Can you solve this paradox?

you have a bow and arrow.

you shoot the arrow with the bow from point a to point b.. but the arrow will never reach point b, it's destination.

before the arrow can reach point b, it must first travel half way (let's call that point c).. but before the arrow can reach point c, it must first travel half way (let's call that point d).. but before the arrow can reach point d, it must first travel half way (let's call that point e).. do you see the problem?

Except for :

Distance in not infinitly divisible. The smallest unit of distance is "Planck's length" which is about 1.6 x 10e-35 meters. Anything less than that drops below the quantum threshhold. ( i.e. does not exist )

Which introduces even stranger behaviors.

when the elder asked for my husband's birthday for his records, he said nov 12 and the jw says "not my birthday, he wants yours".

my husband says, "it is mine".

many creationist leaning individuals seem to really misunderstand (or refuse to understand) transitional vertebrate fossils and how they are used in evolution theory.

As for manatees and the like. I always called seals "labrador retreivers on their way back to the ocean" in geological time. And that if you wanted to find trasitional forms, you should look in transitional enviroments, like a sea shore, desert edge, or mountain base, etc.

But if you look at the entire 3-4 billion+ year fossil record, you soon realize that ALL forms are transitional.

Online Music MP3 Purchase Services - which is best?

does anyone here use itunes, emusic, walmart.com etc?

i tried to use it and it was too confusing to actually get an mp3 from the free download or the pepsi free music download this summer - so i was not overly surprised when i registered, downloaded the software and still couldn't get the darn thing to work.

no support either when you call.. so back to the question - do you use a mp3 purchase service and do you recommend one?.

i told my parents i dont believe in god, i dont believe in all this mystical stuff it seems like magic to me.

i like science better, i believe in the big bang, and evolution.

my keeps asking for proof, he says he has the bible.

That is a perfectly reasoned point of view. And nobody has any business to try to dissuade you from it :)

As much as I can't stomach the creationists who feel it neccassary to push their "science" on people ( especially in the schools ), the scientists ( both real and pretend ) who literaly go out and try to "liberate" people from their beliefs are just as annoying.

"but maybe we did evolve from lower life forms into what we are today...."

150,000 years ago, we were all lawyers, politicians and used car salesman.
