National Healthcare for the USA
by sammielee24 injust an fyi for anyone interested - there is a major drive on to push the bill forward for national healthcare in the usa.
you can sign the petition by going to http://www.onecarenow.org/.. it has gone through one part of the process last year and now the push is on to get it moved to the next level - it is backed by over 400 groups including the uaw i believe.
it is no longer if it happens, it is only a matter of time as to when it happens.

Well, it's apparent that SOMETHING has to be done and soon!!! It is absolutely ridiculous that the U.S. is unwilling or unable to pay for healthcare for it's own citizens!!! I'm at the point that I do agree that the government is going to have come up with a plan for the country. It's too expensive for the individuals and the doctors are complaining about their costs also. Almost all doctors are having to combine their practices just to make it worth their while...their chief complaint is the the liability insurance rates that have sky-rocketed, forcing many out of business or to look at other options.
Ask the next question please...why have insurance costs sky rocketed? Hint: The end answer begins with an "L"

It's always interesting how everyone tries to fix a symptom vs a root cause.
As long as we practice defensive medicine in the US (due to the threat of ever increasing malpractice) you can forget about brining down costs. Medicare and Social Security are in a funding hole. How can you expect to nationalize healthcare when we cant even afford nationalized healthcare for medicare recipients?
Fix the causes, measure the results and then possibly one might be able to look at a better solution which is more inclusive. I terminated all healthcare for all my employees - why? Because it was too expensive. Force it on us in the form of nationalized healthcare and watch unemployment double overnight - outsourcing will soar like never before. Someone has to pay for it. The problem is so many fools think the governments money isn't their money.

by dozy inare there any threads or web pages that give some feedback on the reaction to the downgrading of military alternative service from no-no to "conscience matter" in '96?
(i've read franz's comments on the change.
) if i had been in prison for 2 or 3 "prime" years on the back of a policy that then subsequently changed , i would have been furious.

Obviously the WT article had little effect in countries like USA & UK , but was the reaction from the R&F in countries like France where this had been a major issue?
I spent years in prison over this issue. We were to be NEUTRAL. Since finding out about the deception with the UN committed by the Little Whore (the Watctower Society) I am truly angry. The Watchtower by becoming the Little Whore has proven they are WORSE than Jimmy Swaggert who sought the services of a prostitute. Why? Swaggert asked for forgiveness over his philandering ways. The Watchtower Society just lies about it and deny it ever took place. Bin Laden's pilots hit the wrong buildings in New York!!

When oil was at $25 a barrel I first posted regarding peak oil.
This is no surprise to anyone who thought about. Everyone was given ample notice to prepare and to invest in this. I hope my words served you well and you all profited richly so far. There is more to come. Oil has to hit $150 a barrel - its imperative.

The growth of capitalism has spurred the world into an increasing consumption of oil. On the supply side ? we don?t have enough to sustain ourselves over time even if demand remains stagnant. Frankly, we are toast and have no chance to escape this impending disaster. I predict that while everyone focuses on Social Security and the other entitlement programs facing the US we will suddenly find ourselves in the way of the perfect storm ? Oil at near $75 a barrel. I will go out on a limb here and say this will occur within the next 24 months ? if not have at me guys.

The ruling states that they were being givien the work of employees vs the work of volunteers and therefore they are entitled to workers comp.
The next step is to continue the employee/employer relationship and have those bethelites leaving claim unemployment. Since the WTBS has never paid into unemployment they would be in a world of hurt from the state.
