Ozzie,
Thank you for posting this. I had often wondered about this very subject. No one was ever able to explain it to my satisfaction.

it's common practice for dubs to end their prayers with words that indicate that they are being made "in jesus' name" i.e.
through the mediatorship of jesus.
more than that, dubs listening to congregation prayers would be aghast if the prayer leader omitted the words "through jesus christ" as the concluding remark of his prayer.

do you find that time flies, and that years go by so fast.
well thats my feeling about time.
the older you get, the faster it goes.
Yes, time does seem to fly by. I hope my best years are yet to come, but who really knows.

Congratulations!!
i am so bummed!
i went to the doctor yesterday and he said that i was too thin and that i need to gain 5 or 10 pounds.
i don't understand why.
Dutchie
I am your same height and have been below 100lbs. As long as you are eating a healthy, well balanced diet, and are feeling well. Take the Dr's suggestion as just that, a suggestion. Keep it in mind that maybe gaining a little might not be a bad thing, but you don't have to.
Personally, at 104lbs I wear a size #1 and at 124lbs I wear a size #3. But I have a low body fat ratio. The Dr always tells me I look skinny for my weight! I prefer to stay above 104lbs, though as long as I am healthy I don't worry about it too much. Right now, I'm well above.
If you do decide to try and gain, go about it in the best way for you. Just as losing weight is different for each individual, so is gaining. I can eat all the sweets and junk food I want and never gain. I burn it off too fast. I do better eating a well balanced diet includeing protein and carbs in appropriate servings.
Good luck,

i'm thinking about taking a break from this place for awhile.. one of the reasons i came here was because of the way jws have been so mean to me.
i don't like to see people be mean to each other.. lately i have been seeing people i care about being very mean to each other and me.
i just can't handle that.. please don't be mean.
Elsewhere,
I am sorry if I have been mean. I will do my best not to be mean anymore. Please, if you decide to take a break, make it a short one. I will miss you.

howdy ya'all:.
gotta get over this - i feel like i'm having a nervous breakdown most days.
parent told me she is unable to speak with me anymore (3 months ago), sends watchtowers to me & hub.
(((Mona)))
I understand. My JW mom uses every opportunity she can come up with so send me literature, letters complete with bible quotes, and door knockers. She knows most definately that I am not interested but nothing I have tried has stopped these gestures.
Some of the other posters have made good suggestions. I will just wish you the best of luck.

what would make you come back to the organisation?
after the 9-11 events, many were scared of what would happen next, and returned to the meetings.
now that the dust has fallen, in more ways than one, what event in your life would make you reconsider and go back this time for good.. .
I grew up in the troof but was never baptised. I will never go back, I don't care what they or the almighty says or does! I am still trying to recover from all the damage the time I spent involed with the organization has caused me.
