—SimplyGrand!
"If we fully recognize him as being a Grand Instructor, we will not doubt or criticize the methods of instruction Jehovah’s “faithful and discreet slave” class is using today. Rather, we will support disciplinary actions that are sometimes necessary in instructing, and at the same time attempt to derive as much benefit as possible from the fine teaching aids God’s visible organization provides."
Since god is the instructor of the FDS, as WT claims, then he is also to blame for errors. WT is off the hook, since they were only doing or saying what god told them to do or say.
HOW WOULD YOU ANSWER?
What details about the future has Jehovah revealed to us?

@ DJS: he can't see anything but straight lines and he can't think in any manner other than black and white
.
Which is why he simply ignored the answers I was asking him to give. The question was simple, the answer probably simpler. But this is what happens when a theist has to actually explain his beliefs- suddenly he realizes, a) he's got no answer at all (because he's never thought about his beliefs on anything but a naively childish level before) or, b) his answer will make no sense to anyone with even two functioning brain cells.
So, his only alternative is to ignore the question altogether, fake being offended, then question to character and motives of the person who had the audacity to ask him to explain why he holds the beliefs he does.

You find out for yourself if you want to find out
.
A predictable response from someone who only claims to have answers but has no substance to back anything up.
I read your topic "Science proves there is a god". You made a lot of wild asserions on that thread as well....and deflected giving any answers or explanations when your claims were exposed as hopelessly ignorant and groundless.

Breaking News :Charity Commission takes Wathtower to Tribunal in Britain
by raymond frantz inbreaking news :charity commission takes watchtower to charity tribunal in britain.
two weeks ago we run an article about the abuse case in moston manchester congregation .it would seem that the coverage from the main local newspaper manchester evening news and two national newspapers has alarmed the charity commission the official regulator for charities in england and wales and now for the first time !
they opened an official investigation on both charities ,the local one ,moston congragation and the central one jehovah's witnesses of britain indicating that in their eyes these two are connected and liable for any misconduct .this is the time for a concentrated campaign from all of us to inform the charity commission why the watchtower should not be a called a charity .the article above has a link for the charity commission complaint page .follow it!.

"Look for the ORG start some form of charity, even if it's only for JWs
.
They are already doing it.
Look up "Jah Jireh Homes" on the Net. While they claim to have no affiliation with WT, it has WT written all over it. Nursing homes exclusively for JWs, run by JWs, and they abide by all WT rules. And they also claim charity status.

This week's WT study...made me so sick.....
by stuckinarut2 inthis week's study april 15th 2014 was called "do you see the one who is invisible?".
it was perhaps one of the most depressing, controlling, fear-mongering, stress inducing, doctrinally incorrect, hate-inspiring, judgemental, cult-like, irrational, hyped-up, critical, crazy, stretched out, fanciful, illogical, burdensome, inflated, coersive, manipulative, and brain-snappingly weird stuff i have read for some time.... (but i'm sure it was just a rehash and repeat of previous stuff...for the new masses....).
i had to keep up a sane appearance while in the hall, and even answer some garbage while this was being 'studied'... my cognitive disonance must be so strong now, because i found this one of the hardest ones to endure....now that i am home, i have poured a stiff drink and am trying to clear my head...... one paragraph was classic:.

Jehovahs people are conveying an important message: "fear god and give him glory because the hour of judgement by him has arrived"
Isn't this the same message every other Fundamentalist religion is proclaiming??
