I lived in Columbia between 1986-1999. I attended the Riverside, Elgin, Northeast, and Blythewood congregations. I didn't know everyone in Columbia except the people in my congregations, so if you know anyone from those congregations, we can email each other!

A relative of mine, who was baptised, had sex with another baptised person, and when questioned about it to the elders, she readily admitted to it, and was disfellowshipped. However, since the young man denied it, and basically called her a liar, he was not disfellowshipped. She was punished for something that, according to the boy, didn't happen. How can the elders believe one story, but not another? BTW, she was around 17 while he was 25.
