  at the corporate meeting david splane discusses the use and misuse of types/antitypes.. the main qualifier of a type is that an account must be represented in the scriptures as a. type of some future event.. he quoted schroeder who said if an account isnt explained in the scriptures as a type than you.

  shouldnt use the event as a type.. splane summed up his talk by saying if the bible is silent - we must be silent.. but they go right on celebrating the 100 years from 1914 which was determined by improperly.

  going beyond anything written in the bible about nebuchadnezzars tree dream.. the bible specifically refers to the immense tree as representing nebuchadnezzar.. daniel explained it and that should be the end of the matter.. .

  it appears that the gb knows that their teachings are ludicrous and indefensible.

  Meeting for not paying assembly fees???!!!!

  hey folks......has anyone else heard of, or experienced this before?.

  i visited by parents over the weekend and accompanied them to their assembly....same rubbish spoken about since ive been born....obey the gb, donate your last penny, no education and be a pushover.. anyways, our assembly hall has lush vegetation and scenery, so i was more focused on that....i started dozing off after lunch, so got up and went walking, saw some older folks from the congregation i grew up with.. upon the conclusion of the assembly, wed normally leave out right after the prayer ends so as to avoid the traffic.

  however, for this assembly he told me that hes gonna be a few minutes with the elders and branch representatives...so a few minutes turned into an hour..

  FTS, yeah, I also thought about the account of the money changers, but they were NOT his disciples.

  Jesus was allegedly quite direct with anyone that he thought was a hypocrite, but not with his disciples; at least according to the Bible. (Which, by the way, I don't personally believe.)

  No doubt some will wake up over this, but I doubt it will be the majority.

  Again, I hope I'm wrong about this and will be the first to admit it if I am. I just don't see it.

  Very few JWs know about the UN/NGO debacle and that got pretty broad press at the time.

  I've asked a few JWs about Candace Conti and the majority never even heard of her or the $27 million judgement against the WTBTS.

  Look how huge the Catholic church scandal was over their pedophile problem. How many Catholics left the religion over it? Not many.

  Kingdom Hall consolidations in the UK

  /from reliable sources (brothers in position within the congragation) i've been informed that in two different location within the uk congragations are to be consolidated .these men are loyal to the society and have no contact with ex-jw community .many brothers and sisters within these 4 congragations are devasted and undertantably very upset .one of these congragation has in excess of 150k in the bank currently "held" by the society as a loan .do you have any more information on this ?

  is this just a one off or a new trend ?.

  Dissolve and reform the congregation moving the members around, meanwhile the WTBTS takes over th funds in the bank accounts of the congregations that have been "dissolved."

  New congregations are formed and every thing starts from scratch.

  i'm preparing for my exit after 4 years of de-programming myself from the cult (much help from here..thank you) been fading for as long as i can to keep decades of family and friends, but the moment the "real truth" is arriving soon.. i desire to make an intelligent defense for my actions and of course will never get to first base using any resource material that will shut down the process by my blind brothers and family members.. i have collected some resources on my own, but would appreciate help in the following.. 1) child abuse.

  3) follow the money any public records of what the borg spends or invest our money on.
