The word faith is equal to fantasy. Meaning that your brain can make up any fantasy it likes. You could be a “Star war” captain, or Henry the 8th. You could be Jesus or Mohammed…. There is no need of proving anything just relax and dream away….

Faith and the Bible. Is it all Just An Illusion ? With no basis in the real world ?
by smiddy3 inthe bible states that :.
"faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for"...." the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld" heb.11:1. looking at the "true" history of the wtb&ts and not the sanitized version jehovah`s witnesses like to portray nowadays ,nothing the jw`s put faith in ,in over 103 years of their prophecy`s , expectations ,whether it related to the world powers , the king of the north or the king of the south ,the united nations (which they joined for 10 years ) as the disgusting thing that causes desolation, their now acceptance of things they accused christendom of doing such as using atm`s for donating funds,(they never solicit for money){ excuse me while i puke} .all of the failed prophecy`s of the the end/armageddon/great tribulation and the end of false religion babylon the great and the list goes on and on and on.. 1914 , 1919, 1925 ,1975 ,the year 2000 ,and of course since 1914 any day soon , just around the corner ,its imminent ,in our day ,it cant be any more than 5 years away .. 6000 years of human history ended in the late 18th century .
oops sorry ,6000 years of human history didn`t end till 1975 and that is a date that would be appropiate for jesus christ to start his 1000 year reign.. excuse me , faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for ?.

Dietary Quirks Among JWs
by millie210 ini recently had to accompany an older family member out of state to a family reunion.
it was a big reunion and not much was overtly made of the fact that i am "misguided" and not attending meetings (lost soul that i am) which was nice.
the thing i noticed that i was most struck by was all the dietary quirks in evidence during our 3 days together.

Your life cannot become more ”comfortable” by living with a lie. The “lie” will always gnaw in your mind and discomfort you and make you to brood. I am an atheist, and I have no hope in God or the Bible or in the GB. I simply don´t know in a life after death, and I admit it….. But of course when I die maybe, or not I will find out…??

I think you are on track to something that the GB never wants to talk about….The Watchtower INC. in Pennsylvania. I know that some years ago this was a very popular treed on this site and some of us tried to get some information about this org. and its connection to GB/Wallkill. At that time some of us did publish the names of the people in the board of this organization and if I remember right it looked like this:
- Don Alden Adams, director since 2000, president since 2000
- Danny L. Bland, director since 2000
- William F. Malenfant, director since 2000, vice-president since 2000
- Robert W. Wallen, director since 2000, vice-president since 2000
- Philip D. Wilcox, director since 2000
- John N. Wischuk, director since 2000
Many of us believed at the time that this organization in fact only was established to handle the many donations that came into society’s domain. Among them the Henrietta Riley’s trust found. Another thing of course is that some must handle (take care of) the enormous amount of money, that came from the selling of all the Brooklyn estates. And witch one can do it more profitable then un organization that registered as un unprofitable charity organization?

Yes....I was baptized 74. Very much in love with a girl who wouldn´t marry me unless I was a baptized brother. Knowing what the soc. said about 75 I thought that in a few years it would be obvious who was right and who was wrong. Unfortunately `?/ fortunately? We still loved each other and a lot of children were borne. I became an elder. And I know that it was all wrong. But how do you keep your family intact? You smile and accept knew privileges, and all admires your large family. Then you start to investigate seriously your doubt´s. This in spite of the recommendations from your Co and the GB, you start to attend University classes and finally understand that you have been cheated for almost 40 years. Even before that I was fading in the early of the 90. But know my wife is still in, alone, no one of our children believes in “the truth”…. My wife must feel very, very lonely. But we keep together, me not attending any meeting since 2000….

Smiddy and others
I think that even a ”banana” Kim, somewhat understands, that if he hits the button, and even remote come close to Guam, He and the rest of NK as well as SK…. Will finally face the end…. But of course neither, Hitler, Pol Pot or Mussolini and others did understand what they started…

"For God Loved the World so much that he gave his only Begotten Son in order that ....faith ..not destroyed ..everlasting life.
by smiddy inor is their an inconsistency / contradiction here somewhere .?
in genesis god allows satan after deceiving the first human pair to go relatively unpunished for thousands of years interacting between heaven and earth at will.. the so called punishment is not to take effect until thousands of years later.. in the meantime .. the wager ( ?
) between jehovah and satan over jobs loyalty in question ,and obviously satan still having communication with god in the heavens.

Smiddy!
It looks like if you are on the track to get the enlightenment on a subject that philosophers have been struggling with for 2000 years. We all grow up with the very core of Christian believes namely that Christ died to relieve us from our sins and give us eternal life.
How is it possible for a God to “forgive our sins”, when we just committed another one, namely Killed his own son and humiliated and spitted on him. What is the logic? It looks to me that this “Christian idea” actually is against all human etic logic and all for human understandably thoughts.
But religious ideas don’t have any logic reasons. They are just full of blah, blah, and blah. And if you start questioning, and try to straighten out the thoughts into a clear understandable line of axioms, you are from Satan, you will go to hell, and you are Godless atheists and you seduce the young like Socrates…. And some of them are tortured, burned on stakes or forced to take poison, because their ideas are dangerous…. So PLS keep your mouth shut, that is the safest way to stay alive

Where is the proof?
by stuckinarut2 inwe all know that the governing body claim to be "god's representatives" and the "faithful and discreet slave" that dispenses spiritual food..... but where is the proof?.
according to the bible (if we just for a moment take it as a reliable source), all of god's representatives in the past furnished proof of their appointment - not just self referential claims or statements.. for instance, moses and aaron performed miracles before pharaoh (such as the snake staffs.).
other prophets performed signs and miracles such as making the sun stand still, healing sick people, making walls fall down, etc etc.... even jesus performed miracles as proof of his divine appointment!.

Of course the GB cannot claim to be “Gods representatives”, they cannot show any miracle or any sign of having Gods approval… All the miracle that you are referring to in the Bible are actually “no miracles”…..They are just hear sayings that occurred, 100 s of years after the prophets had died. This to enslave or ensure the believers that their believe system is the only right. In 100 year you will probably hear fantastic stories (if JW,s still exists) on how members of the governing body took down the moon and really were astronauts, and how they directly talked to God…..

2017 Sunday RC Final Talk & Comments About 1975
by baldeagle inmany of us here have commented on the deceitful friday afternoon video shown at the 2017 rc that discussed 1975.. the video attempted to shift the blame onto congregation members for the fiasco saying, "some were looking to a certain date as signifying the end of this old system of things.".
this same video mentions how, “a few even went so far as selling their homes and quitting their jobs.”.
we all know that the wt leadership created this teaching and endorsed it right up to its abject failure.. now below is the concluding talk given on sunday at the rc.

I was baptized 1974. It was the top of the 1975 expectations. And no one in my cong, was expecting anything other than the great tribulation. I personally know some families that sold their houses and took their children out of school. They bought a caravan and drive up north to preach for those who hadn´t the opportunity to listen to the good news. They were regarded as truthfully “spiritual models” on how a true JW should act in times “like this”. I also recall CO/DC interviewing these “spiritual” models on assemblies, and encourage all others to follow theirs example. I wonder were those people are today?
