  The future of an assembly hall

  here in santiago of chile, we have a district convention hall, called "el trebol".

  its a very big place, and 10.000 people can be sat down in a comfort place for attending the talks and spending the time during the conventions.

  why am i talking about this?

  Meetings on sunday... do you know why?

  do you know why the wt congregations must have their weekend meetings preferably on sunday?

  there's a letter from the branch office in chile dated on 01-march-2002, page 3, point n 7 where we can find the reasons they have to prefer sunday for the meetings and not saturday, of course all depends on the quantity of congregations sharing the same kh.

  they say that as the co informs, when the congregation has the meeting on sunday there s better averages on the number of people at the kh and the time spended on the field service grow up.

  I was insulted!!!

  it's incredible.

  never in my life i had felt the humiliation to hear something offensive against of my person, and of course not in the place most "sacred".... the kh.

  yesterday, yesterday one of the brothers giving his talk at the meeting offended me saying i was a "son of a bitch".. what do you think of that?..

  Love builds happy families?

  hi friends.

  i was watching a message in the official web site of the wt, and it's something like a video for television about a little boy who could not sleep because he was afraid.

  he was painting two buildings and an aeroplane destroying them, i think like the september 11, 2001. the question is how many childrens can't sleep right now thinking on armaggedon as the ww (watchtower's witnesses) teach.

  About money at the chilean branch office of the WT

  hi dear friends.. as maybe you know, i'm an elder at one of the congregations in santiago of chile, and all the body of elders received a letter from the branch office saying that if the congregation has some money in a current account or so they would send it to the branch.

  in june 2003, a letter about the contributions (donations) said that the money coming from all the congregations every month were so little (few), and they were worried about what are the publishers doing with their money.

  this means that the chilean branch of the wt has some economical problems.

  when i was a teen i started to go to the kh, and one of the things that made me feel bad was to see how the publishers were teached at the service meeting how they must ask for money to the people on the "field" service.

  maybe you remember there was a "price list" for the literature, and all the publishers had a goal to get each month, i mean, the special pioners must "place" for example xx books and xx magazines, regular pioners x books and xx magazines.... etc.. of course i asked the jw who was going to my house for bible studies about this, and i remember he told me it wasn't a "commercial" work.

  i believed him, and a little time after i was selling books and magazines to the people.. now, we don't ask a contribution directly to the people, but the wt is always looking for money from the publishers, and here in chile there is a letter that the organization sent to all the elders asking why the congregations are sending too little money to the branch office.

  Reasoning book

  dear friends.

  do you know why the "reasoning" book was reprinted in 1989 after 4 years of published?

  because there were some problems with the editor of a greek-english lexicon, by liddell & scott.
