  Be aware folks that all these wonderful posts and comments will remain here in this forum for at least the next 20 years at the time Simon's failing eyesight and ever increasing weariness will diminish his moderating and pruning ability .. at which point they will serve to provide great entertainment for the future ex-dubs that gravitate here and maybe will think twice before asking for relationship advice. Just a thought..

  the majority of members who tend to join this forum have been hurt possibly even traumatized sometimes to the point of wanting to end their lives.

  upon joining the forum, new members are welcomed with open arms, welcome messages start pouring in, "likes" are freely given, a false sense of security is promoted where a member is free to speak his mind without having to worry about the wt gestapo.

  again, similar to how potential converts are welcomed and "love bombed" upon entering a kh for the first time.

  this is a rant mainly in response to my wife's reaction to the stupid clam meeting last night.

  bear in mind, while i am not sexist, i am also not politically correct.

  .... it is no secret that the women in this organization outnumber the men.

  Ex JW's - Which Christian denomination are you with now and why?

  this is a question for ex jw's who have joined another christian faith group.

  the purpose of my question iis to find out which christian faith group you chose after leaving watchtower and what convinced you to travel this new spiritual path you are on.

  i am interested to know because i personally would like to find a genuine faith group where i can feel true christian liberty as i initially thought i had with the witnesses.

  I spent a good number of years investigating and exploring most if not all of the major and not so major biblical based religious denominations.. and found neither God or Jesus is any of them.

  Yeah I get that.. but my point was that often people expect to be spoon fed everything on a platter and have all their research done for them.

  How do you tell your spouse you no longer believe in God?

  so i was hoping to get some insight on this subject of telling your spouse that you no longer believe in god.

  for two people who have been jehovahs witnesses for 20 years together, talking about this seems to be real hard for me.

  i still pray with my wife before meals but that's about it.

  It doesn't look like the Barnevernet has ever heard of the Org's Paedophile Protection Scheme, aka "the two witness rule" or "not bringing Jehovah's name into disrepute."
  Perhaps J.W.'s in Norway will now have other reasons to fear for their children!

  Maybe we should write to them.

  But then again they have a pretty bad reputation themselves..

  i read this blog post by a person i have no idea if she is still a jw or not, but it made me think and gain some new perspective on using the divine name.

  please read it if you can, it will change your view!

  and it totally devalidates the jw dogma that they are the only ones using god's name, no, they are actually orphans.

  For me the "aha" of the article was that in the new testament, God's name does not appear anymore, because in it, God reveals Himself in a new role - the role of a Father.

  Not much of a father either eh?

  What a waste of time..
