Calling All Who Were JWs Between 1967 and 1980
by -Crossroads- inhello jwn,.
to introduce myself, i am still in the jws but learned ttatt some months ago.
i now ask this question to get more info on a past teaching.. between 1967 and 1980 was when the 'current understanding' of the wts was that organ transplants were cannibalism, and thus abhorrent.

I do remember a speech in 1974 when a brother tried to explain hearth transplantation and their consequences. In the Bible it is explained that your heart is your inner soul together with the blood.
And when it was obvious that a man could live with another man’s organ and blood, a lot of confusion was rocking the Soc. The speech was utterly so confusing that I saw a lot of attendance’s “smiled”. Nothing was really explained.
At that time many members of the cong. also said that vaccinations where absolutely forbidden. Now that is something I haven´t been able to trace in written. But it really shows that many religious societies, with their antique visions of “life”, do not understand science and reality reasons.

Where does WT get their money?
by Dreamerdude ini assume they get most of it from cash donations and assets left in wills.
there may also be some income from invested assets.
i guess they get a lot of money from old jws who die childless or with only df'd kids.geographically i assume they get it mostly from a few countries that have many publishers and strong economies.

I can tell you that here in sweden, they have closed the bransch office, sold out the assembly hall, and a number of KH:s. Its surely shows that northern europe is not their "money maker"... But sweden denmark norway and Netherlands are also the most atheistic countries in the world. No religion will have any success here. Not even the different Islamic versions...

Things I Never Knew When I Was A Witness!
by disillusioned 2 inthere are some things that as a witness i never knew.
maybe i was just going through the motions, attending meetings and not listening much.
never was very good at personal study or underlining answers in watchtower or book study (i never ever answered up) was too shy.. i never knew when i was a witness that they taught that jesus had looked down on the earth in 1919 to see who was serving god most accurately, and of course he chose a small group of bible students living in america!

Yes, there were many things I never knew. But there were also many things I knew, but suppressed. I did not know the business idea, that the WT had. To let voluntary people build and by them estates, and then selling them on the market with profit. I didn´t understand the brilliant idea to cover up all these transactions within a tax free org. registered as a non-profitable org. or an international Aid org. I didn´t know that the soc. where a member of the UN (NGO). And I had no idea that many of the elders in the cong. took advantage of their pos. and became pedophiles.
And I can assure you that there are still many things we never know….

Drifting away!
I faded about 20 years ago. Now I am DA.éd. My entire family (6 children) are also saved. Still my wife is in!!! But I guess spiriually week - since non of her family members like her behaviour. Saying this only to assure you that you are not lonesam.
We still wait for her...... But I know her friends (in cong.) means to much. She suffers from cognitive dissonance.... But her cong. is shrinking rapidly...
You must take it easy and never confront your wife or relatives with your knowledge of ttatt... Just wait and say that you are sick have depression or anything

I don´t think that ”the Watchtower” as an organization would have any benefit from hiding their money (for the moment) from tax authorities….But Individual private person in control of the assets, could easily hide away large sums of money for example for future retirement if the org. collaps….
It´s called money washing..
No trace of the money no individual person can be charged

For years I have been wondering about the WBTS: where are the money?
Today I think there is a chance that we might have a chance to a big break through. I panama registered lawyer firm:, Mossack Fonseca, has dropt a list with over 200.000 registered tax reduction firms, registered, in the British Virgin Islands, Cayman islands and others. Some on this firm dropped via Wikileaks, and all these document are now available over the internet. I think that this might be the chance of finding Watchtower related names, not to mention the GB or Watchtower inc. (Don Alden Adams and other), this to reveal fraud from the high ranking people. I Will start digging a.s.p, and I urge you all other friends to do the same…

Who Selected the Canon? Does “The Watchtower” Tell Us the Whole Story?
by Doug Mason inat pages 27 to 29 of its article, does the bible tell us the whole story about jesus?, “the watchtower” of april 1, 2010 discusses the subject: “who selected the canon?”.
the watch tower claims that professor oskar skarsaune and professor kenneth berding provide support for its contention that the list of christian greek scriptures was a product of some first-century christians who were endowed with “superhuman abilities”, and that the canon was not established in the second century..
does “the watchtower” tell the whole story on who selected the canon?.

I have spent several years in the university, studying History of Ideas and Science and I have learnt that “scholars” at least in the western world agree on one point. This is that a bishop from Alexandria had a mayor influence over what was to be considered as “canonic” letters. This bishop was Athanastasious, well known as the creator of the trinity dogma. This was after a big battle with the Arians, who couldn´t accept that God was three….
Athanstasious have left letters (still stored at the Vatican library) telling all the early congs. in Asia and Italy, which written material, that could be considered as “canonic” . You also must know that during this time there was a numerous different letters circling around in all those first established congs. In fact We have almost noting of the original letters so all of these later letters must be based pure on oral tradition (They are all based on transcriptions of translations of transcriptons …….!!!)
If you want to know more of the origin of the “canonic” scriptures I strongly recommend you to look up prof. Barth Ehrman on YouTube. You can listen to his lessons there and get much information only from that…..

What is the motivation behind the JW org?
by Half banana inthe gb has recently said that the brothers are generously contributing lots of money (at gunpoint it seems!
) so why with a billion dollar annual income do they demand more cash?
they have staunched the outward flow of money on paid preachers, zone overseers and bethel expenses and stalled the promised worldwide luxury buildings projects..
