"Evidently", Paul meant to say "as you publicly declared", but chose to wait for the GB to complete his thoughts in the 21st century.

RNWT Bible Needs to be Revised Again!
by The Searcher ini'll restrain myself from commenting on jw.org's perversion of this scripture - i'll leave that to others.. however, for lurkers and active witnesses here, why not ask one of your local glorious ones to explain how these non-scriptural words found their way into the silver sword, but don't appear in the original greek, or even in the kingdom interlinear.. (2 corinthians 9:13) "through the proof that this relief ministry gives, they glorify god because you are submissive to the good news about the christ, as you publicly declared, and because you are generous in your contribution to them and to all.".

Watchtower Top Doctor on Blood
by Marvin Shilmer intoday i added a new article to my blog.
the information is a little dated.
material cited was published in 1973. but i don't find any good sources online for this information so i published it myself.. the doctor involved (now deceased) was dr. j lowell dixon.

It is interesting that Dr. Dixon did not mention the fact that Jews were allowed to eat the unbled meat of an animal they found already dead, and they could sell unbled meat to foreigners. All perfectly acceptable under the Law.
As you alluded to in your article, Marvin, no life is taken when blood is obtained for a blood transfusion- it is donated- the donator is not killed for his blood. WT also does not talk about that point, as it is devastating to their case.
.
Isn't it fascinating how the NT itself says Christians are no longer under the Law, yet WT continually puts JWs back under the Law whenever it is convenient for hammering JWs with yet another WT policy that has no basis in scripture or common sense?
Thanks Marvin.

OMG! The world is worse than ever! This system can't last! Violence is increasing! Wait, what's that you say?
by sir82 inif you read jw literature, the world has been progressively getting "worse and worse" since 1914.. is that really the case?.
for a more rational analysis, look here:.

WT's mantra hasn't changed in 120 years. Check this out:
.
"Now, in view of recent labor troubles and threatened anarchy, our readers are writing to know if there may not be a mistake in the 1914 date. They do not see how present conditions can hold out so long under the strain. We see no reason for changing the figures - nor could we change them if we would. They are, we believe, God's dates, not ours. But bear in mind that the end of 1914 is not the date for the beginning, but for the end of the time of trouble."

Guys, guys !
A better world doesn't sell magazines, result in more hits on JW.Org or keep people enslaved within the protection of "God's Organization".
Please keep this good news to yourself.
Carry on.

Is this why the book is grey?
by Doug Mason inthe 2014 revised edition of "what does the bible really teach?
" uses the text of the 2013 nwt.
i therefore assume this is the reason for the grey colour of the "bible teach" book.. examples of the adjustments appear at pages 216 and 217 of the book:.

An email from a Jw "friend" to me (accusing me of apostasy) a few months back.
by objectivetruth ini was going through old email and i came across the below email from a former acquaintance of mine who is a jw.
when we were both jw's, we were both pretty liberal in our beliefs.
its quite interesting how cognitive dissonance kicks in, for many & not too much for others.

If you do what Russell did and start something that makes Jah use you as his channel than I will listen and follow what you say.
Ironically, WT has marginalized CT Russell to the "Who's CT Russell" category and rejected virtually everything he taught, despite the claim that 'Jah was using him as his channel'.
"makes Jah use you as his channel"
I thought Jehovah chose Russell first (according to WT), not Russell started something that forced god to use him. I think your JW friend needs to educate himself a little better.
Yet more silly statements to add to the long list if silly statements.

Watchtower buys apt complex in Fishkill, NY
by lostinthought inhttp://www.poughkeepsiejournal.com/story/news/local/2014/12/22/jehovahs-witnesses-buy-fishkill-rivercrest-apartments/20788311/.
jehovah's witnesses now owns a major apartment complex in the town of fishkill.. tenants say they've been told their leases will not be renewed.. the sale of the 250-unit rivercrest luxury apartments closed dec. 3, the deed on file at the dutchess county clerk's office shows.
while sale price is not stated, the transfer tax indicates a transaction for $57 million.. rivercrest is a modern development west of route 9d just north of beacon and was a project of avr realty, which also developed other housing and commercial spaces in that area as well as projects in eight states.. the sale deed is between rivercrest development llc, based in yonkers, and watchtower bible and tract society of new york, inc. as the buyer.

"Kill" means "creek" in Dutch and "war" is a weir, a low dam, from the Old English.
I know, Apog. I'm just having some fun.
What is Watchtower going to do with the apartments? My guess is that they will fix them up let some of the temporary volunteers who are working at Warwick live in them a little while, then eventually sell them for a profit.
My guess? WT will keep the apts. when all the building projects are completed and use them as a 'hotel' for JWs who visit WT. For a fee, of course. JWs pay for the bldg., then pay again to actually use it. Sound familiar?

Tenants say they've been told their leases will not be renewed.
WT has been telling people this for 135 years. It's called "Armageddon".
Has anyone noticed a trend with the properties WT is buying?

Why must we APPLY for everything?
by Tech49 ini was thinking about this today, after seeing another thread on the subject of serving in israel, of all places.
there have been many comments on the recent thread, and the ones a little older, about how utterly ridiculous that premise is.. the bigger question is why do i have to apply?
permission?

Did they have to provide proof to the Convention Security that they were not yet one of God's people?
They were the ones without the halo above their heads or the angelic glow encompassing their bodies. Obviously non-JWs.

JWs prefer wishful thinking over evidence.
