Ruby456: skepticism about everything is a great quality to have
I doubt that.
i've met a few.
i'm not talking about the jw who, whether df'd or not, falls off the radar and just gets on with living a normal life - good luck to them and may there be many more!.
i mean the former jehovah's witness who is now enjoying all the benefits of a cult free life thanks to the efforts of many bloggers, posters and activists, but is critical of the efforts of someone close them to free more jws.

so after being deleted because of my comment on her instagram post by my sister-in-law i got a text from her stating she didn't want a debate on instagram and the scripture i posted would not apply to satan, they are worried about me, go see elders, return to jehovah, or else you won't get life, etc etc.... i'm ready to respond with the following reply:.
so....hit send?
make changes?
L2NM: did you just notice that Geoffrey Jackson just admitted to the world that Jehovah is not really gods name?
What's up with that? When did this happen?
BTW, I agree with what everyone else said. If you're gonna say anything, keep is short and sweet or just delete:
Truth will always stand up to scrutiny if it indeed is truth.
it never failed, when someone got disfellowshipped or left the organization, their life became shambles.
if married, a divorce ensued.
if the person had a great job, the company would lay-off or close.
Living well is the best revenge.
When you say she doesn't know TTATT, I would have to disagree. She might not know that term and all of the doctrinal problems with this religion, but she certainly knew that she didn't want to be part of it simply because of the way she was mistreated.
That's enough.
Good for her.
jacksonville, fl - the local newspaper had an article on the convention going on for the next two weekends.
while i could not find the article, i was able to find this slide show of this weekend's events.
the newspaper article was interesting as it discussed what a wonderful job they were doing cleaning the arena seats and bathrooms and everyone was enjoying their job.

Jehovah, the god of the happy janitors.

Terry, thanks for sharing.
Do you know who edited these books? I just finished reading "How we found out about ATOMS."
Overall, it was a nice review of the history of atomic theory. But I was really surprised he didn't even mention Dmitri Mendeleev, the Russian chemist that worked out the Periodic table. Also notably missing was the work of J. J. Thomson and his discovery of the electron and Ernest Rutherford's Gold Foil Experiment. He really glossed over the late 1800s - early 1900's.
Also, there were a lot of typographical errors.
It's be nice if there was a cleaner, typo-free copy for educational purposes.

was it designed?
the inverted retina.
so i've been noticing recently that some khs in the area where i live (socal) are putting up the jw.org little blue dot, but others are not.
i would think this would be a mandatory directive from hq.
does anyone here have any intel on the matter?.
"don't you believe that this is god's spirit-directed organization?".
"do you believe that god is teaching us through the faithful & discreet slave?
"who else has the truth?
coalize: Without consequence? I'm not sure!
What possible consequence could there be for answer "no" to that question?
Only an idiot would say "yes" to it. They've changed their teachings so many times no one can keep track of all of the doctrinal changes, and quite of few have tried.

Searcher, the problem which you miss is that these questions are not equivalent.

The second is about doctrinal inerrancy and the first is about loyalty.
A JW can answer "no" to the second question without consequence, but not the first.
