Welcome Grags.
I think they are separate events.

hi my name is graham (but i much prefer to be called grags), i'm a 38 year old married man from the uk and have been studying with the witnesses for about 3 months.
i do a study every saturday and love every minute.
in john 6: 16-24 jesus's disciples get onto a boat without jesus and set off.
Welcome Grags.

there is a certain elder in my wives hall that has seemed to developed a real interest her.
first he seemed to feel a need to make sure all her blood cards were signed before she gave birth to our child.. he sends her text messages if she misses a meeting saying how much " we missed you last night ".
he finally sent her a text wondering where her oct hours were , knowing she had some pretty serious tears from child birth and could hardly even walk, much less do field service ".
I'd be very suspicious of any man who is tip toeing around my wife behind my back. If it makes you feel uncomfortable then he needs to know and stop.
However, if you plan to talk to this man, I wouldn't do it without my wife's knowledge. Let her know that you do not intent on making this a big issue or causing disruptions. He just needs to stop. If he wants to encourage her he should do it publicly at the hall. And by that I mean no backroom shenanigans.
You have every right to tell this guy to back off. And make certain they (other elders) understand that it shouldn't have any negative effects on your wife. If you see she is being treated differently, involve the CO.
Good luck
that is what the speaker said in his public talk this morning.
so many serious topics lately ... so for anyone who wants a break, it's trivia time and the subject is pop music.. which act is the only one to have a top 100 hit both before, during and after the beatles had theirs?.
no googling.
if you guess, you also need to add a trivia question for others to answer..
those of you who read my last post, about two weeks ago, know i'm in a dilemma.
i did not run like some posts suggested.
i truly believe i found my soulmate.
The only way a JW can divorce is if their partner has committed adultery. For JWs, it's called scriptural divorce. You cannot ask for a divorce if you're the guilty party. She can divorce in a court of law but the JW won't recognize it.
You mention she is being shunned. Has she been disfellowshipped? If not, I doubt she is being shunned.
It takes years if not decades to break free of the JW's cult mind control. Get ready for the roller coaster ride and the mind games. Even if she leaves to be with you, the guilt will continue and she will be continuously torn inside. JWs believe the end is just around the corner and if she's not a witness when that comes she's dead meat. It takes years to get rid of that mindset and it's very strong. You have no idea the fear it creates. There's always going to be that back and forth between her trying to be saved and destruction. She might be able to push it in the back of her mind for some periods but the guilt and fear eventually come back. If she leaves, get her into therapy ASAP.
I've done some crazy things because of love, so I can empathize with you. Good luck.
Oh, and one more thing. JWs are trained to be very good liars so watch yourself.
we are madly in love with each other and she is in the process of being divorced.
let me make one thing clear i'm not the reason for the divorce.
she attempted to reconcile with him but to no avail.
Love sure is blind.
today during the public talk the speaker said that satan was behind the new modern phones, which are like mini computers, so that the world would have easy access to pornography..
when somebody posted this on fb, i was anxious to see how ridiculous it would be, probably worse then the gb prophecies, etc.
after watching the clip, i honestly don't know what to believe.
at the very least it's very entertaining and interesting.
Well we only have a few days left before Oct 21, 2015 (date Marty goes to the future). You'll find out if any of this was a prediction from the illuminati. The big question, "Will the cubbies win the world series?". Now that would be one hell of a coincidence. The Cubs haven't won since 1908.
Anyway, where's my flying car?
cult flakes?.
.
