  londo has written a great article (imo) about how apostates are a figment of the jw imagination, fomented and concocted by none other than the watchtower.

  not necessarily the dictionary definition of the word apostate, which simply means a person who leaves their religion, for by that definition everyone who leaves any religion to become a jw is an apostate.

  no, it is jw conception of the apostate, both as an individual and as a group that is imaginary.. .

  Poor man has stuck by me, thick and thin. Enough that I have massive chaos in private life (story in members) now this with TTATT. lol, I'm laughing.

  He's lsitened t me prattlling away(he knew i used to be one once) , me doing the good little bit of witnessing, lmao - so then I'm going back - now leaving again.

  He must be like WTF!!! He even came to a few sunday meeting with me, seriously a graet guy.

  So now I got to go through it all, kinda backwards like, take it all apart and put it back together properly, lol. Like yes, it is mostly true (if you believe), right message, but another org who has twisted it. But ti worse this time, cos the org is saying it is directed by God, so they been a bit baughty... and now all the skeletons are coming out. TTATT. He must be thinking I'mm mental now. lol

  Now I dont know much about the Candace conti case in depth. But I can tell you what is being saiid round the r&f..... the man behind it, is an apostate.thats why he's doing it, he was never of any position in the cong just a man who attended. society can't be blamed for that.The society is never wrong. BUT if was elders, co, po and any other man 'of the cloth' so to speak in the jw organisation, then they are the very ones who were supposed to look after the flock and KNOW BETTER. So there is no excuse or anyother way out of it. Guilty. Exactly the same as what we say about any other man that does such heinous things. JIMMY SAVILLE !!

  The fact that noone is ALLOWED to talk or question anything, is seriously worrying.

  R&F are in a state of perpetual fear... they are burned out now mentally as well. they know somethings wrong, or they are still blinded to, it's imminent.

  they are confused now and panicking, i think. And it is going to get worse. At least here we can talk about these things and debate them. I would have no one else to talk to about it that understands, and can advise, and share experiences. Their past has caught up with them, the truth will out.

  Talk about cults.

  What if, this sounds mad but - cult ?

  There's a llist, right ? so they can contact you in state of emergency. like the big A ? your ready, out the door, gran your go bag baby, this is what you have been waiting for. It's finally arrived, imagine. They gather all the witnesses together, all around the world, at the same time, to their place of 'safety' cos this is it now, it's coming. deliverance, salvation. Waiting for Satan's governments to attack them and destroy them, and jesus is going to come now and save us, finally, the time has come.

  What next ? then what? it could very well happen, they might all gather together. then what. what are the possibiliites.

  It's like watching a movie play out, but we are all in it.

  so today after the meeting an older pioneer sister was outside as people were talking about the wonderful experience from the yearbook of the family in nigeria or wherever that went to the meeting and the plane destroyed their neighborhood.

  but since they were at the metting they lived..... .

  so she says, "you heard about the ones that died in a bus crash on the way to the convention????

  well there are emergency lists, right? with everyones contact number. So 'if/when' SOMETHING happens, they you are ready to go, just grab your go bag.

  If there was a scenario, as crazy as it may seem, many cults have done crazy stuff. Where they satrted gathering them all together across the world, together for safety, waiting, ready to be attacked by Satan's governments. the big A, salvation on its way.

  then what?

  what would happen next. they have got to the edge of the cliff.

  I am miserable...am I crazy?

  as a born in jw my outlet was always music.

  my parents let me do piano lessons (from another sister) and when i was 14 i lobbied hard enough for a guitar.

  i formed a decent punk/emo type in high school behind my parents back.

  This reminds me of an elder I knwon. A good man. Has dedicated his life. He too was into his music and guitars. He hasn't touched one since like forever, but you know music is his passion. his sacrifice for the society.

  Now he is older and burned out, struggling like all the rest. Still waiting for the end to come, which could take another 60 yrs for all we know.

  Don't sacrifice an ounce of happiness and joy you can give yourself. You may find your therapy through writing songs, playing guitar.

  Chin up. Hope this gives you something to think about. Do you want to be sat there in another 30 yrs saying, if only, i wish i had ?

  I saw dead people

  it has been a year now since the big breakdown in which i lost my belief system and almost lost my marriage too.

  i now look back and realize how close i came to completely losing my mind.

  all the evidence proves to me beyond a shadow of any possible doubt that i have been raised in a cult and that every single decision or indecision has been directly influenced from this fanatical belief system.

  Brilliant.

  I've been trying to explain TTAT to my fiancee and he doesn't get any of it I can tell. cos he's not in mentally, he cabn't grasp the concepts.

  i was saying to him about apostate, and what it actually is v what they portray it as in reality.

  so i said it to him about the RC church and all the abuse scandal in ireland and uk and everywhere else in the world (there is massiv epublic outcry, and mass protest from the people). I was RC. he was church of E, has some beliefs in a God.

  The jws are there slating the RCC even in RCC countries, slaying the church, wealth, child abuse... bla bla. I was embarressed at one meeting by it myself, it was so blatant, and it is programmed into their children from birth.

  So i said to my bf, well, I had huge problems agaisnt the church any way cos of it being the church, but as for the abuse, it is sick and abhorrent, so on that note I visually and vocally make a point of standing against the church for its sins.

  I have to take the same stand against the wt org. or else it would make me a hypocrite and my morals won't allow me to. I am a mother, if you are a parent you will understand how hod=rrific is must be for a child to suffer such things. Priests were moved. in congregation the abuser could stay in there, and the victim has to suffer in silence the torment of having to see or possible speak to that person for years growing up. if what is being said is true. They are guilty, no question. Who would want to be associated with something so filthy ?

  to the blind, the poor and to the captive.

  so who are the modern day captives ? In this present world of things. They are the same types of people. honest hearted and suffering, trampled on by the world (all the earthly organisations that sytematically over rule and abuse their fellow human) if you like.

  a proclomation addressed not to the theoritical reason, but to the hearer as a 'self'.

  It's interestsing.

  The point is, everything the JW's are saying, that finger they are pointing in their ignorance ...... can be turned around and pointed back at them ... because of their works.

  when all of this abuse stuff goes massive ... like the catholics, the jws are going to find themselves in the same boat with what they have been bitching about quite vocally over its child abuse scandal, and wealth, and false teachings, etc. etc.... are they jw any different ?

  How do I as a future "Therapist" help ex-jws that won't move on from the WT?

  i am halfway through my master's program in psychology/sociology and plan on being a therapist/sounselor.

  i left jw's in 1988 and i have never looked back.

  i enjoy my life so much after getting my aa degree, then my ba degree, and now i will soon get my ma degree.

  I'm not angry at the therapist. (if it's not a kid straight out of college trying to get experience, rather than a mature therapsit)

  I'm not happy about the tone and attitude of someone who claims to love their work as they want to 'help' people, or is it just another 'job' that pays the bills and the people don't actually matter, I haven't a clue, who cares about them, I'm alright kind of person.

  There are many people out there in the world, jw exjw and non jw from every level of life from child to pensioner that are trying to learn how to cope with abuse they have suffered at the hands of professed loved ones. it is the worse thing ever to have to suffer in one's life. I cannot really think of a similar or equivelant to describe how it is for them. To be tortured every minute of every day day after day, for years, for ever. To be living with the pain.

  It's real pain. REAL pain. that crucifies you. It tortures you from within, mind, body and soul, every day. It has to be lived with somhow there is no other way round it.

  Sorry, just want to get it out.

  So many people are still lost and in pain because they cannot get onto the right path to help and healing. They are lost. And it is so hard for some to just get through each day. There are zillions of doctors. therapists etc in the world . But there are very few with the needed skills to actually be effective and help people.

  Apostates are Perverts!!!

  last sunday's public talk was about tools the devil uses to tear down our faith, and as usual; apostacy, false teaching and erroneous thinking came up in the point, and the speaker went on and on, accusing apostates of being perverts and aspiring to live a life of debauchery which couldn't be tolerated amongst jehovah's people.. he further went on stating that if eventually apostates get into the world, they often find themselves not being able to mix up with satan's system as a result of the bible based understanding which they had acquired, and they ended up getting bitter and wasting their lives .

  those words were quite frightenning, i never heard it this strong before!!

  The end is near I reckon, really. something is about to break under all the pressure. that spring has been coiled so many times it about to go.

  I know that serious issues of peoples health are common place. I mean, mental health. There are a lot of people that are literally breaking down, they are used up and burned out .... exhausted from scurrying about 24/7 for years. Like slaves down the mines. Can't see and are isolated from society, they haven't a cue what's really happening.

  The cycle has repeated itself and they are now knowing what their like of 1975, and all of the other times like it, felt and went through and experienced. The devastation, hurt and pain of lies and false teaching, sacrificing their lives as true believers.

  It does hurt, to say and see this about people, suffering. We may know loved ones still in, we may have loved ones still in. It's kinda like a watching a burning building.

  It's going to come to a head right soon I reckon. it will be forced to.
