I'm 36. Growing up in the 1980's I was FORCED to go out in service in a hot car in the summer with my parents, instead of having fun like I wanted. It was only Sunday, so I kinda didn't mind. By the 1990's and my teenage years, I was long gone from the Field Ministry. I also never fell for the peer-pressure of joining the TMS. I hated public speaking, and wouldn't be forced into it. I later got good at it in school because of having to do various presentations in various science classes. (the irony!) But even in 1990's, my "Generation" couldn't stand Field Service, and would do anything to get out of it, including LYING on time slips. So here we are, 20 years later, and my "Generation" has our own kids. Think my "Generation" pushes the next "overlapping-Generation" to do the very thing we detested with a passion, causing hardship in the home? Hell no!! That's not happening. As a matter of fact, my son has never stepped foot in a Kingdumb Hall, and wouldn't know one if he saw it, and would be turned off by it's bland architecture if he did see one. So take THAT, WT-Cult! You stole my childhood, but the cycle ended with me. Contributions boxes not being filled? No sh*t Sherlock? I haven't donated a CENT since I was 10 years old and started to wake up to the hypocrisy of the congregational "elite" who's kids could act like total heathens and get away with murder, while others like myself were good and yet it was never enough and we were constantly chastised for every little thing and treated like prisoners. Can you tell I'm bitter? -

Tv's in Kingdom hall
by dothemath inso now that the borg has taken all of the congregations money, there was just a resolution to get all new tv's, etc for the stage for the new meeting format.. i wasn't there, but it was a large sum.
somebody mentioned over 3000$.. all the congregations in the city are likely doing the same thing, and are getting all the equipment from bethel.. i was wondering if this was happening all most everywhere?.
can't see it in third world countries( might not even have internet).

Gotta love this. This is a page right from another more modern American Cult: Scientology. All of their "learning centers" are set up just like this. It goes along great with the newly designed LBC cookie-cutter Kingdom Hall design. Open-air, modern, semi-office looking place of indoctrination, with fancy tech screens to lure in the unsuspecting and lull to sleep the already fully-in even more. A lot of "ohh and ahhhh", that really amounts to "symbolism over substance". It's like a slight of hand, dazzle you with the lights, while lifting your wallet.
Scientology has this down to a Science. (lol!!!!) JW's have now stolen it and adapted it for their own use. This is also true of the cartoons, music videos, and shitty cart music one hears on JW Broadcasting. All "borrowed" from Scientology, much like "Family Study Night" was borrowed from the Mormons.

Literature being discontinued, including Isaiah's Prophecy and Reasoning book
by Richard_I incongregations get an annual letter that tells what can be ordered for literature (it's mainly a list of audio cds/dvds for the deaf), but this time it included publications that will be discontinued, and this included the isaiah's prophecy book and the reasoning book, and i think i saw the draw close to jehovah book.
i meant to take a picture of the letter but forgot.
the branch is only going to give what they have on stock, when that stock depletes that's it, you won't be able to order those publications anymore.. this is in canada so i don't know if this is worldwide..

The Reasoning Book "discontinued".......I never thought I'd see the day. Then again, I never thought I'd be pushing 40 in this "System of Things", either. What a freakin' con. -

This past summer I was in Peru for 2 weeks, Lima, Cuzco, the Amazon jungle, Machu Picchu. No one gives a damn about the JW's down there. All they know is that JW's are an annoyance. Know why? They bring absolutely NOTHING of value to the destitute lives of those poor people. I visited an orphanage / community center sponsored by our tour guide (G-Adventures), and also helped run by the local Catholic Church. I was blown away. Here was "Christendom" and "worldly business" working together to help the downtrodden, hungry, orphans. What does the WTBTS do for those people? JACK SH*T. So tell me, what "witness" did I see? Who showed the "fruitages of the spirit", and was more "Christ-like"? Wasn't the JW's. Wasn't the Mormons or Advents either. They were just down there peddling their cult crap as well. All the poor people knew better.
I've heard many times on here how the 3rd world countries are ripe pickings for cults like the WTBTS. Having now been there, I can call - BS!!!! These poorer people see right thru the JW's recruiting, how they are money-grubbing, rude, and full of themselves, with absolutely nothing to contribute their culture or way of life, not even helping the hungry!
No, JWcult is in panic mode. I loved hearing about how they closed the branch in India, and told the workers to basically print their own material off the web, and fend for themselves!! This is VERY indicative of how they TRULY feel about the 3rd world peoples - "Be warm and well fed!!"

So wait a minute, this guy was a liberal-minded, independent thinker and closeted homosexual, who "tweaked" his own talks, spoke and visited the DF'd, and pissed off the bigwigs at Cult HQ so bad, they sent letters scolding his talks? All the while, never doing anything so "brazen", as to be caught and invited to a JC, and therefore died in "good standing?"
Wow! This guy sounds like the ultimate Apostate! You couldn't write a better undercover spy/Apostate script if you tried. Hahahahaha!!! This guy gets to give the homo-bird to JW HQ, even in death!
Take THAT, you freakin' cult!

I couldn't take it anymore, although still in because of my wife, I did this...
by LevelThePlayingField ini dressed up in a hoodie, double layer so that the cameras at the kingdom hall couldn't recognize me.
i looked in the mirror up and down so i knew that the cameras, at least at the angle that i knew couldn't see my face.
i took this disassociation letter, stuck it in the envelope, labeled it, "(congregation's name...boe" by hand and sealed it.

Should have put that you were baptized in the Menlo Park Congregation, so IF the Elders googled that name, they'd get an eyefull! lol -

I've been saying this for a while now, and I see some other posters are now as well. Who really gives a crap about this useless nonsense? About dates from 100 years ago, (or thousands, such as 587, 539, etc). How does that affect modern man today? It doesn't. It's completely irrelevant. It's mental mind-games and busywork being turned out by manipulative CULT. This is where mainstream Christianity overwhelms the WT Borg. Christendom doesn't keep harping on this old crap, they focus on things from the Bible, and Jesus' words that can actually help you in your day-to-day life, every day. Like doing onto others, showing forgiveness, showing love, not being judgmental, etc. These day-to-day concepts from Jesus are completely lost on the JW Pharisees. Charity? What's that? No one in JW-Land has a CLUE. I was raised in this mess, and I know I sure didn't. WT Borg is beating a dead horse, and the younger "generation", doesn't give one flying fart, they are leaving in droves, and taking their wallets with them!!!
