Hey, come to think of it, I believe you and I are very familiar with that particular Ex-District Overseer that I mentioned above, who was ridiculed so much for what "insights" he brought to this discussion board on the hidden "agenda" of the Secial October 8th Meeting. Remember. But now, it seems we are beginning to see perhaps, he was right all along and was unjustly cricitized for trying to provide these "insights".

Very enlightening news I think.

Many have wondered about the real purpose of the Special October 8th, 2001 Meeting called by the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses. If we remember, during that time, we had on this discussion board, even an ex-District Overseer who said there was going to be released at that particular meeting some POWERFUL CHANGES in practice and in doctrine that would greatly change and affect the JW Organization earthwide. So much so, that we would never forget the implications of such a meeting. Because of all of the hype and comments such as these, many of us were all looking forward to that big meeting. But, when the meeting was held, as you recall, nothing of any consequence was said at this big, important meeting. What could have happened?

Further, as some of you probably remember, the ex-District Overseer (who was a regular participant on jw.com at that time) was openly chided and ridiculed by some on this discussion board because they were very disappointed in the results of the upcoming Big meeting of October 8, 2001. No, "new light" released at that time.

Well, I believe something happened that made it impossible for the Governing Body to release their "new light" at that particular meeting.

WHAT REALLY HAPPENED BACK AT THE SPECIAL OCTOBER 8TH MEETING OF JWS

Think back it seems this new perspective given in the June 1st Watchtower magazine shows exactly WHAT the Governing Body was planning to bring to all JWs attention (but didn't) in the big October 8th, 2001 Meeting about the UN. They changed their minds at the last minute. It was because a "leak" sprang (by the "Guardian" newspaper in England) just before they could share the "new light" on the UN with the brothers and tell them just how they really, really felt about "relations" and dealings with the UN were to be scripturally viewed. You see was spreading fast about the WTS' involvement with the UN as NGO at that time. And of course, jw.com played a very significant role in the spreading of that information. As you recall "Hawkaw" was quite getting newspapers to visit jw.com and follow the incredibly long thread that was building up on the recent discovery of the WTS' secret involvement with the UN as NGOs. As we recall, jw.com played a very significant role in all of this, back in 2001. Do you remember?

I also recall, so-called "apostates" giving key information to the Guardian Newspaper, who was the first to PRINT THE STORY and make it public in their newspaper and on their website, their powerful media strength. Do you remember that, all of you veteral posters on jw.com? It seems, when all of this "news" spreading fast by the the so-called apostates, they simply "stole the thunder" as they say from the Governing Body itself. This all happened before the Special Meeting of October 8, 2001.

And I believe this activity by so-called apostates in spreading the "news" about the Governing Body's Secret Affair with the UN forced the WTS into a very difficult situation, since so many people were finding out BEFORE the G.B. could break the news to the JWs ever so carefully. The focus and direction of the Special Meeting then must be changed, quickly!

They had to do something quickly because 10s of thousands of people were beginning to find out that the WTS had been secret NGO with the DPI (Department of Public Information) of the UN for the past 10 years and the JWs would not have the scriptural reasons to explain such a strange phenomena.

The spreading of this "secret liason" with the UN was sensational news! And when the "Guardian" broke the story around the time for the Special Meeting, Bethel was receiving phone calls from all over the world. In fact, a certain person by the name of "Truth1", 6 days before the big meeting, Bethel was inundated with phone calls leading up to that Special Meeting. For example a certain "Truth1" calls Bethel on October 1st, 2001, just before the meeting. He was trying to get more information from Bethel on the "news" that broke on the WTS NGO situation. Here is the conversation:

"...Just FYI, I called the Society in New York. Spoke with a young brother in the Public Information department and I asked him about this yesterday. I was forced to do this by my family because they accused me of getting apostate information. I asked them would they listen if I called the Society. My mother said she wanted it to come from them and that even if it is true, she's not doing anything unless told by the Society because she is loyal to the organization. Anyway, when I talked with the young brother, he asked me for the web address and had a computer right in front of him. I walked him through to the DPI/NGO Directory from the very beginning of the UN Website. So, he saw it for himself. He said that he did not know they were listed there but he did admit the WTBTS is an NGO of other entities. He was SHOCKED. He told me I could call him back in the morning. I called him back this morning (10/02/01) he told me they were still researching this matter because they wanted to "look into how the application was filled out and how it was initiated". He said they would never have initiated such a thing."

This brother tried all week long to find out what was happening. And the WTS was getting calls from everybody during that time and the people at headquarters front desk didn't know what to say about the "news" of the Governing Body's involvement with the UN. They were totally unprepared as to what to say about this situation. They only thing they could do was to be simply mute about the situation all that week leading up the big meeting. But right after the big meeting, we remember, what did the Governing Body do? Didn't they immediately REMOVE THEIR MEMBERSHIP (October 9th 2001) FROM THE UN? Action was taken the very next day.

Now a year and half later, after everything as died down a little bit, what happens? This article in the June 1st appears. And begins to show exactly what the ex-District Overseer intimated on this discussion board about the contents of that meeting. This prove I believe, he was correct. His "inside" information was reliable.But, the Governing Body because of the outside pressures put upon them from the so-called apostates and the media, change their minds at the last minute and decided NOT to give JWs new real feelings about the UN organization.

To back this up, someone by the name of "BibleExaminer" also brought this to our attention. It was just a few months before that big meeting that some very strange information was circulating among some brothers. This information I believe sheds some light on WHY the "new light" was necessary on the UN, from a scriptural point of view taken from Matthew 24th chapter.

The Governing Body originally thought that this "new light" information would form the basis for making the change on the UN, in the little minds of rank and file JWs. And once that scriptural "new light" information could be established firmly in the minds of the rank and file, the Governing Body could finally, then tell the brothers that they HAVE BEEN NGOs associated with the DPI of the UN for the past 10 years and no one would condemn them or be the wiser. Slick huh!?!

But the apostates spreading the news on jw.com and other discussion boards, and of course the "Guardian" news article changed all that.

Notice the so-called "scriptural" basis "new light" information from a Circuit Overseer below, brought to our attention by "BibleExaminer", just a few months before the Big Special Meeting. He said:

"...A "significant re-adjustment" in Watchtower dicta is in the works. Is it important? How so? If you do want to know, then take the time to read the following information, for doctrine is the motivation behind everything that is "Watchtower", and recent happenings within Watchtower-world shed light on the future course of the great ship Watchtower. ...

...So, it's no wonder that the Watchtower is going to change this self-contradictory nonsense by way of sermons given by COs instead of announcing it outright by way of their "channel" journal the Watchtower magazine. After the COs have made their rounds and given "new light" to congregations on a one-at -a-time basis, then the Watchtower can safely discuss Matthew chapter 24 with their new doctrine, and nobody will notice….So they thought! "

Now, here was the main point "BibleExaminer" brought out for us:

"...The CO is giving a talk that in summary says that the allegory of so many years is now GONE. He is teaching that there is no "second" and "greater" fulfillment of Matthew 24:15-16 but that it was fulfilled in complete in the first century, and ONLY UPON JEWRY."

"BibleExaminer" shows it would be preferable on the Governing Body's part to have this type of information "circulated" by C.O.s first and not necessarily WRITTEN DOWN in publications, which as you know would be a permanent record for them, in case something went wrong and strong objections were raised against the newfound viewpoint. (If first written in the publications, the G.B. couldn't weasel out of it at the last minute, claiming the C.O.s "ran ahead" of them, and typically leave the C.O.s hanging out there by himself for teaching this, and pretend they never said anything about it in the first place. In other words, lie their way out of it, as they usually do when things get hot for them.) The G.B. perferred in this instance, with the sensitve issue of the "Scarlet Colored Wild Beast", that tey should "test the waters" first, to see if the "coast was clear". And then, after that and nobody protested much and thought the "new light" on Matthew was good, go ahead and give the big talk and speech at one of their big assemblies. Release the big news as real "NEW LIGHT" from Jehovah! That was the plan. But when the apostates broke "news" to everyone about the Secret UN AFFAIR and everyone was finding so quickly, all that had to change. The Special Meeting could not go as planned!

So 1 1/2 years later, after that "NGO news" broke, what do we suddenly found out about the infamous UN organization? Why, just what you read in the June 1st of course. The "new light" of course. Jehovah's Witnesses would be SPECULATING if they said the UN was be responsible for an attack upon their organization. That would be speculating on their parts. Further, the scriptures do not indicate exactly who will attack God's People, just before Armageddon, which "beastly" organization will be used. Jehovah's Witnesses simply just can't say, scripturally speaking. That's the "New Light".

So, it seems now we can see the June 1st information was exactly what the October 8th Meeting was all about. But the "scriptural" information, at the last minute, had to be CANNED. And the June 1st Watchtower seems to be finally giving us some of that "canned" information. The "coast" must be "clear."

But when we go back and carefully consider the above comments of "BibleExaminer" and the Ex-District Overseer original comments, we see it was all a CALCULATED PLAN that went sour at the last minute. It was calculated all along to deceive the brothers about their secret liason with the UN and being secret NGOs for this hitherto, forbidden organization. And after some time had passed, the G.B.would slyly, gingerly going to lead all JWs up to "new light" about the UN. They planned all along to tell them that the UN no longer is believed to be a PART OF BIBLE PROPHECY. And for these reasons, they the Governing Body, no longer viewed the United Nations, the infamous forbidden, condemned Satanic organization as an organization TO BE AVOIDED.

And of course, if anybody questioned their "decision" on the matter, even after reading the scriptural proof presented, the Governing Body would simply say: the real proof the UN was alright in God's eyes would be that they, the Governing Body had privately made the decision to become NGOs for the UN. And had been such for indeed, the past 10 years. And further the past 10 years gave positive evidence, to the Governing Body (by way of the growth of the JW Organization during those years) that Jehovah God Himself had not taken his spirit from the organization in all that time. In other words, they have 10 years of proof that it is a good a righteous "decision" on their parts. So, the organization's growth numbers would be the real "proof" for such a change. (Between 1991 - 2001 JWs grew from 4 mil. to 6 mil.) So the growth numbers of the organization since 1991 would be the "proof" that it must be all right with God and the UN was not so bad an organization, after all, scripturally speaking of course.

Think about it.

FAST APPROACHING EVENTS AHEAD!

Daniel 11:20 = The US sending retired General Jay Garner as a strict "Exactor" [or TASKMASTER] to restore order for Iraq. He is the one who will be "broken in a few days, but not in anger nor in warfare". General Jay Garner is to head up the New interim staff for Iraw. But, he will NOT, I repeat, NOT be around for very long. Prophecy indicates it.

The prophecy says:

Logical,

I put my "trust" in God and any arrangement He sees fit to give us. And that means, I firmly believe in Jehovah's Newly Appointed Messiah, the Modern Day "Servant", as shown at Isaiah 49:1-7.

If you take the time and carefully read the above verses you will readily see, these verses DO NOT apply to Jesus Christ.

Personally, I happen to believe Jehovah's Witnesses, that's BAPTIZED JWs more specifically, were indeed members of God's New Covenant instituted by Jesus Christ. However, I personally believe they have lost that spiritual standing with God completely after the 1991 fiasco with the Governing Body's treason against Almighty God and Jesus Christ in the UN/NGO situation. Because of that act of total blasphemy on their part, JWs are "christians" no more in God's eyes, and thus they DO NOT have Jesus Christ as their mediator anymore. Now, the whole nation must be "atoned for" because of the "sins" of their "anointed" leaders before God, to regain their good standing with Him. (See Lev. 4:3; Ezekiel 16:59-63.)

Hence, if any wish to be saved then, they must accept and abide by God's New Arrangement for salvation. And we cannot get around this situation, the Holy Scriptures show.

I personally believe Almighty God has provided a NEW arrangement. A New mediator and a New Covenantal arrangement, because of the actions of the Governing Body in 1991, to save JWs as "Israel" and also all obedient mankind.

That is my belief.

MDS's Predictions For The Future

Further I believe, MDS will prove himself by his predictions of the future, and the "Great War" of Daniel 10:1. These are his written predictions for the future.

MDS claims Osama Bin Laden's quest for the destruction (or "deathstroke" or "swordstroke") of the United States and Great Britain thru Jihad will soon be realized! Although, the 2 nations will undergo a "healing" process afterward. (See Revelation 13:3, 12, 14.) This great destruction will come through the direct efforts of OBL and the small group called "Al-Qaeda", who is also foretold in scripture at Daniel 11:23. Also through the united efforts of the nations of Islam, viewing this as the foretold great battle or JIHAD that they must wage. I believe the world scene is perfect such a turn of events. In fact, on March 4th and 5th, 49 Islamic Nations are meeting in Quatar to discussion methods of opposition against the US/GB war efforts to disarm Iraq.

For some timenow, MDS has predicted the full culmination of this terrific situation to begin when the "King of the South" makes his historic "push" toward Iraq, as mentioned at Daniel 11:40. And we know, that could occur within weeks. MDS predicts Osama bin Laden specifcally, will prove to be the Bible's "Small Horn" of Daniel 8:23-25. And for another dominate 7 years (2003-2010), Osama bil Laden will also exercise his authority as the "King of the North" too, a world ruler and spiritual guide or guru for other Islamic nations. MDS, using the bible, predicts OBL dominance to go on for some 7 years. Then MDS predicts, again using God's Word the Bible, Osama bin Laden will be put do death by God Almighty himself, leaving the "10 horns" of Daniel's 4th beast to run things BY THEMSELVES (without OBL as ruler and leader) for a short period of time, after which God deals with them too, destructively. (Daniel 8:25)

Logical, we all know, MDS has made his predictions out in the open. He has written them down for all to read. Now, lets wait and see if they come true. MDS' predictions for the FUTURE are there for all to see. And if they prove accurate, this will remove all doubt about his claims to be God's "Servant". This is because, we know, only Jehovah God knows the future, in detail. Only Jehovah. So this would mean, if MDS' predictions about the future come true, it will clearly mean that

(a) MDS can only, only "proceeds from the Father", the only One that truly knows the future, and that

(b) MDS is the "Spirit of Truth" that Jesus Christ himself "sent" to guide us "into ALL TRUTH" and to "DECLARE THE THINGS COMING", or the future to us. (See John 15:26; 16:13.)

And, this would also prove, MDS' complete ministry, does indeed "bring glory" and honor to Jesus Christ, instead of detracting from his glory. This would prove MDS is what he is supposed to do, namely, he is only "declaring the things" that he "received" from Jesus Christ. (See John 16:14, 15)

Logical, the immediate future will tell, and I assure you, you won't have to wait much longer to know for sure.

Hi to all:

I'm happy to say, before this thing [Great War] is all over, many, many people on this board and around the world will indeed BECOME TRUE BELIEVERS IN GOD'S PROPHETIC WORD, and its unerring accuracy and truthfulness. -- 2 Peter 1:19

As for the name or designation of MDS [Modern Day Servant] as someone accurately mentioned above, it is the scriptural designation or name that he chose for himself as a direct take off from Isaiah 49:1-7, where he is shown to be the promised "light" for newly repatriated Israel and for also all mankind. God makes him this "light".

Luke 17:30 shows him to be the coming "Son of Man" -- that MUST BE "REVEALED" to all mankind. Indeed, I believe that time has come, that is God's timetable for this to happen!

John 16:13-15 shows him to be the coming "Spirit of Truth" that will act as a "guide" for ALL MANKIND. He is the only man on earth that correctly UNDERSTANDS the Bible and prophecy. He is inspired of God, and he will give ample PROOF of this fact. He is "anointed" by God's Holy Spirit, and also has the "gift of the spirit" as an outward sign he has been anointed by God. Thus using this gift of "discernment of spiritual utterances" or bible prophecy, he can accurately predict what the future brings. MDS will show he is quite unique as a contemporary of ours, and will in the end really prove he has God's Spirit in a very special way -- in a most undeniable way. (1 Cor. 12:10) MDS will accurately predict the future, and openly "declare the things coming" as John 16:13 says of the "Spirit of Truth". He will prove his powerful claims, by his special "knowledge" of the future!

John 16:14, 15 says he [Spirit of Truth] is forefold to "take from what belongs" to Jesus Christ. This proves the "Spirt of Truth" is a person, in this particular instance, and NOT God's Active Force, since God's Active Force has no such function before God. God's Active Force DOES NOT need to take anything from Jesus, as the verse says. But a living, breathing person, could. And in this special capacity, MDS will be become the "seed of Eve", the promised "seed" that would descend from this imperfect, sinful "woman", and the "seed of Abraham", as promised in Genesis 3:15 and 22:18. We remember, Jesus Christ did not descend from "Eve" as a fleshly descendant. He came from heaven above. He was free from sin, he was perfect. But MDS did descend from Eve, as a sinful descendant. Therefore, from this unique perspective, MDS can become the promised "seed" of Eve, that God said would accomplish all things. How? By the blood of Jesus, thru the doctrine of "justification" or being "declared righteous" or "justified", powerfully makes all of this possible. (Romans 4:6-8; 5:9-11) The "blood of Jesus" being applied to MDS then makes for him to be "declared righteous" or justification in God's eyes, which could give him this unique status before God. In this capacity, MDS can actually "bring honor" and to Jesus, just as the verses above from John 16th chapter show. Therefore, in this "justified" capacity, MDS can become the promised "heir of David", who eventually rules the entire earth as God's Choice as "king". By God's application of the blood of Jesus to MDS, makes it possible for him to become the promised "Shiloh" of Gen. 49:1, 10, that is supposed to come to mankind, in the "final part of the days".

All of this will be soon accomplished, by the mighty hand of God.

WAR-ERA OR ACTUAL WAR — WHICH?

But you may be wondering at this time, what is the true meaning of the ride of the "fiery-colored" horse? Let's notice what the Watch Tower Society says in the publication Revelation Its Grand Climax At Hand! about this "fiery-colored horse" and it's meaning for us today:

"...But now the rider of the red horse is given `a great sword.' What does this imply? With the eruption of World War I, human warfare becomes more sanguinary, more destructive than ever before. During the 1914-1918 bloodbath, tanks, poison, gas airplanes, submarines, huge cannons, and automatic weapons were used either for the first time or on an unprecendented scale...Even with the end of the war, there was no return to real peace on earth...Then, with his thirst for blood whetted, the rider of the red horse plunged into World War II. Instruments of slaughter became ever more fiendish, and casualties sky-rocketed to four times those of World War II...It is reliably reported that at least 19 million souls have fallen under the `great sword' since World War II." — pg. 94 ¶ 16, 17.

And so we can see that the Watch Tower Society teaches that the "fiery-colored" horse pictures a destructive war-era since the year of 1914, and has continued right up till our day. However, is this the case? In other words, does the ride of this horse really picture a particularly destructive war-era as the Society insists, since that fateful year of 1914? Or, could it picture something very different? Let's examine these verses for ourselves.

We read at Revelation 6:4:

"And another came forth, a fiery-colored horse; and to the one seated upon it there was granted to take peace away from the earth so that they should slaughter one another and a great sword was given him."

Now we ask the question: is a particular "war-era" (since 1914) being discussed here? Or is a particularly bloody "War" being discussed? Which??? Well, the foregoing words, we believe, actually point forward to a major, cataclysmic event for our day and time. No, it is not a series of events, such as a destructive war era that started in the year of 1914 (World War I) and subsequently continued down to the present. No, but it pictures a specific event in human history. It pictures the foretold great battle shortly to unfold between the "King of the North" and the "King of the South." And, the "pushing" between these two opposing political factions is just about to start, as the Bible says, "in the time of the end." — Daniel 11:40

Jehovah's Witnesses have long been taught, by the Watch Tower Society, that the political nations of our world are shortly, in the near future, to issue the cry of "Peace and Security." This great proclamation and announcement will, according to the Watch Tower Society, lead immediately to the destruction of false religion ("Babylon the Great") and thereafter God's final War of "Har-mageddon." (See Nov. 15, 1981 Watchtower pgs. 14, 15)

However, is this what the Bible teaches as the immediate future for God's Name people today? In order to arrive at the correct understanding, we must go back to the events spoken of in the Bible at Daniel the eleventh (11th) chapter. We must closely examine what we have been taught, since it can be scripturally proven that these teachings are obviously in error.

First of all we notice, the "pushing" between both "kings" cannot be said to be a "cold war" of sorts that continues over a long period of time. (See July 15, 1981 Watchtower pgs. 6, 7) No, but this foretold "pushing" leads directly to a confrontation, yes one of major proportions that leaves many, many people dead! In other words, it leads to WAR — the same war spoken of at Rev. 6:4 in which the aftermath results in famine, disease or pestilence and great lost of life. These events are also the same ones spoken of at Matthew 24:7,8, Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:10,11. Let's notice how this point is brought out at Daniel 11:40 where it states:

"And in the time of the end the king of the south will engage with him in a pushing, and against him the king of the north will storm with chariots and with horsemen and with many ships; and he will certainly enter into the lands and flood over and pass through."

Now after reading this verse of the Bible, does this sound like a long, drawn out "cold war?" Certainly not!

The scriptures are very clear, very emphatic to show that the "King of the North" will move swiftly to overrun the enemy! Yes, he will "storm," and "flood over and pass through" with "many horsemen," "chariots," and "ships." Clearly, this is WAR, and one that is on a magnitude that is unprecedented! And what will be the immediate resulting effects of this

same said "war" upon God's Name people and the world at large? Let's notice the following information.

A CLEAR VICTOR EMERGES

We see from a careful examination of these verses, that a Victor does emerge from this particular battle. This is in stark contrast to what has been previously stated by the Watch Tower Society on the actual outcome of the same battle. Let's notice this comment:

"Whatever the extent of the "pushing" by the "king of the south" may be, and whether the "king of the north" literally `floods over' by invading other lands, or not, one thing is certain: According to Daniel's prophecy, neither "king" will achieve a decisive victory over the other." — See July 15, 1981 Watchtower pg. 7 ¶ 3.

Is that what you believe? But think — does not the verse itself insure the actual outcome of the battle? Yes, does it not show that indeed the mysterious "king of the North" will emerge victorious over the "king of the South?"

But you may be saying: "So what...if the leaders of this organization are wrong, it still doesn't affect me."

Oh, but how wrong you are! Yes, it will affect Jehovah's Witnesses in the most profound way! How do we know? Let's examine the very next verse:

"He will also actually enter into the land of the Decoration, and there will be many [lands] that will be made to stumble. But these are the ones that will

escape out of his hand, Edom and Moab and the main part of the sons of Ammon." — Daniel 11:41

The "land of Decoration" has many times been applied to God's people, Jehovah's Witnesses, in the Watch Tower Society's publications. But did you notice what the scripture says will happen to God's people, as a direct result of this War? Yes, He [King of North] will "enter into the Land of the Decoration." Yes, he will attack God's people! But, will this attack result in Jehovah's protection of His Name people?

Well, the scripture says:

"and there will be many [lands] made to stumble."

But, Jehovah's Witnesses, stop and ask yourself for a moment:

What do "many lands" have to do with this one land, the "land of Decoration?"

Actually, nothing! The "king of the north" cannot pass through the "land of Decoration" and stumble or affect "many lands." The verse simply says that he is passing through one land, the "land of Decoration." Think about it. Obviously, there is more going on here than "meets the eye" at first glance. Let's look a little closer.

If we look carefully at the verse, we will notice that the word "lands" has been placed in the Bible by the translators. That is why the word "lands" appears in brackets in the New World Translation. It is an inserted word intended to change the thought from the obvious. Think about it. However, if you check, you will notice that other translations do not show any such word as "lands" in this verse. For example, the Interlinear Bible - Hebrew Greek English Translation for instance, says:

"He shall also enter into the glorious land, and many shall be stumbled..."

Yes, "many shall be stumbled" from the "Glorious Land" or the "Land of Decoration," — Jehovah's Witnesses, God's Name people. Yes, many of Jehovah's Witnesses will be severely persecuted, and subsequently "stumbled." This unforeseen, intense period of persecution or "trampling" of Jehovah's Name people is what the Bible calls the "Gentile Times." This situation of being overrun by the political governments, will prove to be necessary "discipline" from Jehovah because of "transgression" committed by God's people. — Luke 21:24; Rev. 13:3-10; Daniel 8:12.

But who is he, that is the "king of the North?" Well, suffice it to say for the time being, that he is one and the same with the one spoken of as the mysterious "small horn" that comes up among "ten horns" upon the fourth (4th) beast's head, and thus takes the lead in persecuting Jehovah's people. (Daniel 7:7,8 & 19-26) He is also the enemy of the "King of the South." But wait, hasn't it previously been taught that the "small horn" was himself, the "King of the South" — the British-American Dual World Power, yes the leader of the Democratic bloc of nations? (See July 15, 1981 Watchtower pg. ¶ 4 and Sept. 15, 1982 Watchtower pg. 15 ¶ 15) However, that explanation is quite impossible. Why???

Let's notice what Daniel 8:9 pointedly says:

"And out of one of them there came forth another horn, a small one, and it kept getting very much greater toward the SOUTH and toward the sunrising and toward the Decoration."

Did you notice that he gets "greater toward the South," that is, toward the [King of the] "South" ... as well as the [land of] "Decoration." Yes, he is against the [king of the] "South" and God's Name People, Jehovah's Witnesses, the [land of] "Decoration." Therefore the "small horn" could not be against the "South," as the verse says, and at the same time himself be the "king of the South," can he??? That would not make sense. Think about it. — Daniel 8:10, 11

Yes, the Bible does make very clear that the most destructive War of all human history has not occurred yet! No, but instead, this great war or "sword" is shortly to come upon us in our day and time! Yes, the much dreaded and feared World War III! In fact, Daniel himself saw this same War afar off, and the vision of it's carnage, and destruction made him sick for 3 weeks! Imagine that, 3 weeks! But where is that in the Bible?

Let's notice this quote of Daniel 10:1, 2 taken from the New International Version Translation:

"In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a revelation was given to Daniel (who was called Belteshazzar). Its message was true and it concerned a GREAT WAR. The understanding of the message came to him in a vision. At that time I, Daniel, mourned for three weeks. I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over."

And again, what did Daniel really see that could have such an effect upon him? Daniel saw the greatest war ever fought in all human history! And it's destruction and death toll will be unparalleled! Remember, the Bible book of Daniel calls this war: the war of the "King of the North" and the "King of the South." And this is the same war spoken of at Revelation 6:4. Indeed, such a war will trigger the worst military violence, epidemic of diseases, and death toll in all of human history! Yes, the actual rides of the "fiery-colored, black, and pale horses" with "hades" reaping a fourth (1/4) of the world's population! Think about it. — Rev. 6:2-8

At a time when a tape handed over to the Qatar-based Al-Jazeera television station has received widespread expose for its purported comments by Osama bin Laden in praise of recent terror events around the world, another al-Qaeda message released to the same station has received little coverage.

Al-Jazeera was granted an interview with one Mohammed al-Usuquf, allegedly al-Qaeda's number three. Al-Usuquf is said to be a doctor in physics and to hold a masters degree in international economics. A copy of the interview was sent to the prestigious Arab-language daily Al Quds Al Arabi, edited in London, but it was not printed.

Asia Times Online has obtained a copy of the interview, and reproduces excerpts here, with the caveat that the identity of the man has not yet been confirmed, nor has his membership within al-Qaeda.

Al-Usuquf says that al-Qaeda's Kuwaiti spokesman, Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, and bin Laden himself, suggested that he grant the interview. Bin Laden, he says, is "alive and healthy, along with his commanders Mohammed Atef, Khalid Shaik Mohammed and Mullah Omar".

Al-Usuquf starts by criticizing Washington's disrespect of the Kyoto Protocol on climatic change, the International Criminal Court and the Palestinian cause, as well as the "financial greed" engendering speculative gains over Third World countries. He also criticizes the manner in which America wastes wealth, like US$80 billion a year on gambling. "They [have] lost the notion of spirituality and only live in sin."

For this reason, America must be destroyed, and al-Usuquf insists that "aircraft carriers, nuclear submarines and spy satellites will be worthless in the next war".

Al-Qaeda, according to him, has 5,000 first rank operatives and around 20,000 all over the world. Of all the prisoners in the US, only "20 or 30" are al-Qaeda, and all of them "second-rank". Confirming Asia Times Online information, he swears that there are no first-rank prisoners in Guantanamo in Cuba. Al-Usuquf says, "We have more than 500 first-rank and 800 second-rank [operatives] inside the US." "First rank" are considered ones that have lived in the US for more than 10 years, most of them married with children. "They have an idea about the plans, and they are just waiting for a call." "Second-rank" operatives arrived in the past five years and "have no idea about the plans". They are all willing to die.

Al-Usuquf insists that September 11 "was just the beginning. It was a way to call the world's attention to what's going to happen." He then details a plan to destroy the US by "attacking the heart of what they consider the most important thing in the world: money".

"The American economy is an economy of false appearances," says al-Usuquf. "There's no real economic weight. American GNP is something around $10 trillion, but only 1 percent comes from agriculture, and only 24 percent from industry. So 75 percent of its GNP comes from services, and most of it is financial speculation. For someone who understands economics, and apparently America's Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill does not, or cannot, the US as a whole behaves like an immense dot.com, and dollars are its stocks. The value of stocks from a given company is directly proportional to its profitability. When a company only provides services, but does not produce goods, the value of its stocks depends on its credibility. What I'm saying is if US credibility is affected, its stocks - the US dollar - will fall at tremendous speed, and the whole American economy will collapse."

Al-Usuquf is absolutely positive, "because, in a smaller scale, this is exactly what big financial conglomerates do with Third World countries to collect profits in one month that no Swiss bank would guarantee in four to five years". Al-Usuquf says that al-Qaeda could do the same by "provoking a deficit of $50 to 70 trillion, the equivalent to five to seven years of the GNP of the US". How? By "destroying America's seven largest cities and some other measures". The means? "Atomic bombs."

Al-Usuquf's most startling revelation is that the bombs "won't be launched, they are already there". "Seven nuclear heads have already been positioned on American soil, before September 11, and they are ready to be detonated. Before September 11, American security was a fiasco, and even later, if we needed, we could position the bombs there. They arrived through seaports, as normal cargo. A nuclear head is not bigger than a fridge, so it can easily be camouflaged as one. Thousands of containers arrive at a seaport every day, and even with very efficient security, it's impossible to check and examine each one of them."

Al-Usuquf says that the bombs were bought on the black market: five from the former USSR and two from Pakistan. The five Russian heads "are from T-3 missiles, also known as RD-107, and their power is around 100 kilotons each, that is five times the Hiroshima bomb. The Pakistani ones are less powerful, something around 10 kilotons each."

Each of the Russian bombs would have cost around $200 million. Al-Qaeda was able to raise the money "because we have many sponsors. Many countries sponsor us, and also some very rich people." And not all of these are Arab countries. "Some European countries as well are also interested in the fall of the US." As to the "rich people", they are "people who are also tired of seeing the US bleeding the rest of the world."

And Iraq's Saddam Hussein, says Al-Usuquf, is not one of these people, "but just a collaborator, represented by Abdul Tawab Hawaish, his vice prime minister and responsible for Iraq's arms program".

Al-Usuquf says that the bombs cannot be detected by US authorities. "Even if they are old, they were modernized and are very well hidden. Even if they were located, they have autodetonation mechanisms in case something or someone gets close. Even an electromagnetic pulse is not capable of deactivating them." The bombs allegedly cannot be detected because "they are enveloped in thick layers of lead". They could be detonated "by various methods - cellphone call, radio frequency, seismic shock or by their regressive clock".

Al-Usuquf details the whole plan. "First, one head would be detonated, which would cause the deaths of 800,000 to 1 million people and a chaos never seen before. During this chaos, two or three planes, which are now disassembled inside barns near empty roads in the US countryside, would take off in suicide missions to pulverize another two or three big American cities with chemicals. Once the disease was identified, all seaports and airports would be quarantined. Land borders would also be closed. No plane, boat or car would enter or leave the US. This would be total chaos." The first target would be the city "that would offer the best conditions, for example bright sky and winds of eight or more miles an hour blowing towards the center of the country, so radioactive dust can contaminate the largest possible area".

This attack would not knock out the US, recognizes al-Usuquf, "But the process would be initiated. As with the World Trade Center, it would be just a question of time for the whole economic structure to be turned to dust. If the objectives are reached with one bomb and diseases, probably we will save the lives of other people, but it's risky, and probably six more bombs will be detonated, one a week, and more attacks with chemical weapons will be launched." According to estimates made by al-Usuquf "and Ayman al-Zawahiri", al-Qaeda's number 2, about 15 million people would die, victims of the bombs and the radiation. Among those contaminated by diseases, "25 percent will die, a figure around more than 5 million, plus many others due to the chaos and disorder".
Al-Usuquf does not fear an American military response. "Even if five or 10 cities are chosen at random to be destroyed, it will still be a small price to pay. The problem is that the economic despair will be so great that even if it saves [money] by not using weapons, American liquidity will be near zero, and the US will make more money selling a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier to Turkey or Italy for $5 billion, because they will urgently need to recapitalize. But it will be too late. Moreover, what will remain of an American soldier's morale to fight knowing that his whole family died and his country ceased to exist? To fight for what?"

The world economy would not collapse, says al-Usuquf, although "in the beginning, it will be very difficult. But without the US the world will soon rise in a more just and fraternal manner. Nothing can stop the plan."

And whatever America does, "it's too late". When will the attack begin? "I can't tell."
