@ tqg: I never understood why the meeting nights had to be changed anyway when the CO visits. Why can't he just visit each cong on the night they normally have their meeting?

i was at a meeting.
we were in psalms..i don't know why i was looking at the other books of psalms, & noticed that the"s" was left off of psalms...don't remember what chapters, being i don't have my bible with me now....check it out for yourselves.

Ironically, if a JW were to skip one of the meetings during the CO visit, even if it was to stay home and do personal study, they'd surely be judged, maybe even counselled, for not appreciating "Jehovah's™ spiritual provisions".

But when WT cancels one of the mtgs., permanently, now it's a 'gift' that will help a JW focus more on spiritual things. Hypocrites!!

I for one am shocked a WT attorney would lie, in a judicial court of all places.

when the co visits a cognregation this semester, a special meeting with elders and mss is sceduled tuesday night, right after the normal meeting.
does anyone know what this meeting is about?
this special meeting is held at the beginning of the co-week, and is different from the standard meeting with personnel which is held friday evening.

i just wanted to openly apologize to anyone that i have ever offended on this website.
i have been thinking about this lately.
we all seem to go through the same various stages of learning ttatt, anger, sorrow, frustration, bible champion, agnostic, atheist, ect.
I appreciate your posts, DD, and have never read anything you've said that came off as offensive. I share your sentiments, however. I think back to some of my early-on posts a year ago and am somewhat embarrassed. Purging ourselves of the JW conditioning, that we have all the answers, our view is always right and we'll fight our viewpoint as right no matter what, without any allowance we may be wrong, can be difficult to overcome. It's a process... and no reflection on the character of the person. The men (or women) we come to be as a JW, I believe, is far from our true person, and sometimes it takes us awhile to discover our true self once we figure out we can actually think for ourselves.
The important thing is that we keep asking questions, keep growing, and make adjustments as our knowledge and experiences expand.
