Supposing you had the ability to watch the inner core (thoughts, muscle tension, breathing patterns, internal sounds) of another person what do you think you would see? Well, the bad news is we can't see the inner core of others...but the good news is that just like we would watch the inner core of another person we can watch ourselves (some literature calls it "witnessing" - bad term for xJW's huh?) as an obeserver.

As described it is the most natural high we can have...go ahead...get high on yourself!!!

Thanks for a great topic. If anyone would like to read a book that describes in a story how to get to base consciousness I recommend "The Rich Man's Secret" by Ken Roberts (please note I do not endorse any of Ken Roberts financial books - even though I have read them).

At any rate James what you describe as "being" vs "identity" is very core to how I try to exist in my own life. It is home base. It is always the beginning to every journey in my life. It is a place I know I can come back to no matter what happens or where any particular journey may take me. While I am highly critical of belief systems the wholeness of being and existing at consciosness is what we could all agree on as spiritual and it is unquestionable for each of us even though some might try to abstract beyond and question "how do I know I am alive"?

I discovered "being" before I quit believing. At the time I was commuting large distances to consult to companies and I would find myself drifting off into dreams and fantasies and I started pretending that my consciousness was outside of myself sitting on my right shoulder and that my consciousness was observing myself in total. My consciousness would note every thought, every tense muscle, every reaction and I would neutralize every thought, tension, and reaction....and with that I discovered true peace existed within myself no matter where I was or what circumstance I found myself. It was at this point I read Robert's book and in it he advocated the exact same discovery process as I was following. Belief systems are flawed fatally because they leave room for betrayal of the believer, base consciousness has no such weakness because it offers no promises...it just offers a launching point for anything I want to do and it is non critical of either success or of failure no matter how extreme either outcome is for any journey I make. Knowing I have peace at base conciousness and that I can come back there instantly has given me an extreme amount of self confidence because at the end of the day no other person (no matter how much I love them or no matter how much they love me and no matter how much they might hate me) can affect base consciousness.

The beauty is that everyone has their own base consciousness and each of our base consciousness points is identical. There is no discrimination across the spectrum of consciousness and it is total equalization. While every step from there depends on our own talents and our own desires, determination, own circumstances we all share the same "ground zero". We just have to know that it exists, that it is peaceful and that it is always a point of return and the opportunity from there becomes limitless.

Hatred should be allowed and protected under the law. Violence should not.

Inciting someone to hatred is not a crime, it is an emotional shifting. If the person being incited commits violence then they need to bear the consequences of their crimes, but it is very not difficult to state the difference between soneone saying "I wish those muslims across the street were dead" vs "Go kill those muslims across the street" and that line is clear but will now become a case of "one and the same".

Why do the PC leftists discourage candor? When these religious whackos (include xian idiots too) use their religious holy books to spout condemnation on non believers they remain protected under "religious freedom".

The world has turned into a bunch of "protect the muslim" fairies. While Newbleak was publishing its story about the US flushing pieces of the Koran down the toilet (good place for all holy books IMO) and all the world was up in arms over this where have the protestors been when countries like Saudi Arabia have arrested people for the crime of "being Christian"? Where have the the nutty muslims that were killing people in protest over Newsbleak lies been? Oh yes they have been SILENT!!

Face it the world is better off without religion. Criticize it and obliterate it with free speech....it's the only way to get rid of Christian Crackpots, Muslim Morons and Whacko Witches!!! If I call for the obliteration of religion - is that hate speech? If it is tell yourself "Donkey hates me"....while I nod my head and look at you. No time for silly people!!!!

Will Britain ban the works of Richard Dawkins as hate speech now? Will they prevent publication of his new book (which really shoves religion in the eye)?

I cannot deal with the loneliness I feel.

I barely sleep any more and I am often awake at 3am.

I have an intense need to feel understood, wanted and loved. All I can do to cope right now is to submerge myself in activity - in my case it is work and I am currently working around 70 hours a week. Not having any time to dwell on what a miserable failure I am helps me mentally but I know my health will soon deteriorate and I will be left again with nothing but the loneliness. I just hope that when my health does give out that I pass quickly as I don't want to have time to think or to feel the pain, otherwise I will find a way to end it

most here know that the wt pulled 607 out of their "donkey" (aka ass).. but has anyone ever compiled a list of the issues that this presents to the jw faith?

if you tell a jw that 607 is incorrect the typical response is "so what?

"....but i started getting into it and stating then that 1914 is incorrect and then so must be the 1919 3/1/2 times mumbo etc.. does anyone have a list of issues?
