If she doesn't comply an orange jumpsuit is in her future
by DJS inscotus: kentucky clerk must issue same-sex marriage licenses.
by ariane de vogue, cnn supreme court reporter.
updated 8:02 pm et, mon august 31, 2015. let's hope this is the final screech from the haters who wrap themselves in the bible - or their egoist political philosophy i doubt it will be, but let's hope..

She is refusing to issue ALL marriage licences, even heterosexual ones!
Can she claim religious conscientious objection to issuing heterosexual marriage licenses? She's never had a problem with that before!
I don't think she's thought this through very well.

The name Emma just topped the list of most popular baby names in the US this year.
I think it's a lovely name.
My heart dropped when I learned you've lost her. As a mother, that breaks my heart.
Would you mind telling us about her? What things did she like? Where was her favorite place? What color was her favorite?
If not, please ignore my request and forgive my ignorance.

I almost gave up today except for a girl her tried to throw herself infront of two cars.............
by umbertoecho inthis may sound insane but i literally have blood on my hands as i have just come home from a counselling session that went wrong...i wanted to collate all that has happened and record it...hospital policy is against it.
i said "what am i alive for then if not to tell the truth" she tut tutted and i walked out sadly in despair.. when i got to the ground floor there was a young girl screaming her head off.
she was afraid, that is all she was...........afraid.

You and I have a similar name. It's a beautiful name.
I just saw my mental health care professional today and, fortunately, I am doing well.
That is not always true, though. I know what it's like to feel on edge and vulnerable and to not be sure how I'm going to go on.
I just do. I don't know how or have any advice to give. I just want to tell you that you are not alone.
I will hold our name in my heart tonight.

WHEN people leave a cult...MAN landed on the moon? Or critical thinking......
by The Rebel ini believe anyone who has voluntarily left a cult has shown they can adapt to new solutions, and have used " critical thinking" skills otherwise most would not have left.. yet i believe a safe place for support is still needed and this safe place i believe is searched for.. now i may not measure up to much in ways of education, but for me personally " critical thinking skills" = " new" a " new" way of thinking, that takes time for me the individual to be visual and to contemplate.
and the more i read about " critical thinking," the more convinced i am that i can live with the ridicule of those that claim i do not possess it.
furthermore i would say those that criticise others " critical thinking skills," often luck the sensibility and thoughts to snore, spit, and fart....nor would they understand a room full of tobacco smoke and cheap booze...where " critical thinking " can often be found in its most profound, in the most sensitive poems and "pictures" that were ever drawn.

I have been smacked down more than once for poorly thought out posts.
But, I'm still here because I continue to want to sharpen my critical thinking skills.
So, thank you to all of you who keep me (and everybody) on their toes!

VA shooting suspect was raised a JW! He mentions it on his Twitter account
by WingCommander inanyone in the usa following this morning's shooting "on-air" live tv will know what i'm talking about.
bryce williams (not real name, but on-air name) shot and killed 2 people on live television this morning in roanoke, va. he was wearing a go-pro camera, and uploaded his first-person video onto his social media accounts.
i've seen his twitter feed (before it was taken down), and not very far down he mentions being raised a jw.

You can be mentally ill and still be criminally responsible.
James Holmes of the Aurora, Colorado theater shooting was schizophrenic. But, he was found to be criminally responsible, I believe because he showed elaborate planning.
The mental health definition of mentally ill and the criminal justice definition are different.
There's no way Vester Flanagan would have gotten off by reason of insanity.

JW Threatened me with Violence Today :)
by cofty ini popped into the supermarket for a few things after work today and found myself walking up an aisle alongside a couple who used to be in my tuesday group.
i see them reasonably often and always say hello much to their obvious annoyance.
i noticed that ian was sporting a shaggy beard.

Just goes to prove that the way to deal with a bully is to stand up to them.
It's the only language they understand.

I'm 16 and I might be pregnant In a JW household
by NYsweet16 inokay, i don't even know where to start.
i'm 16, i live in a strict jw household and i know if i am pregnant (which is a big possibility) ..i know i'm doomed to a life of misery.
not because of my baby but because of my family and the isolation and judgement from the congregation.

Glad this is easily controlled with B12 shots. I hope she continues to take good care of herself. -

Wait, I honestly don't understand the OP.
Is snoring, spitting and farting a good thing or a bad thing?
And are they evidence or lack of evidence for critical thinking on behalf of the snorer, spitter or farter?!?
...because I'm pretty sure I snore every night...
