this was the first constituent part of the atom which, for 2,000 years, was thought to be indivisible.
today, we know of 18 elemental particles following the recent discovery of the higgs boson, the so-called god particle.. back in 1897, most people believed in god because there weren't even any theories as to how the universe came into being.

Nietzsche wasn't talking about the literal death of a real being. Here is an interesting commentary from the Philosophy Index about this famous phrase:
Friedrich Nietzsche writes his famous declaration, God is dead several times throughout his works.
The meaning of the phrase is often misunderstood — many have interpereted that Nietzsche believed in a literal death or end of God. Instead, the line points to the western world’s reliance on religion as a moral compass and source of meaning. As he explains in The Gay Science (Section 125, The Madman):
God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it?

by thedepressedsoul ini guess the branch isn't happy with the amount being sent each month since we are way lower than our loan amount.
we now have to another financial survey to see the max amount that can be given.
it is "encouraged" for all to be in attendance and give much forethought and consideration to the amount you can donate each month.

Doltologist: Science is the search for the truth
I wouldn't put it that way. Science is fundamentally a human philosophical endeavor to seek knowledge, to find explanations and to understand things as they really are rather than how we may think they are.
Science differs from religion in that science seeks to discover knowledge as opposed to claiming that it comes from some sort of supernatural revelation.
Also, what scientists discover is to be shared with all, whereas religious leaders try to assert claims of exclusivity, primarily to seize control and power over others.
