They have no answers for condemnation coming from their own literature!
I completely understand and agree with you Searcher. The problem is, JWs don't think rationally. My best JW friend disowned me because I quoted from the literature! I was an "apostate" simply because I quoted from an older WT article that disagreed with current WT doctrine. It highlighted how WT's "truth" today becomes yesterday's silliness in the blink of an eye, and he didn't like seeing it in print.
This documentary will help two groups of people: 1) JWs who are already on the fence and need a little nudge in the right direction, 2) those who may be considering becoming a JW (or know someone who is) and can steer clear of the madness with a warning shot.

Fundamentalists are wacky, regardless of religious flavor. Any benign activity in life suddenly becomes fodder for promoting their particular brand of religious nuttery...
yesterday local needs was this theme.
are you spiritually grown up.. summary: if you are between 18-35 and not ms or elder, you lazy idiot are like a child.
at this age, especially if you grew up in "da trooooth" you have no issue with jw.org doctrine right (how do you know...?
This goes right along with ToMo's (a.k.a. "Tony Too Tight Pants Human Hot Dog The Turd) recent comments at the "special" meeting: 'Has your family vacationed at Disneyland but haven't visited Bethel? SHAME ON YOU!'
'Sisters, are you interested in a brother who's not an M.S. ? SHAME ON YOU! If a brother is 23 years-old and NOT an M.S., there's something wrong with him.'
This tells you all you need to know about WT: they've got nothing to offer anyone, and the only way to keep JWs in the program is by threats, intimidation and fear. Pathetic.
was it necessary for god to kill all innocent firstborn children?
no other way out for the almighty god?.
DD: By the way, don't forget to thank God for preserving all the flesh eating bacteria and brain eating amoeba's...
Thank you, GOD. You are awesome.
if youve followed the news lately there are more and more child abuse cases popping up.
one lawyer said he has over 28 cases in the pipeline that are going to be coming out soon.
on december 1 st a new one just popped up.
Vidiot: What, they can't dip into their numbered accounts in the Caymans or Switzerland?
Shhhhhh, Vidiot! Those accounts don't exist. WT keeps that info. on the low low.
Those accounts are the GB's "Golden Parachute" when the fecal matter hits the air-moving device and they have to amscray off U.S. soil.
wt doctrine now says that there was no faithful feeding slave at pentecost, in apostolic times, ---but there is now, since 1919. previously they taught there was always a slave feeding -sometimes unknown , but an unbroken, if sporadic lineage.. while the early, and later christians (in this doctrine) had no discreet slave, they had a governing body.
the tradition of a (wt) governing body is older then the idea of "feeding my sheep".. governance over care.. are they working on an unbroken if sporadic governance of the congregation too?
we still feel the reverberations, consequences of the talking snake too.. .
A 1st century GB is a WT myth. But, if there was one it opens up a whole can of worms for WT. Where'd it go for 2,000 years if it's so critical to god's plan???
And why was there no GB even in WT's structure for most of its existence if a GB is critical to god's plan??

"The Watchtower Society can benefit from a healthy dose of humility."
Funny. Irwin Zalkin came to the same conclusion in his dealings with WT.
recently someone asked me to define what core teachings have such a hold on jdubs that they have trouble breaking free.
trying to single out the driving force that keeps them in the borg, this is what popped into my head:.
obviously there are lots and lots of wacky things the jdubs teach/believe/pretend to believe.
They are united (all believe the same thing, do the same thing, say the same thing -religiously speaking)
WT brags about this point, but really, what choice does a JW have? A JW must believe everything the GB teaches without question and regardless of evidence to the contrary; dissent is dealt with swiftly and harshly. Rather than being a bragging point, it's actually one of the most embarrassing things about JWs- 7 million+ minds that have been switched off.
Christ's presence started invisibly in 1914.
Except that it was originally pronounced by WT to have happened in 1874 and preached thusly for almost 60 years. Except for that, yes, Jesus' presence began in 1914.
JWs are to be no part of the world.
Except for the whole UN/NGO thingy, Rutherford's sedition against the US Govt, his attempted alliance with Hitler, etc, etc. Other than these, and more, examples of blatantly currying favor with the world, yes, WT is "no part of the world".
Preaching house to house is a must for all christians that are able to.
Despite the fact that not one scripture says Christians preached from door-to-door, no commandment saying as much exists, and no record exists that Jesus ever did it.
Other than that, yes, it's a requirement for Christians.

WT doesn't so much have "core" doctrines as it does doctrines du jour.
