Bygone Days of Old Bethel...
by freemindfade insomething occurred to me last night.
people that made their pilgrimage to jw mecca (bethel) would often be excited about some silly things, i say silly because for those of you who were there or lived near enough to be involved in these things regularly they lost their magic.
i am talking about on tours one of the most memorable things people talked about or looked forward to... lunch.

CappyTan: I didn't realize you were a Bethelite? No wonder you are so hard-core anti-JW.....I would be even more-so if I'd had been enslaved there. Truly, the best anti-JW's are Ex-JW's from headquarters. lol -

Another Resolution
by truthlover inhas anyone on the board been at the recent meeting where they are asking for more money to help out the co's, insurance and health and travel??
this is supposed to go into a general fund???
they can use it for anything they want..... oh, and also, if you can give more, it would help as many congregations may not be able to give - based on number of pubs in each cong.

Question: When do the "loving shepherds" make resolutions to have money COME BACK to the Congregations, and in particular, those members in financial and/or physical NEED.......you know, those people Jesus was always trying to help - widows, orphans, homeless, hungry, ill, infirm, elderly.
When the JW's start acting like Christians, let me know. All I see are power hungry, money-grubbing, charlatans.

If this really is, "The Time of the End", then who gives a sh*t about money and profit? If getting God's life-saving word out to the earth's inhabitants is of such critical importance, then shouldn't the WT Org be speeding up the work, increasing missionaries, financing their work and life's necessities like never before, putting out incredible amounts of literature for the poor nations (where internet doesn't barely exist), and also using Satellite TV to have their very own channel to reach people around the world?
If these are the "Last Days", then money should be no object, as "money" won't mean a damn thing anyway "soon" after Armageddon? As we can see, it's all symbolism and ZERO substance when it comes to this fraud of a religion run by money-grubbing, power-hungry charlatans. Do as they say, not as they do! (invest in stock, expand your real estate holdings, and build your retirement palace complete with golden parachute)

It's not the same religion anymore.
by punkofnice inthat was a quote from a dyed in the wool jw recently.
it was a complaint.. we all know that with 'new light(tm)' that the watchtower corporation's version of 'religion' has kept changing for a long time.
since i remember.....and i go back a long way too.

"Kingdom Halls looking like funeral homes."
This happened to the old Columbia Congregation in Lancaster County, PA. Was disbanded (merged into another Mt. Joy congregation), and then sold off to become a funeral home. I believe this is also what happened to the old Red Lion Congregation in York County if memory serves me right.
How fitting. Truly, let the dead bury the dead.

So let me get this straight:
This is a "Missionary School", where the graduates are sent back to their own countries, instead of away to other countries to preach where "the need is greater"?
What is wrong with this picture? Has the word finally been spread to all of the inhabited earth, to lands such as Bhutan, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Dubai, Qutar, all of the Malaysian and Indonesian islands, etc? I highly doubt it!
What a farce!!!!!!

My experience with a Judicial Committee, when in my early 20's
by Dunedain ini joined this wonderful site, only a few weeks ago, although i have been away from the borg, for almost 20 years.
i didnt introduce myself, on a personal level, but i jumped right in, commenting, making threads, and just immersing myself in this community.
what a time, indeed, to be here, its almost as if i was "called" here, because the week i lurked, and joined, was when all this recent stuff came out.

"Masters of your faith" is putting it mildly in JW La-La-Land.
Wonder how Jesus feels about these fine "shepherds" driving people out the way they do? Feel the love!!!

WT opinion about anointed Christians
by Gorbatchov injesus said "look to the fruits" of real christians.. it is unbelievable that the wt says that new anointed christians are merely false.
how can humans decide who is anointed and who's not?.
how can the watchtower society say these unchristian statements?

No accommodation at Bethel in Brazil for Pioneers
by TheTruthBR inbethel in brazil (and i think in other countries as well) when a jw does 10 years of regular pioneer (or other form of full-time service) it can ask to stay three days in bethel.no longer in brazil, according to a letter sent today to all the congregations in brazil:ref .
: accommodation in betheldear brothers:in recent years, there has been a great privilege to stay in bethel those be welcome for over 10 years as regular pioneers and be encouraged by the zeal they have shown.

Ha!! Be warm and well fed, Brothers!!!!!
The reality: 1.) No outsiders coming in and getting "the scoop" from the remaining (few) Bethel families.
Also, no more mooching or free rides of any type on the Org's dime!!!!! You freeloading Pioneers are on your own! How do you all like your "loving" shepherds, as they fleece you from head to toe for every dime you have, then toss you out on your bums in the cold to fend for yourselves?
In "worldly" corporations after 20-30 years of service it's customary to get a nice party and a gold watch. In the WatchTower corporation, you'll get a kick to the ass and a silver screw! That's "Christian Love" - WatchTower style!
