'no one has greater love than this, that someone would lay down his life for his friends.'.

For some select few: Yes, absolutely yes.
For a few others: Maybe, it would probably depend on the situation.
For most: No fucking way!

They're in a cult under mind-control.
Searcher and cookie master nailed it.
there's a current court case in ny which is hearing that question right now.
the precise issue is the continued captivity of two chimpanzees, (leo and hercules, names bestowed by humans) in a medical research laboratory at stony brook university.. i suggest that the application has some merit.
are not all of us "animals?
They are a separate, distinct species.
This does not in any way suggest that we, as humans, shouldn't seriously reconsider our treatment of animals in general and certain other species in particular. But chimpanzees can never be "people" because they aren't.
Words have meaning and changing the definition to fit our personal "beliefs" or "worldview" or "fantasy-of-how-life/the universe/and everything should be" does not change reality.
It just doesn't.
We can all hug and sing "Kumbaya" but the world is still a messy place where there are snakes in the grass and lions eat antelopes.
i need to change congregation but stay living in the same place.

so last night they played the convention cartoon.
there were a few laughs from the audience, overall though people seemed a little taken aback and tight lipped.
like no one gushed about it afterwards, no applause, just like it was nothing new at all.
I just talked to a local JW and they said it wasn't shown in their hall.
Is this only being shown just before a DC?
i am new to this forum - it is only a couple of weeks since i have allowed myself to acknowledge and research my doubts.
i am trying to be fair by reading both sides of the story and considering jw official explanation of confusing matters.
one of the issues i have been looking at is shunning - and i was shocked to see the misleading information about shunning on the jw.org website: .
Vidiot: ... if you have to cheat to defend your beliefs, your beliefs don't deserve to be defended. I actually want to get this tattooed somewhere.
How about on the forehead of each member of the GB!
arg... okay, i've been trying to do this on my phone and it's been giving me fits.
here is what i had attempted to post.. i'm at work, night shift, and nothing is going on.
i thought a comic strip would be an amusing way of telling my story to people outside of this community.. it's a rough draft, i'm open to feedback.
Don't put the dialogue bubbles over the characters. It makes them hard to read. Notice how they are placed in published comics.
That being said, if you're trying to do satire on JWs, your dialogue isn't very realistic. A JW mom wouldn't tell her daughter to "flirt" or "snuggle" with anyone, even another JW.
