I have no need to 'run' simply because of the comments of a few ill-informed individuals concerning my beliefs. I will continue to make comments on any thread that I deem appropriate. Jehovah accurately predicted in His word the reaction of His people to what He is about to do, which is recorded at Acts 13:41 where it reads:
"Behold it, you scorners, and wonder at it, and vanish away, because I am working a work in your days, a work that you will by no means believe even if anyone related it to you in detail."
So I am not surprised at the reaction of any JW or ex-JW to the message we present to them.

In answer to your questions above, I would be more than happy to cover anything you want to know about the "Report" book and the special message of the YORWW. I am very familiar with what they teach since I have been affiliated with the group since its conception, in 1991. In fact, I can even see that you receive a FREE COPY of the publication (along with any others who might be interested), if you like. I just happen to have a few extras on hand. So, just let me know by PM, and we can go from there. As to the question of the statements about the WTS and UN, relative to the unique posture taken by the September 8th, 1991 Awake magazine toward the UN...yes the "Report" book was the first to make mention of that fact, officially in October 1994, when the book (volume 1) was copyrighted and began to be distributed. There are quite a few people on this discussion board that already have a copy of the book and can verify the veracity of the above statements. (I can provide page numbers and paragraphs, if necessary.) To give you a little background on the situation, it was actually right after the WTS came out with the Sept. 1991 issue of the Awake magazine, that the author of the "Report" (Donald C. Burney) my youngest fleshly brother by 14 years, noticed a serious change in the language and approach toward the UN entity by the Society. So, he initially wrote a treatise on the subject, dated December 1991, of which I still have a copy. In this treatise, Don pointed out, the WTS had made a drastic change from their previous stance between the JW Organization and the UN Organization, actually tantamount to committing OUTRIGHT Apostasy against Jehovah God. (This was strong language back during those days, as the Society didn't have that many dissenters during those days.) Also, some of us (from TWMC, as we were known then) began to write letters to the WTS on this alarming situation. We were wondering if the WTS had officially changed their position on the UN but really hadn't told anyone, judging from the way the article was written. Of course, they wrote back and said this was not the case. Needless to say, over the years, many people who became aware of our pointing forward to the Sept. 8th, 1991 Awake magazine as being different or unusual in content, sometimes would deride us and chide us about this, saying this was a ridiculous thought and wondered why we even bothered to put this type of information into the book in the first place. They said it was all ridiculous "speculation" and "guesswork" and we couldn't prove a thing. I remember the letters, LOL. Yep, we took some heat for even saying this, so early before things really became known. And of course, you know what happened after that, later in 2001. The WTS itself was exposed for being secret NGO supporters of the UN, and the Sept. 8th 1991 Awake magazine became the "showcase" article itself in fact, that got the WTS accepted to become NGOs for the UN. That UN 1992 Press Release is tremendous!!!
This Press Release unequivocally shows the Watchtower Society has been lying all along about the requirements changing for NGOs over the years leading up to 2001, without their knowledge.

I wasn't aware this 1992 UN Press Release existed and was available on the net before now. Of course, this completely destroys "Thirdwitness" foolish assertions that the "rules" for NGOs changed without the Watchtower Society's knowledge.

I just wanted to commend you on your bravery in posting such a thought-provoking question on JWD. Actually, contrary to the overwhelming response given so far on this topic, I too agree with you that the Jehovah's witnesses do indeed, have a fundamental bank of basic bible "Truths" that seemingly sets them apart from all other religions. In our bible study group, we've found about 40 of them, actually. (See link below)
Anyway, you may be surprised to know that you are not completely alone in your thinking, as I myself and others, have come to and maintained this particular viewpoint of things. And this is in face of the fact, I am fully aware the Watchtower Society's leadership is unquestionably wicked in real-life practice & actions (NGO, Child Abuse situation, ect), as were as their teaching many "man-made" doctrines that led the organization in disrepute and outright opposition to God. In this way, they have made themselves exactly like the wicked Pharisees when leading God's People Israel, Jesus' day. (Matthew 15:8, 9)
Nevertheless we remember, the Pharisees taught a "basic" truth, so much so that Jesus could confidently say in gist:
'...do as they say, but NOT as they do.' -- Matthew 23:3
Having said that, please find below a link that provides a biblical explanation for the "cognitive dissonance" you speak of...namely, Jehovah's witnesses (just like the ancient nation of Israel) possessing some "good" elements within themselves, as well as clear, proven "bad"...AT THE SAME TIME...producing "cognitive dissonance" within most, when they become aware of it.

AuldSoul, I want you to know...your efforts personally (in refuting this hopeless JW moron "Thirdwitness") and your efforts in writing on JWD are truly appreciated by informed ones on the NGO situation like myself, as well as countless others who maybe sincerely trying to figure out this seemingly baffling UN-NGO fiasco, that the WTS has gotten themselves in for close to 10 years and now want to "neatly" explain it away.
In the above presentation, I think you have made it much easier for the average JW to understand the wicked "semantics" and word-play of the WTS in action, in their "Official" verbage to the "flock" on the UN-NGO debacle.

Actually, the name is YORWW Congregation ...not YORRW. But thanks again for the mention.
The Name YORWW stands for, "Yah Our Righteousness" World Wide, taken from Jeremiah 33:16 and Psalms 68:4.
Since I've been associated with the YORWW Bible Movement for the last 15 years, I can assure you...there is no "evil" associated with it at all. Just some well-publicized controversial viewpoints that challenge the biblical scholarship of many "weak-minded" JWs, and long-standing traditional standards set by the "old guard" of religious-christian belief. History tells of course, when a religious viewpoint presented is new, fresh and UNFAMILIAR to the general populous, it always tend to "ruffle the feathers" of the less-informed, who dutifully make it their business to attempt to leave the "stain" of contempt upon any (members of the YORWW and those interested like-minded ones) who sincerely aspire for something greater in their spiritual lives, biblically-speaking, yes beyond the wicked Watchtower Society and their 6-million most pitiable adherents (like "Thirdwitness)...as amply demonstrated ON A DAILY BASIS for all to see... on this particular discussion board and others around the world.
As mentioned, the LWF website [www.livingwatersforum.com] and the CE Discussion board [www.crossingeuphrates.com], are closed to the general public. This is because both boards are respectively set up as PRIVATE INSTRUCTION FACILITIES...for a very specialized audience who today possess the Biblical wherewithall and spiritual prowess to handle the material and subject matter, and who are willing to an earnest effort to "see" or make the mental connections of this most challenging message, which has been asserted by the YORWW for approaching to 2 decades now, among Jehovah's witnesses. (The message and the book itself, "The Report" has been around since the early 1990s, being made available on the net and bookstores for years now.)
