I waited and waited for someone to mention something to clue me in, but alas finally I must reveal my "ignoramusness" and ask:
What is a slave bat??????

i have framed some odd things in my career.
i didn't mind framing a penthouse spread.
i did mind framing a "slave bat".
I waited and waited for someone to mention something to clue me in, but alas finally I must reveal my "ignoramusness" and ask:
What is a slave bat??????

i have been dating this woman for two months.
i somehow agreed to being monogamus with her....the details aren't important..but here i am stuck in a relationship that daily grows more unbearable.
i have been trying to get the nerve to end it for the last 6 weeks...lol well it's true.
Fake your own death, then move to Bolivia.
tink and i just came back from a weekend in the town we lived in where we got da'ed.
we were getting ready to leave for home yesterday afternoon and her younger brother (not a jw) called to talk to tink with some "news" he heard.
he found out that the elder who spearheaded our ordeal with the jdc during our inquisition, has been having an affair with a sister in the cong we used to attend, for the past two years.
Hi CC,
Are you talking about THIS Tink at the bottom of this thread?

one of the big issues affecting ex-jws is being shunned by their close relatives.
this can be especially painful for parents, children or siblings.
the jw relative may even make some exceptions to associate in the name of "necessary" business, but then later on their conscience "pricks" them, and they realize that they have pushed the envelope too much and they withdraw their association altogether ... or ... the society comes out with some article or the co comes to town, and manage to ding on some issue that make jws feel guilty about associating with df'd and da'd relatives.
RF:
Pretty sure this is referring to the "wrong course" taken by the disfellowshiped one.

jw's can be rotten, but what about the "brutally honest" jw strangers at assemblies?
i have had some issues with the general meaness jw's are to people that they do not even know, and are jw's.. example 1: i was maybe 13 years old and i was a fast developer, i had big boobs basically.
well a dress i had was really nice...my parents would not have let me wear something that was not apprepriate for me, but i guess the dress was low (i didn't think so) and when i was in the bathroom at the assembly at the mirror, a woman just came up to me and was like "you are showing all the assets you have to offer" or something to that effect.
Not particularly mean, but humorous to me nonetheless:
The District Convention that we attended this year was held in an auditorium that is rather old and run down and soon to be demolished. The seats are cramped, the corridors narrow, the aisles even narrower.
At intermission a veritable horde was jammed up and slowly making it's way through the bottleneck. Someone said rather loudly, "Boy, this place is really crowded!"
A man (brother?) who was nicely dressed just like a dub, clean cut, wearing a badge (looked like he could be an elder) said just as loudly, "Well, it wouldn't be so bad if all these f*****g people would get out of the way!"
Interestingly, there was a ripple of laughter through the crowd. Cracked me up!

do children need ritual in their lives?
hmmmm, so most say "yes".
Six says "no".
Anyone agree with Six?
Ecclesiastes 12:12
wow.
my father was also 56 when i was born.
letterman's been letterman for so long now, it's hard to imagine him as a dad.. letterman to become a dad.
I thought he was gay too. Who knows? Maybe he was/is?
i took this off of xjw_b12's thread.
(hope you don't mind).
"when considering whether to include a pinata at a social gathering, christians should be sensitive to the consciences of others.
It doesn't appear to me that this article or the sentence in question is talking about anything other than pinatas.
"The practise" is referring to pinatas and not giving carte blanche to "the practise" of other activities with pagan origins.
So it seems to me....
