Today I learned - I'm incapable of having a relationship

hello my dear friends,.

while this post may not be entirely witness related, i figured i'd write out my thoughts here as a form of release and reflection.. recently, a lot has changed in my life.

i'm away from home for the first time in a long while training to get certified in a field i'm not even sure i want to work in anymore.

Possibly, Illuminated. That's something Garrett should definitely think about for awhile to see if it fits.

Also, there might be a case of you just being somewhat on the introverted scale of things. It seems like you go into relationships hot and heavy and then get burnt out by all of the togetherness and you not making time for yourself. You have to have boundaries to protect yourself, but you have to know your limitations, first. After coming out of a cult that told you who you should be, is it any wonder that you're not sure who you are and what you need?

Do you think taking some time to figure these things out might be helpful?

Have you ever thought of telling the girl you're not interested in a relationship at this time, but would enjoy dating casually? Honesty is usually appreciated.

Blurring of genders

as sometimes happens at elders meetings with the co, he has a letter from the branch to read out.

this rarely is made available later so any policies have to be acted on from memory.

this visit a letter was read about blurring of the genders and in particular brothers dressing in a metrosexual style - tight clothing was mentioned again.

I'm writing a novel!

i'm up to about 30k words at the moment and still going strong.. i don't expect it'll ever get off the ground.....at least i'm going to try though.. i'm thinking of 6 months time and looking at the route of self publishing.

yes, i want to be a publisher.. it's very violent in places, has violent sexual scenes and very strong language.. it's everything the watchtower(r) said i should avoid.....i wonder if my authentic self has exploded into freedom?.

if you want more info or wish to read a snippet let me know.. i can't think of a title and have changed it several times, at the moment it's called 'boomshot.

I'm not so sure a bigger awakening is going to happen anymore

when i left in march officially i started reading the forums here.

i had this excitement that more people would be leaving soon because of the crazy broadcasts, the crazy "new light" that the gb was dishing out, and more recently the australian royal commission lighting up geoffrey.

this past saturday i had an elder stop by to chat for the first time since i left.

I don't really hold much hope out for my parents. They are retired and I just can't see them restructuring their entire worldview as well as completely recreating their social networks.

But, their 3 GenX kids are all out, as well as four grandchildren, so it's good to know that all that nonsense stops with our generation.

If you've royally pissed me off, I'm going to have the desire to have sex with you on par with that clump of dirt over there.

You're just not attractive sexually when you're being an ass. Think of it like this equation: being a dick does not equal intimacy which does not cause me to have sexual feelings toward you.

Some women might hold out to punish, but most of the time we're just not turned on by bad behavior. Drop the attitude and we're likely to feel a little more loving towards you.

And, if you can't handle being a nice guy and building trust and vulnerability and an intimate relationship, then you're just not very attractive.

Good luck leaving and finding it elsewhere. If your behavior is the same, you might have some trouble with anybody you're trying to get with.

i always sit in the same spot, just outside starbucks in a vestibule area with a table in the air-conditioned space.

i say "always," but not today.. somebody with two laptops and a table filled with business ledgers was in "my" favorite spot!.

so, i took a tiny wooden table inside the coffee shop on a long padded bench next to 3 other identical tables.. as the clickbait banner ads like to say: "and what happened next was simply unbelievable!".

Learning TTATT is often cumulative. You may have just been experience #1.

Or, you may have been experience #10 and actually pushed one of them over the edge!

You might never know, and your Starbucks might now be on their do not call list, but that doesn't necessarily mean your efforts were in vain.

i'm sick of.... ...having an elder i barely know invite himself over to my house, and bring another asshole elder with him, you know, to "see how i'm doing" f-ck them.

...having same elder with all insincerity approach me at the beeting and before inviting himself over, ask, "how are you doing?

" then when i say everything is great, go ahead and invite them selves over anyway.

I didn't disassociate and I didn't try to fade.

I just walked away, refused to speak to anyone and damn the consequences.

They left me alone. And it's just a crapshoot whether they'll leave you alone or pursue you.

But, the only way to "win" is to just not play their game.

Meaning, I'm drawing a boundary right now and refusing to speak to/cooperate with any elders or JWs about my "spirituality."

Another Kim Davis inspired self-invented "gay issue"

what is it about some of these self proclaimed "christians" who go seeking persecution when it don't exist?.

we've had a case locally in calgary where the initial reports sounded like the person had a legitimate claim: a bus driver didn't want to drive the bus in a gay pride parade and said he'd resign if they made him and that the local transit company was threatening him to force him to do it.. except it was all invented ... by him !.

they already proactively told him that there was no danger that he would be asked to drive that bus in the parade (i.e.

We're asking you to up your game You're a poster who has discussions and contributes.

What we are pushing you to do is improve your logic and rhetoric. If you come to a conclusion based off of faultyl logic, a poorly thought out argument or even untrue facts, then your powers of convincing others are weak.

You can do better. If I didn't think you were capable of it, I wouldn't be interacting with you at all.

I had difficulty making a coherent argument when I first began posting here and I was called out. In a factual way and without a lot of cheerleading. But, I kept listening and learning.

Learning about logical fallacies helped me clean up my rhetoric to make better arguments.

We're not trying to be nasty. We're pointing out where you can improve. If I thought it all would go over your head, I wouldn't bother.

I believe if you researched common Logical Fallacies, you would improve your arguments very quickly. Best of luck!
