  Is Watchtower's stance against education only for North American witnesses

  i was reading on a european ex jw forum where some feel that watchtower's railing against higher education is primarily for north america issue.

  this is due that many in usa and canada leave home to leave on campus.

  it was mentioned that many young european jw attend universities and its not frowned on.. i found this odd because i heard what morris and losch said about education in italy.

  The OP confuses how WT directives are interpreted and applied in different countries that have different cultures with a clear top-down mandate.

  Anthony Morris is a representative of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses. They assert that they are the leadership of the "visible part" of Jehovah's Organization on earth. They regularly talk about this being an "international brotherhood."

  What any GB member says is meant to be a directive for all JWs everywhere. Clearly, some JWs are more literal in obeying the "Faithful and Discreet Slave" than others. But this does not change what the GB intends.

  They want everyone to obey them, even if what they say doesn't make any sense.

  TTATTElder: there is no financial transparency at the world headquarters. There is no Accounts Report from New York.

  This was one of the first things that got me to begin "waking up" to the scam of this religion.

  Every month, each and every congregation gives and open and (supposedly honest) report of their accounts. And yet the World Headquarters NEVER, EVER reports their financial activities.

  Why is that?

  The answer is obvious: they don't want anyone to know what they are doing.

  The inference is equally damning: They are hypocrites of the highest order. They demand complete, unquestioning compliance of their underlings, yet they act as if they are completely above the law. Why? Because they are. They make "the laws" and it is clear from their actions that they do not believe these laws which they make apply to them.

  Let's review: It's a cult!

  Congregation that have sent in money!

  in the past week, i have heard from a number of friends scattered all over the place.

  a number of them are very upset over the congregation being required, to send in all monies over $4,000.

  a number of these were kh's that were saving to buy land, and or build new kh's.

  Question: If YOU were the leader of a fairly significant world religion, would your main message be?
  

  1. Don't wear tight pants
  2. Don't wear colored socks
  3. Don't wear spanx when you exercise in public (for women only), and

  I doubt it. Mine wouldn't, that's for damn sure.

  If I ever had the rapt attention of millions of people I'm sure I'd talk about something more important that that shit. I'd wanna' focus on developing important human qualities like: love, compassion, forgiveness and empathy. But that's just me.

  Evidently, all of the Governing Body members are delusional fools. If it weren't so sad that millions of people--including my own children (yes, I have a dog in this fight)--follow them, it would be completely laughable.

  Good Netflix shows to watch

  in the long winter nights you need some good tv shows to watch while you wait for the eternity between seasons of game of thrones.. we've watched marco polo (pretty good) and have just started watching orange is the new black which is not at all what i imagined (didn't know it was funny!).

  house of cards is on the list too as we've heard good things about that.. anyone have any others that are worth seeing?.
