First, whenever anyone in a leadership position in the organization says the word "soon" you know it's meaningless. They've been saying "soon" for over 100 years.
As for the rest of the statement, it's so obtuse it could mean anything, (assuming your mom even repeated it accurately).
That being said, this religion has changed so radically over the last few years that it's already a true statement. JWs are practically mainstream. If they drop the no-blood policy and end shunning they'd be practically indistinguishable from most other religions.
Let's review: It's a cult!

i have noticed something even long before even looking into ttatt, something about morris bothered me.

i am personally very attuned to body language, facial expressions and general subtleties in human interaction.

Display of National Flags in Kingdom Halls in Chile: WTS' Response

remember this and other threads a few months back, on the subject that some kingdom halls in chile acquiesced to govt rules that every building should display the national flag on the day of celebration?.

Legally, the producers of this video are required to have obtained a synchronization license for the music AND the particular master recording of it.
Failure to do so exposes them to a copyright infringement suit.
Pretty ironic considering how pugnaciously the WTBTS pursues even minor infringements of any of their copyrights.

What to do about wife and elders

it seams like every time i turn around i find out that the elders are trying to meet with one of my kids or are talking with them about things and of course my wife is instigating it.

if i say anything to my children she mentions something and they come running.

one of the ms's is also studying with them as well.

Definitely assert your authority as the spiritual head.
Tell the elders in no uncertain terms that they are NOT to meet with your wife or any other family members without you present and/or your express permission, which at this time you are NOT giving.
You gotta' have boundaries.

Hi Julia,
Moving on is important, but being a JW will always be a part of who you are now.
Personally, I wouldn't DA because that's still playing by their rules. But that's just me. Many here have and said that gave them closure.
That being said, I really do believe that seeing a counselor is a great idea. It helped me. It is hard to find one familiar with ex-cult members, but if they're really good at helping people they can still help you. I worked with one for about a year. I gave him Steven Hassan's book to read (I recommend Releasing the Bonds) and that helped him to help me.
