  yes, you heard right.. as you know, most christian organizations publish and distribute little tracts with their gospel message.

  well they also make some that expose the lies of the wt, and explain how it is a cult.

  even if people are not interested in the "gospel message" in these tracts, the tracts do a good job exposing the wt as a cult.. now, those of you who are now agnostic or athiests or just non-religious, please keep reading, to understand what i plan to do.... i am expecting to receive $$ for christmas.

  How many thousands or tens of thousands of JWs leave each year... and non-JWs don't care or even notice?? WT is inconsequesntial to the lives of 8 billion people on this planet.

  My first impression, as a householder, would be:

  "Hmmm...he came to me as a JW fully convinced he had the truth; now he's here as an ex-JW fully convinced he's found the truth. Why should I listen?"

  i listen to one of these all time in our hall.

  she brings it up constantly about how they would do this or that but he has to work that saturday.

  i think she should get a job and then he could find a lower paying 9 to 5 job..

  we all know the calculations used by the wt to arrive at 1914. fall of babylon in 607 (false year), gentile times, no zero year, ta-da, 1914.. what did they use before that?

  i know it wasn't russell who came up with it - he just adopted it.

  i'm just curious what they had to explain away when they made the transition.. .

  What's even worse is when the family is struggling financially and the husband is working himself to death trying to make ends meet, and the wife still refuses to get a job because she likes Pioneering (or prefers it to having a job-the lesser of two evils).

  Oh, and she's usually the one driving the new vehicle, too.

  I don't see them counseling against it, either, which would be the expected response.

  All while WT simultaneously shuts down Youtube videos and websites for "copyright infringement" when they post WT quotes and videos without WT consent.

  As Vidiot said, WT's silence Re: merchandising, speaks volumes. If WT had a problem with it, they'd go after JW merchandizers with the same enthusiasm they use against Youtubers.

  The only way you could disprove him is if he made a prediction, or his work made an implicit prediction, which did not come true.

  And this is the precise point that destroys any self-proclaimed prophet everytime.

  Only in retrospect do alleged Bible "prophecies" get fulfilled. This is the way WT and similar non-prophet religions work: they look at world events, then make them fit (no matter how tortured the method) this-or-that prophecy, then declare themselves so insightful because they saw it coming the whole time.

  The ones who do predict specific dates (Harold Camping, et al) end up with egg on their face, but at least they had the courage to be specific (though foolish). WT tried it with 1914, 1925 and 1975 and failed miserably, although they worked within a year timeframe rather than a day, date and year.

  If WT was a true spokeman for god (a prophet) as they claim, they'd put specific dates and events out there and they'd come true everytime.

  If I had lived back in Russell's time, I don't know if I would have been frightened by his craziness or impressed by his Bible interpretations, but things are much clearer now.

  Mt. 24:36 should settle that issue ahead of time.
