Field Service Reporting To Book Study

about three or four months ago the organization changed the way field service time is reported... they decided that everyone would not drop their time card in a box in the kingdumb hall but rather leave the report with their book study conductor.

i liked the fact before that i could leave the report with someone i seldom saw.

with the change i realized that with this change the elders had even more control and influence on me.

I liked the fact before that I could leave the report with someone I seldom saw. With the change I realized that with this change the elders had even more control and influence on me. Now I was being controlled and monitored with a magnifying glass. Now the book study conductor would see me in a small setting and be on my ass fall the time for not reporting or not reporting enough time. Remember its all about TIME, yes TIME!!!!!!

This inferiated me. I'm 38 years old and I must report this sacred time to some men. My sins are between me and God alone and so is my field service time. My question was, shouldn't my work be voluntary and my time kept confidential? This practice angered me just as much as the practice of sending a publishers card and letter to your new congregation.

This new practice helped me see how I was being controlled and manipulated. Thanks Borg!!!!!

In 1983, I was 20 years old, playing college baseball, I came into contact with the Dubs and within a year no more baseball, no more college. My parents were pissed!!

This makes me sick today although two years later I went against the grain and enrolled in college once again. My worldly parents warned me I might end up as a janitor.

Everything about this mind controlling cult is true with regards to this subject!!!! I lived it.

My Dumb Ass JW Brother

as some of you know from my sharing portions of my story on this board before, i disassociated myself from the jehovah's witnesses in 2001. my family, including my mother, sister, and brother, remain jehovah's witnesses.

i have an extremely limited relationship with my mother and sister.

i possess no relationship whatsoever with my brother, his wife, and their now 1 yr old son.

Thanks for replying to earlier posts of mine.

Been there, done that! Your'e brother must read these posts because they are all true, I've seen this shit time and time again. Maybe one day he'll get it. Better now than when he is 40 or 45 with three kids, shitty job, no retirement (why invest, thats a worldly philosophy, Jehovah will provide) debt, bitchy wife with no way out. My dad, worldly, came to me and gave me a come to Jesus talk about this shit but to no avail at the time, but I always kept that talk'in to in my mind.

I quit college after 2 years much to the dismay of my non-dub parents. The brothers saw no value in higher education(1984) and still today don't honestly give 100% support. I began to work in a car wash 2 hours a day (dead end but in the eyes of those bastards perfect) and then began running out of my parents home with my book bag in hand every afternoon to do the fine work auxilery pioneering. My parents were pissed!!! The brothers were drawing me into their world of freeloading, eternal poverty and ignorance.

I finally said F---- this, and went on through many intimidating glances and suspicion to pursue a future for myself and family by going to school, accepting jobs that required me to miss those F'ing boring meetings before it was too late. In the end I did the right thing and have no regrets. I was always was on the fringe, never in the inner circle because of this, oh well!!

Don't people get it? This is the mind control the Dubs have on their victims. The Bible never said you can't do any of this.

i wanted to hear the president's speech tonight, but can't stand listening to the man.

he has a prepared speech but he keeps saying nuc-you-lar instead of nuc-le-ar.

i can't stand it.. you would think his people would walk him through correct pronunciation.

I agree we must look at all issues with objectivity and not make it fit into one parties whole agenda. I must say though, I would fit more on the conservative side. Guess I have seen enough DUBS freeloading off friends and family for years just waiting.

I have been around this group of people long enough that you would think I would know exactly how this process worked. I am embarassed that for so many years I just accepted so much so blindly.

I never was williing to accept that I was involved in a cult but now I see the how the mind control and fear factor has truly affected me and my wife. How sad!!! This morning my wife was crying because she is afraid of what these minions are going to say about her if she is DA or DF, ie. what an unloving mother, she and her beautiful young kids will be destroyed at the big A. I saw today how the fear and mind control have gripped us for so long.

No looking back!!!!!

i have just being told that the judicial committee has decided to disfellowship me and that i have a week to appeal if i decide to do so.

the reason: "apostasy".

Thanks for chiming in on an earlier post of mine. Your story is eye opening to me and gives me an idea of how unreasonable and short-sighted these men can be.

I believe you like me have to let time work do its thing. I feel like I am slowly deprogramming my mind and thinking with reason once again.

But would they label me as having "disassociating myself by my actions", without a formal DA letter from me? Or would they just DF me for my open behavior with or without notice to me?

Blessings from Jehoovah - BAH!

i had so many fine blessings as a dub that after pondering on them...i am starting to wonder why i left.. some of my blessings were having the bookstudy in our home, oh what a fine blessing....i didnt have to go out on a cold night and i could save 20 minutes in travelling time....woohoo!!

making the unleven bread for the memorial, cool, i got to have the left overs *blech*.

also, working with the cos wife out on field service...yeah that was awesome, i got to pretend i was spiritual and i could talk crap all morning about the co's use of illustrations *choke*.

How about the couples who denied a true blessing from God "children". Oh you remember, "we are not going to have children in this terrible system of things", who would possibly want to subject their children to this awful world? "We are going to wait for the new world."

Many I am sure they now regret that decision missing out on true blessings from God and now it may be too late.

Sorry if I keep coming back to this but I need clarification.

Can I be DF if I am doing certain activities ie. birthdays, holidays, attending another church? I've been away from the Borg for two months. When the elders catch wind of any of these activities they will certainly come a callin. If I don't talk with them, not admitting to any of this but it is obvious what I am doing, will they DF me?

My point is I'd rather drift but I beieve they will DF me without one of their little meetings and without my knowledge of this. My current preference is

1. drift away

2. DA before they DF me

I understand the argument of drifting and not playing by their rules and would actually like to persuad a few friends and then just F%#@ around with others.

Any thoughts!!!
