I had to log in to give you hearty congratulations. I love what you did for yourself. I did the same, but got a two year degree, at the age of 44. It was the best thing I did for myself after leaving "it". And we do know how to study. It was the same. 4.0 for me. 3.74 rocks!

I say DO reply and reply with love, unconditional love. Keep it simple. Like this:
Dear Mom and Dad,
We love you more than anything. You raised us well and you continue to be good parents. We love all our family, even when we don't agree. You are always mom and dad.
Your daughter always,
Daughter

Another elder came and told me I'm not an apostate and no-one can judge me.
by Julia Orwell ini'll call him bear, like teddy bear because he's big and nice.
bear's the coboe, an intelligent but jittery man who suffers from a host of anxiety disorders.
he 'just happened' to be driving down my street after the group, and 'just happened' to notice i was at home, tending to some animals.

People are waking up to TTAT all the time, many elders too. Bear could be awakening or even awake already trying to figure out how to proceed. If he is as anxious as you say, then he is naturally more alert and more aware of subtleties in all contexts. Even so, I think you played it nicely not to bite any bait. Over time you wil be able to tell if he is fishing for incrimminating evidence or trying to see if he trust you. He came by himself and not with another elder, a promising sign.

New light about the FDS “class” being chosen to be the FDS in 1919 but not yet appointed over all things until Jesus arrives or comes during the great tribulation.
In summary, the new light is as follows. There are two appointments.
1919 = Mt. 24:45 Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time?During the great tribulation = Mt. 25:46, 47 Happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so. Truly I say to YOU, He will appoint him over all his belongings.
This is indeed new light from the Jehovah’s Witness perspective. Jehovah’s Witnesses have believed for over 90 years that the FDS was chosen and appointed over all things in 1919. You would have to live and breathe as a JW to understand the psychological implications of following and supporting the slave class that Jesus himself appointed over all his earthly belongings. But now that is old light. The FDS has not yet been appointed over all things.
Who is the originator of that old light so that Jehovah has had to correct it 90 years later? And why would Jehovah allow this misunderstanding, this untruth, to continue for over 90 years? The originator is the same group that now says it has a clearer understanding of itself, and now understands that it was chosen in 1919 to dispense food at the proper time and will later be appointed over all things during the great tribulation. This it says of itself in The Watchtower July 2013.
…he and his Father came and inspected the temple, or spiritual arrangement for worship, from 1914 to the early part of 1919. They were pleased with a small band of loyal Bible Students who showed that their heart was with Jehovah and his Word. Of course, they needed some cleansing, but they humbly responded during a brief period of testing and refining. Those faithful Bible Students were true Christian wheat. In 1919, a time of spiritual revival, Jesus selected capable anointed brothers from among them to be the faithful and discreet slave and appointed them over his domestics.
Proof factor that this occurred, 0%.
Imagination and self-congratulation factor, 100%.So in the whole world, during 1914 – 1919, Jesus and Jehovah inspected all the Christian based peoples and found only a small group of Bible Students in Allegheny, PA, USA whose hearts were with Jehovah and his Word. In the whole world? And this small group needed some cleansing but just happened to be the printers of a magazine where they could print this claim about themselves. And they knew Jehovah's business and they could speak for Jehovah that he had not chosen anyone else in the whole world, just themselves.
Proof factor, 0%.
Speculation and self-congratulation factor, 100%. -

Da Bible. Am I making this up?
by Bob_NC inthis is what i get from the beginning.. some high level, supposedly beautiful, angel used his free will to go his own way.
we were told to call this one "satan.
"supposedly 1/3 of the un-named angels used their free will and followed satan.the first 3 humans in the bible used their free will and went their own way.the 4th human was offering sacrifices that god liked and, so, god liked the 4th human.

Some high level, supposedly beautiful, angel used his free will to go his own way. We were told to call this one "Satan." Supposedly 1/3 of the un-named angels used their free will and followed Satan. The first 3 humans in the Bible used their free will and went their own way. The 4th human was offering sacrifices that GOD liked and, so, God liked the 4th human. He was killed by the 3rd human. After some many years God spoke and said that he was sick of humans and wished that he had never created them. By then there were thousands of humans. God did not like any of them. God comes up with a new plan. He will drown thousands of humans and millions of animals, all of them, except for just a few samples of each kind. Several times early on it was proclaimed that things created were "good".
What has worked right so far? Am I making this up? -

What do you believe about the bible?
by bethelyellowdollarbag ini'm interested in how we all view the bible?.
let me start by offering three different options:.
a.. a book that at best may have cultural or historical interest but that is it.. b.. a divinely inspired guide that i consult to make important life choices.
-
Bob_NC
D. A story book that begins with ancient myths and builds the story with events of one nomadic group who view every event that happens to them as divine intervention by God. Some true historical events. Some total fabrications.

A Letter to My Mother :-(
by StinkyPantz2.0 inhi mama, im bridget gaudette, your 34-year-old daughter.
we havent talked much the last dozen or so years.
i know its because i rejected my religious upbringing and you felt you had to choose between god and me.
-
Bob_NC
Hi Gaudette,
Very touching. I am a dad to a 34 year old daughter. Would you consider sending the letter to your mom? I think she would be touched to know the personal things about yourself that you mention, your honesty, and you nonjudgment of her. It could possibly break through? You never know.

They ambushed me!
by Anony Mous inwhen i was bringing my daughter back to her mother's house two elders stopped me and told me they wanted to talk.
i said i didn't have time, they asked me if i wanted to stop by the kh on saturday to talk to them.
i said i didn't have time.

Any Mouse (sorry couldn't help myself) I am so delighted that you stood your ground with these boars and said what you felt, that you don't want to go the KH to talk about anything. I have not been to a meeting in over 12 years. Guess what...I still get periodic phone calls from elders and occasional doorbell rings once some found out where I live. I don't want to have to tell these fellows what you did. It is so annoying to be put in that spot. You'd think they would take a hint, as in "I ain't going any more and I sure know where you are. Duh?"
Thank you for sharing and it was obvioulsy an ambush.
