Glad it went okay. How wonderful you spent the afternoon with weaponry teaching them the art of warfare. ;) -

In the American south, some of those claims of Native American ancestry are borne of racism.
There is a lot of African American ancestry in the white American genome of the South. Lots of black folks have a white great granddaddy, and lots of white folks have a black great granny who could "pass."
This was absolutely unacceptable to the whites involved and so it became a common thing to instead claim a Native ancestor to explain the darker skin.
So, some folks who think they have a Cherokee grandmother actually have an African American one.
The more you know...

Since you brought up my mom and dad, I won't feel like a threadjacker if I mention them.
My dad has had his hip surgically repaired and will be in a rehab hospital until the end of the month. My mother is home with 24 hour supervision. My brother, sister and I as well as some of her friends from the KH are staying with her in shifts. It's obvious she has some after effects from the concussion. She can't multitask anymore, and when she tries and can't she cries. She's emotional and is still in a good amount of pain with the broken ribs. They say the concussion effects can last several months. And my dad will be using a walker for several months as well. It's still going to be a long road.
Thanks for thinking of me.

A beautiful piece of prose. I completely missed it last year.
Yes, the first few Christmases are about freedom.
After about 20 years, you have to remind yourself that there should be a deeper meaning.
So, I'm thinking about that right now...

Does this make you feel good? Coz it makes me feel bad.....
by ScottyRex ini just watched this clip on youtube....i can't begin to say how it made me feel.
, i'm not sure who i am more annoyed about.
the bloke doing the commentry, the punk shouting at a serious and should be respectful religious event, or some of the youtube comments that follow.. and i find this so disrespectful.

It seems to me that the "if it helps just one person" rhetoric is ill-conceived.
Shouldn't we be looking at net benefit? If it gets one person out but drives ten people further in to where they're less receptive to TTATT, was it really worth it?

Huh. The Witnesses at my mom and dad's hall all went out together last night to see Star Wars on its premier night.
I guess they are in a "social club" congregation.

Oh, it is so easy to keep pushing and give them that one final flippant remark.
However, no one ever woke up by being pushed too far. There's a fine line to try to stay at for maximum benefit.
But, I feel you!

My daughter surprised me last night.
by Driving Force ini started my fade a the beginning of 2015, took counseling form a psychiatrist, and worked hard to get my family away from the cult.
my marriage split and i now live alone with my 15 year old daughter.. she came to me last night and we started talking about jws.
she told me that the subject they are discussing at the moment in philosophy is "cults".

Driving Force, this has made my day.
After some terrible personal things going on, I have been searching desperately for one piece of good news today.
This is it!
The world now has my permission to continue going round...

Elder's letter requesting details of solicitors, barristers and accountants
by jwfacts inthere was a letter sent to elders in australia on 18th november 2015 asking for details of publishers that are solicitors, barristers and accountants.
what would be their motive for these details?
the rest of the letter outlines 8 specific pieces of information to compile and send to bethel's legal department, and reiterates to collect the information only be "as you understand, without consulting the publisher.

Maybe they need CPAs to do some creative accounting to hide profits and assets on hand and need attorneys to shuffle the money to offshore tax havens because they anticipate having to pay abuse victims.
It sounds like they're running scared after the RC which hinted at creating a fund for remunerating abuse victims.

Thanks, Mephis. I have been waiting for the findings. The Commission did not disappoint.
