Question about maternity leave

is it true that in america there is no paid maternity leave?.

if so surely that means most people have to return to work pretty quick after they have had a baby?

if thats true, then surely that means its not possible to breast feed your baby exclusively for any time at all?

I took 3 months paid maternity leave. That is not the norm though. I work for a company with awesome benefits.

Have You Ever Been Stalked?

i am not refering to the elders staking out a house to see if you're in there alone with another person who isn't your mate.. .

i am talking about 'regular stalkers' who stalk you for the obsessive psychological reason of needing to be near you physically.. ever been followed?.

ever had the feeling someone was looking through your windows?.

A few years ago I was posting on my college message board and posted a pic of myself. There was nothing provocative about the pic at all. This guy started e-mailing me and im'ing me constantly. I tried to be nice at first and then I flat out told him to leave me the hell alone. He then emailed and told me that I looked even more beautiful in person. He wrote that he saw me at the park. I was scared shitless. It was weird but he never approached me in person. He preferred to piss me off by emailing me 20 times a day. I went to the police and filed a police report. The police went and had a chat with him and he never bothered me again. I vowed I would never post a picture of myself online again and I haven't.

Now my dad was stalked years ago before they had stalking laws. He had dated this woman years and years before but it never went anywhere, After my parents divorced was finalized he went out with her again. He said she was still a fruitcake. So anyway she started coming by his house at 3:00 am and would pull her car as close to his bedroom window as possible and she would shine her bright lights and blast her horn. She did this all the time. He would go to the police and they would not do shit. She called him night and day. So anyway dad went to his mom and told her what was happening. Grandma in turn told this lady if she did not leave dad alone she would kick her ass. She also went and told everyone about her behavior. After grandma got involved she finally left dad alone.

Doesn't seem possible that this little face would be capable of such things... Not many people surprise me.. and I think I am a decent judge of charachter... but this is something else..

Listen to Scully and change those locks. I would also inform her bosses at work what she did and the false emails she sent out. I shutter to think of someone with her character working in HR.

I am so sorry. With all you have been through with your ex wife and now this. I think your ex needs to fly over to England and be with you know who. Again I am so sorry........

Lowly publishers can now attend international conventions

i don't know if this has been posted yet but my mom told me that there was a letter from crooklyn that publishers can now attend international conventions.

before only the pioneers, elders, etc could attend.

she said that there was a tremendous amount of excitement among the publishers that they now have the "privilege" of attending.

I asked my mom that and she said they were open to the public but to be able to travel with the other dubs you have to be approved. I guess the society makes the travel arrangements. She said to go for a week the minimum cost was $2500 per person and site seeing would be very limited. WTF???

She also said that her elder husband had been asked by half the lowly publishers for applications to attend.

My sisters wedding...

When my mom got remarried to a worthless elder my sister who is df'd was invited to the ceremony but not the reception. My brother and I attended the wedding but skipped the reception. Our other brother did not attend at all out of protest. If I had to do it over again I never would have gone. I still for guilty for attending. With the way your sister is acting she does not deserve your attendance.
