perhaps it was "love at first sight", but then you get to know him/her more intimately and realize your goals and amitions couldn't be further apart.

not that he/she isn't a good person ... just not right for you.

the physical attraction is real, but issues that are important to you pale into insignificance in his/her mind.

I Talked To A JW Yesterday About "The Truth"

he sat next to me while i was having lunch.

he smalltalked and then asked, "sooo doya think you'll ever come back to the truth?

my response, with a laugh was "nope".. i then remarked that there are a lot of "good" people that are witnesses and then asked him, do you think you'd ever leave the organization?

but since there was nothing "better" that he could find yet, he'd stay where he was.

That sounds like a person gambling with the same numbers all the time, hoping his combination will one day be the lucky one.

so i was at the gym today(as always) speaking to the super moms(lol).

they were all talking about nutrition and the value of a sensible diet.

then they asked me what i consume daily, as i was going to give them thee ideal lie of what i "should" eat hence the word "eat" - i said this: my daily food groups include: coffee cigarettes, vodka and the morning after pill.. silence among the mini van driving crowd.. then i laughed and walked away fully knowing i will not be getting an invite to their next tupperware party - oh darn it all to heck.. people need to lighten up and take a joke, i still think it was funny!.

"Ring" or "Knock" ? --- "Once" or "twice" ?

in the field service, i never rang the door bell.

i would knock all the time, because a person could be working midnight to eight and i could wake them up.

ok, the real reason was that i didn't want them to answer the door.. and i would knock like this: "knock knock knock".......then i'd wait about 30 seconds and then another "knock knock knock" but not any harder...and i'd walk away with contentment.
