i cannot stop thinking bad thoughts about my soon to be ex.

i know that these thoughts are not christ like or the way that other prophets have told us to be.

this seperation and divorce is the first time in my life that i have given in to dark, malevolent thoughts and intent towards another human.

You know let's take Christians. Most Christians are pro-life (anti-abortion) etc. They claim the fetus is a human life and they also claim that humans go to heaven or at least the innocent/good ones and the bad ones go to hell. So if that is all true then aren't we doing the fetus (ah human) a favor by sending them straight to heaven and removing them from the chance of going to hell? Is heaven eternal bliss? Then aren't we sending the fetus (baby/human) straight to eternal bliss? Can Christians explain this inconsistency to me?

As I see it here are the possible logical outcomes:

Innocence is not enough to qualify for heaven - so then did the fetus/baby go to hell?
OR We are interfering with the future free-will of the fetus/baby - if that's true what's the problem - again I ask did the baby/fetus go to heavenly bliss or to hell?
OR We just don't know and Christians are looking to condemn someone for something else?

I know this is probably a topic for another thread but I feel sorry for my kind friend Robdar for beating herself up over a logically flawed belief system so I just point to another obvious flaw.

You are too intelligent to be a Christian. Besides...Christians have committed THE most heinous acts in history...it is an oxymoron to equate Christianity with love.

please remove me from this site, i am tired of the sarcasm and the insults simply because i choose to believe in god after leaving the borg.

i am beginning to believe that the borg was a better place than this site because i never once endured what i have had to endure here with certain individuals.

it seems that it is ok for some to criticize others here but when you stand up for what you believe in the shit just gets deeper.

I don't hate Christians...I just believe they are misled and taken of advantage of by their own superstition and tradition. Now as for the leaders who do the "taking advantage of"....that's a whole different ballgame.

If they aren't pedophiles then they are mental abusers or thieves or mooches of the worst degree. I have yet to see one religious leader that is not a scumbag - in any religion.

the scriptures are some of the oldest books in the world known to man with dates included now how do you suppose that can be, that these books have survived this long, many thousands of years ?

hmmmmmm i don't see any other book on the shelf as long as this book not even any other history book as far as that goes, now i wonder why a book that supposedly is nothing more than a lie or uninspired as some of you put it would survive that long.

i wonder how christianity has lasted as long as it has if it is all just a lie.

christianity, in it's truest, fundamentalist form, promotes an unhealthy and non-productive victim mentality.

the christian feels helpless on his own -- condemned by sin and absolutely unworthy.

Just look at what you wrote...

Now ask: Is Christ God? If so why did he have to kill himself for you? If a regular human made up some game where he had to kill himself for you based on his own rules - would you think that person was smart?

If Christ is the one granting you the opportunity - then why can't he just grant it? Why expect me to be grateful when he was stupid enough to make up such a stupid system of justice in the first place?

It's like me saying to you: You can have $1 million. Now you go ahead and spit on me. So now I say: Well in order to give you the million bucks I will have to kill myself first. Does this sound sane?
