NYsweet16, have you gone back to school yet?
I'm wishing you luck with everything!
Please give us an update!
okay, i don't even know where to start.
i'm 16, i live in a strict jw household and i know if i am pregnant (which is a big possibility) ..i know i'm doomed to a life of misery.
not because of my baby but because of my family and the isolation and judgement from the congregation.

the past week has been hell for me.
my mother started feeling ill and we went to seek medical assistance.
we live in the mountains and the nearest large hospital is about 150 kms away.
i believe anyone who has voluntarily left a cult has shown they can adapt to new solutions, and have used " critical thinking" skills otherwise most would not have left.. yet i believe a safe place for support is still needed and this safe place i believe is searched for.. now i may not measure up to much in ways of education, but for me personally " critical thinking skills" = " new" a " new" way of thinking, that takes time for me the individual to be visual and to contemplate.
and the more i read about " critical thinking," the more convinced i am that i can live with the ridicule of those that claim i do not possess it.
furthermore i would say those that criticise others " critical thinking skills," often luck the sensibility and thoughts to snore, spit, and fart....nor would they understand a room full of tobacco smoke and cheap booze...where " critical thinking " can often be found in its most profound, in the most sensitive poems and "pictures" that were ever drawn.
Wait, I honestly don't understand the OP.
Is snoring, spitting and farting a good thing or a bad thing?
And are they evidence or lack of evidence for critical thinking on behalf of the snorer, spitter or farter?!?
...because I'm pretty sure I snore every night...
this is a nice list of evolutionary scientists and their quotes regarding the impossibility of naturalism or materialism being able to account for life as it is observed :.
evolutionists against darwinism.
most, while sympathetic and respectful of their more committed colleagues, are disparaged as morons for not carrying the materialism banner as a religion, as a matter of faith.
anyone in the usa following this morning's shooting "on-air" live tv will know what i'm talking about.
bryce williams (not real name, but on-air name) shot and killed 2 people on live television this morning in roanoke, va. he was wearing a go-pro camera, and uploaded his first-person video onto his social media accounts.
i've seen his twitter feed (before it was taken down), and not very far down he mentions being raised a jw.
The problem of adequate mental health resources is compounded by the stigma of mental illness.
Some people fear for their jobs if it is found out they have a mental health diagnosis.
This leads to people who are leary to access care even if they know they would benefit from it.
i'm still trying to catch up on the rc broadcast posted to youtube, and i haven't been able to keep up with everything discussed here about it.
however, there have been a few points that i wish i could submit.
repeatedly it has been stated that unless there is a confession, jcs can only act on testimony if it is corroborated by two or more witnesses to the wrongdoing.
Yeah, Vidiot, they got it wrong either way!
For all intensive purposes, they suck at spelling and grammar!
Let's consider this separately, and then touch basis next week!

First of all, the acute crisis is that you don't know whether or not you are pregnant.
Find $10, go to a drugstore, buy a pregnancy test and take it immediately. Or get your boyfriend or anyone else you trust to buy it for you.
Then, you just pee on the test and wait a few minutes to see the result. If you need privacy to do this at home, take the test before your shower and the result should be ready by the time you're finished.
Then hide it in your room. Maybe wrap it in a plastic grocery bag and dispose of it away from home.
Then you know exactly what you are dealing with.
If it is positive, I recommend going directly to your school counselor.

i came across this story in the washington post.
it's nice to see they are covering the royal commission.
i have a kindle, everyone who buys one gets free six month subscription (it automatically downloads twice a day) to the post , so i imagine this will get read by a lot of people.
Yes, somebody, I forget who, posted this the other day.
It's good to get exposure in major US newspapers.
Love the quote that their procedures are "bizarre" and "medieval!"
about two months ago two very attractive ladies in their mid 30's signed on at one of the gyms i belong to.
for a while i noticed them watching me and naturally i assumed they were taking an interest in how i went about training my clients since many do before they decide to approach me and inquire about my services (i own a health and fitness consultancy).. sure enough one of them approached me a few weeks back and asked me for a business card, inquired about rates and various other aspects involved with signing on with me.
i handed her a card and explained that my client schedule was full but she should consider signing on with one of my personal trainers who still had some open spots available.
And, yes, we don't really pride ourselves on individualism up north.
We tend to value cooperation and collective action more.
I really value traveling where I can see a place close up and get a good feel for it.
