there's no doubt that the wtbts isn't sparing the hard-earned donations from the r&f on its latest trial of jw broadcasting.. this screenshot i took from the "behind-the-scenes" is just one of many examples of top-end tech gear being used in this endeavour.. .

why does this guy need harmankardon speakers when he's using cad software...and note the iphone.

this guy's a bethelite?.

The final decision was a GB no-brainer.

Note that jw.tv is broadcast only in English. So much for reaching out to the disenfranchised (read: nothing to donate to WT) crowd.

Yes, this is obviously Jehovah's direction, because in all the time TV has existed, never once has a TV station ordered equipment and it actually arrived.

This only happens for Watchtower.

So if Jehovah has clearly blessed this, it seems the GB will determine whether to continue running with it or not.

WT has always told Jehovah what to do and routinely revises His decisions. Why should this be any different?

i cannot wrap my mind around the fact that there is jw tv.

being a born in and living most of my life hearing how tv evangelism is wrong and lazy preaching yet seeing this unfold solidifies this religion as a cult!.

i remember back when i began my fade a few years ago i told my brother during an argument how this religion is just like any other religion in that its bull.

Just put it on the same long list as all the other things WT has condemned other religions for doing...only to see WT eventually do it themselves.

The 11/15/86 WT quoted earlier sums up why the GB are now using television:

"...why do many evangelists [now The GB too] prefer TV as their medium? The Courier-Mail of Brisbane, Australia, notes that TV evangelists “make up to $120 million a year selling salvation. They appear in a blaze of electrified power and glory on 300 TV stations, and are worshipped like pop idols."

AGM 2014 - How are faders gonna hide in plain sight anymore?

so two big changes in the org were announced in the most recent agm.. local needs part is replaced by "how do you know the truth" where all members will tell their experience (oh what fun).

basic pioneer role 10 only hours a month required (see, jehovah lightens our load, therefore he loves only us)!.

it seems like they have really turned up the heat here.

The announcement was a new class of pioneer called a "basic pioneer" where you commit to 10 hours a month.

What's next for 2015? Inactive or irregular Publishers will be "Auxilliary Pioneers"?
