  .....has been changed for the third (!!!!!

  apparently, there were no elders available on the previous days so i just have to fit in.. wish me luck!.

  i have been in communication with an epicopalian priest through yahoo personals.

  he lives in south kansas but comes to this area often.

  i met him yesterday at barnes and noble.

  My great uncle who is in his late 80's has messed around on his wife for years and years. Probably most of their marriage. They have slept in different bedrooms for over 25 years. Why they live like that I have no idea. My dad told me that the only time she has gotten upset about his cheating is when he spent too much money on the mistress. One time she made him get a job (well after retirement) to make up for the money he spent. She then took over the fiances and started giving him $150 a week allowance to do with as he pleases. If he wants extra money then he has to earn it with a part-time job. What kind of job can a man his age do? His options are some what limited. This arrangement works for them. How I have no idea. It would make me utterly miserable.

  Since you called his house and she answered she has to know something is up. The signs are there that he is a cheater. Maybe she is in denial or simply doesn't care.

  how many of us went in field service and placed literature without even opening the covers ?, let alone reading the articles.. how about following up on a return visit for a magazine you never read ?.

  i have to admit, i did it many many times.. maybe we should of went into the used car business.

  I have always had a very busy schedule. Between school, homework, and working part-time I only had time to read Cosmopolitan. I don't know how I could fit in 4 boring WT and Awake magazines to read each month. No way.

  Do you get yearly visits from the elders?

  my sister just got a visit from the elders.

  this was the first visit in 10 years.

  an inactive friend told me they are supposed to visit every year.

  The 2 elders that came by did not even bother to call first. She is listed in the phone book and our JW mom has all her #'s. That just reminded her of how arrogant they are.

  My sister just got a visit from the elders. This was the first visit in 10 years. An inactive friend told me they are supposed to visit every year. They basically told her she was welcome to come back at anytime to seek reinstatement. That will be a cold day in hell. Why after all this time.

  How Did You Become Irregular and Then Inactive As A Publisher?

  did you suddenly just stop reporting time?

  did you do it gradually???

  what reaction did you get from the elders when you missed your first month reporting time?

  For a long time I just lied on my time and would only attend the meetings periodically. My main excuse was too much HW. When I stopped attending meetings all together I quit turning in my time. The first month they called up the house and my mom answered. She asked how much time I had and I said ZERO hours with a big smile on my face!! I don't know why she even bothered to ask. She knew that I was out of the org for good. Still in denial I guess.

  The second month they came over to "encourage" me and wanted to set me up with a pioneer sister to take me out in FS on weekends. I said no I am no longer going to meetings. They started to pull out the bible and I was like ummm no please respect my decision. They tried to talk to me a few times after that but I had nothing to say. It pissed them off when I refused to answer their questions. What could they do?? NOTHING!!! I was never dunked thank goodness. These are the same hypocrite elders that dragged me into the back on so many fact finding missions and was always trying to get dirt on me.
