how can you not understand the basic arguments of the people who disagree with you?...can you not think at all skeptically about what you are presenting as 'evidence'?..

i heard from a reliable source that a one-day assembly in arizona last weekend had a "cost" to the publishers of $17,000.. predictably, the elders were nice enough to obligate the attendees to a $6,000 donation to wt before the assembly "costs" (i.e.
"rent/extortion) were even met.
$11,000 rent plus $6000 in extra "donations".
This goes back to there is a per publisher cost added to the overall cost of the assembly.
Since the circuit seems to always send any bank balance/excess funds to WT, and the elders always vote to send several thousand dollars to WT every assembly, the "per publisher" charge is almost moot. The way WT has things arranged, beginning and ending any assembly with a deficit is business as usual and there's simply no arrangement for carrying a surplus of funds to be applied toward the next convention.
I wish JWs would begin to vote with their wallets and just quit donating...

The interesting thing is that many of the congregations in the northern part of the state have opted out of using the Ass Hall-it's too far to travel. They still have their assemblies in rented facilities like high schools, etc.
Guess what? No annouincement is made at those assemblies stating a specific cost for the facilities and what is expected for donations.
I speculate this because if they announced a cost of $17,000, too many JWs would simply ask the school administrators what the real rent cost is and easily expose the scam WT pulls every assembly at its own facilities. WT has total control and zero transparency at its own ass halls..which is the way they like it.
not my cup o tea for sure, but i found out my nephew is a regular zombie on the show.. anyone here like the show?
i'm kinda afraid to even watch it ...my imagination is a bit to active.. .

I do wish they would get the physics right, ... you cant poke a blunt crowbar thru a zombies head with just a moderate thrust.
Yes you can.

re: 2015 calendar in english.
if many publishers in your congregation have requested the 2015 calendar in english,.
Which makes the following claim rather silly:
"To this day the Governing Body follows similar guidelines. Each article in both The Watchtower and Awake! and every page, including the artwork, is scrutinized by selected members of the Governing Body before it is printed. Furthermore, those who assist in writing articles for The Watchtower are Christian elders who appreciate the seriousness of their assignment. (Compare 2 Chronicles 19:7.) They spend many hours in researching the Bible and other reference material to make sure that what is written is the truth and that it faithfully follows the Scriptures. (Ecclesiastes 12:9, 10; 2 Timothy 1:13) It is not unusual for one magazine article — that you may read in 15 minutes — to take from two weeks to over a month to prepare.
19 Therefore, you can read The Watchtower and Awake! with confidence. But you can do more. You can enthusiastically offer these magazines to others..."

I guess the GB doesn't scrutinize calendars.

Listener: And still no apology from the Governing Body.
I wouldn't hold my breath on this one. I'm still waiting for an apology for 1914...
Vidiot: I'm wondering just how long it will take before the majority of rank-and-filers in denial get thumped on the head with this enough to finally acknowledge the problem.
Well, the figure of a thousand years factors big in JW Land...
Besides, $28 million is only aprox. $4 per publisher, so no biggie. It's less than the annual fee for buying insurance and cars for the CO's and DO's, so actually paying out on pedophilia losses is a bargain.
