We Live in a Fractal???

i was thinking lately about the manderbrolt fractal and other fractals as well.

and how every design of nature is able to be reproduced by fractals.

these pictures of the manderbrolt set,, display a remarkable scale that makes you "feel depth",,, with things getting bigger or smaller.

Makes a lot of sense. Had a few synchronistic events over the last few weeks. The idea of order from chaos is a very ancient idea found in most of the older religions.

It would also explain how the supposidly random event of evolution worked, order from chaos, almost guided evolution.

Perhaps when we get closer to understanding this we can gain the understanding that the chaotic order of creation is in fact god.

It will also help us to understand why when we fight chaos when things are not working our way life becomes such a struggle, whereas when we go with the flow even if we have to endure temporary discomfort we get where we are going faster.

This is what is taught by many pagan systems including the Northern European system which is my favourite.

Did this couple ever exist?

hi - this is my first post!.

i have a question that i have needed answering for over 20 years now.. is a story true, that i beleived was true and happily passed on as fact even though i had no evidence.. it went like this:.

an interested female was studying in america (a long way from britain)!.

apostate inaccuracies

granted i havent been to the kh in years.

but when i did several talks dealt with how apostates lie about the wtbs, the apostates make up stuff and attribute the quotes to wtbs.

apostates all have evil intentions of taking god away from you.

I had the same experience.

I had been conditioned to suspect all apostate material as being lies to the point that even after about 3-4 years out I still feared looking at them.

I was initially put off by what I termed 'Hate Sites' by people that obviously had a grudge and wheeled out the same old stuff about the miracle wheat and trying to prove the trinity, John 1:1 etc... heard it all before.

Then I came across sites such as this one and Randy's site and found some very well researched material and well written life experiences. I believe that as we are accused of producing lies, we have an added responsibility to ensure that all JW related stuff we post is well researched and balanced. A newly interested person <g> may be put off by something that has innaccuracies as this would only reenforce the message that it is all lies.

From these sites and some of the books I have read I am now convinced that:-

- The WTS is just another religion
- They are not inspired or guided by God, proof being their handling of child abuse issues.
- There are massive flaws in their chronology (1914) and have clearly cooked the chronological books
- Rutherford took control of and used for his own ends the WT and was not the spiritual brother we were led to believe
- The whole thing has become a Totalitarian Theocracy of a scale not seen since Stalin
- Their massive prophetic failures and doctrinal knots result in their constantly shoring up their doctrine
- The internet will make these truths evident to more and more people and is having an impact.

Unwritten prophecies of JWs,

all of us could document the written false prophecies of the wtower, 1799, 1874, 1914 -15-18-19-1935-75.by 2000....etc but how about the unwritten ones?

can you document any?.

Following this there was the implication of the birds multiplying in unusual numbers, which hinted that they were being gathered for armaggedon...

I remember this one, it passed down through the gossip mill. Suddenly we all started seeing birds.

My theory for this was:-

The number of birds (black carrion birds in the UK) was directly proportional to the amount of roadkill on the roads, which in turn was directly proprtional to the volume of traffic on Britains roads.

Watchtower Computer Engineering Research Lab

does anyone know anything about the watchtower's computer engineering research lab?.

there was one once, when they designed and built their own system for composing and formatting text.. where was it?

how many people staffed the facility?.

I remember my Grandmother was quite disturbed by the whole thing.

She felt that the Society getting involved with computers (machines that think) was tountamount to getting involved in the Occult and that Satan would influence & posses the Machines.

Then again her grasp of technology was limited. When she used to use the Gramaphone records with diatribes from 'Da Judge' the story goes that she set the thing up at a householders door and placed the stylus in the middle of the record and stood there patiently waiting in silence.

it is primarily designed for young jehovah?s witnesses; in fact, the whole dvd is geared towards witness youth only.. .

on the front cover there are 8 happy youths carrying school books and bags.

While they were discussing how JW youths can make their ministry more meaningful, the narrator says, ?For instance, would you be able to explain how Jehovah?s Witnesses come up with the date 1914 to explain how Jesus came to Kingdom Rule??
Later on, the witness youth is seen conducting a Bible study, and there he is explaining 1914.

Thanks god for that !!!

I have a teenage son who is being brought up by his witness mother (and Grandmother interferes whenever she can) the parrallel is uncanny. I am sure he will have been indoctrinated with this video.

HOWEVER, he has a keen interest in Archeology and has already worked out the flaws in the 1914 doctrine, so any attempt to teach him to recite that doctrine will be a massive home goal by the WTS...

Way to go WTS!!!!

it's called in the truth, and it's about a brother and sister who rebel against the harshness of their witness upbringing and set out in the world to find the meaning of life and to rejoin their father, who works in a marine reserve in florida along with an indian sidekick.

on sunday i worked from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm pulling seven drops with four cables each to the different areas around my new house.. every room will have at least one panel that has four cables: cat6 network, cat6 phone, rg6 satellite (tv) and rg6 cable (tv).

i added two extra rg6 cables to the panel in the family room media niche so that the tv will have access to an additional satellite connection (for a dual receiver satellite system) and an antenna that i will put in the attic.

the cat6 is capable of gigabit speeds that are twice as fast as cat5e.

Impressed.... !!! I recently did similar in my house but on a much smaller scale, I am using wireless for a lot of it. I remember pulling large mainframe cables through a riased floor in computer rooms some years ago, they are inflexible heavy snakes.

I shall shortly be recabling my recording studio, I need to create some order to the place. I will put some 8 channel multicore to three wall boxes that will take XLR & Jack audio signals, headphone monitoring and Midi cables out to various corners of the studio and terminate this in a patch panel that will hopefully mean I will not have to rewire the desk each time I have a new recording project.

An experiment in self-empowerment - Any Volunteers?

i need volunteers for this experiment, but i'll explain what it's about first....you'll find it's gonna be easier for some than others.

this is about the power of sound and the power of written and/or spoken words and their affect on our environment.

within the last 30 years an instrument called an eidophone was discovered.

Interesting. Your experiment would be essentially focusing on positive words at a given time each day and noting how this affects us personally.

OK, count me in, I have been feeling down for some reason of late, nothing major just generally so that is my starting position.

As for the patterns with the drum. Does this work in other languages? Could it be that in English most negative words are more gutteral which would be more discordant. Whilst more positive words more harmonic. Perhaps its the inflection in the voice that adds the harmonies.

As a sound engineer the most likely explaination is that a harmonic will resonate with the natural harmonics of the drum creating nodes that create the patterns described. A dischord would set up chaotic constructive and destructive interference patterns.
