i ran into my df'd, trying to get back into the dubs, uncle and my jw cousin the other day.

i was coming out of a movie theatre with my "worldly" girlfriend.

after a couple pleasantries we departed and they finished cleaning the theatre's windows .

never have i seen the society so unashamedly extend its hands in search of more money.

Why Did God Call ME Out of the Watchtower?

i was just thinking on this issue last night - why did god happen to guide me to a more accurate knowledge of the bible instead of the many other sincere people still in the congregation i used to associate.

what makes me so special as to warrant this blessing?

is a good education in bible doctrine the sole criterion for exiting the watchtower when there are many sincere ones who are not natural students who seem permanently trapped in the cycle of watchtower feeding.

Honest discussion from a standpoint of faith in God

I am not attacking YOU - I am questioning your ideas based upon what I read on the screen. Can you see the issue? Rather than say Honest Discussion should you more accurately say Sincere Dicussion?

I have no doubt of your sincerity and I also have no doubt you honestly believe what you write. But in order for what you write to be honest by itself it has to be true. Now eve you cannot say that faith in God equates to truth and expect us to accept this as an undisputed fact. Now I know you might feel I am picking on your words - and I would sincerely say I AM. Why? Because they show how a Christian (I used to be one) has the mindset that they are RIGHT. They believe very deeply that they are right - so self convincingly that they believe their beliefs are undisputed facts. Just like Muslims beieve their nbeliefs are undisputed facts and both are quire willing to die for their beliefs (I know I was).

I hope you can see what I am saying and don't just think I am an ass.

Besides lack of time, this thread is a good example of why you don't see me posting as much as I used to. This is quickly becoming a forum in which religion in general and Christianity in particular have no place, and only atheism and agnosticism are welcome. A person comes in and asks a faith-based question, and what happens? He gets 15 or so answers informing him that God is just a product of the human imagination,

All evidence you present would indicate that God is a figment of YOUR imagination.

Everything seems to point to God as being is a concept invented to control people.

As a JW did you love Jehovah or did you love God? Are they still one and the same to you? Do you still call him Jehovah? The reason I ask this: was the JW God a true God or a false God? Was he a figment of the imagination? If you still believe in him then can you prove that the JW's are wrong - perhaps God is just a little ambiguos (read artistic) vs precise?

If on the other hand you go back to zero and begin looking at all evidence and refusing to just believe stuff because it feels good then very few modern humans would ever conceive of God. What makes you believe in the "Christian God"? It has more to do with where you were born and raised than anything else - just as a sincere person born in Pakistan or Saudi Arabia is likely to believe in Allah as their God and take equal offense at being questioned by skeptics such as myself.

if you do not believe than please explain my photos as so many sciences have tried and failed.

this is not a trick and the transformations are real and this carved rock is of unknown form, very high density, harder than jadeite and has been dated to pre 17th century or older.

i'm so excited, when i lived in alaska, i used to hunt quite a bit.

but, the last time i went hunting, it was for kodiak grizzly bear.

i had never went after something so large before.

I despise hunting for sport - or the hunting of endangered species. If it is an animal that is not endangered and the animal is taken for food - I am OK with that.

Only a pussy hunts with a gun. How manly!!! Why not go hunt a grizzly with your bare hands.
