  What should I visit while in New York

  Sorry Freemindfade, NYC doesn't really do anything for me. I've been all over the world, NYC is a toilet bowl, and it's a whole lot cleaner than it was in say 1986. (Times Square sex shops, anyone?) Don't worry, I hate Baltimore and Philly even more. They are cesspools. Now Pittsburgh? There's a true gem. It de-greased itself and it's image of being a dirty steel town, and is now a clean, thriving, artistic, cultural, modern, tech-savy city. I'd much rather live there.

  The Met, The Guggenheim, 9/11 Memorial / Freedom Tower, Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island. The Central Park Zoo is a nice walk-thru.
  

  Hungry? Then you'd better eat at Carmine's in Times Square, which is an incredible Italian eatery with family style (large plates to pass around your table) serving.

  Honestly, I've been to NYC plenty of times as I only live 3 hours away. NYC is NOT my favourite US city. I'd much rather visit the much more interesting Chicago, Washington DC, etc.

  If JW's are following in the footsteps of Christ Jesus, and supposedly tending the flock, then how exactly does the "Faithful & Discreet", you know, God's SOLE shepherd on earth today, tend to the flock?

  Question:

  Where are the: Hospitals, orphanages, soup kitchens, retirement homes, schools, shelters, and other charitable works that would be the mark of love of Jesus disciples?
  

  Answer:

  No where to be found in JW-Land. Some "religion", huh? Followers of Jesus, my ass!!

  so after the 2 special pioneers visited i thought i had given them an earful about the arc and the pedophile problem in their organization surely they would have put me on the do not call list.. oh, no not my luck i get an elder and his lovely little mute wife with infant child in the stroller this morning at 9 am.

  don't these people have a job to go to?

  it was a car with 3 men & a woman.. we go through the standard do you read the bible yada yada, i tell them i know the routine very familiar with your game.

  I really do find it amazing that more JW's don't know about the ARC down in Australia, and that their OWN GB MEMBER testified, under OATH, and LIED his ass off!! If I were still a JW, and someone told me what you told that guy at the door, I'd have to go home and look online, just to prove to myself that it wasn't real. Can you imagine how JW's feel that go home do just that, only to find out with their own eyes what for groveling, lying, sniveling asshats they have for leaders once they see him (and all those other Elders) testimony, right on YouTube?

  my eyes for ttatt opened in 1995 with the generation change and the wt magazine stated "some witness thought that the generation started in 1914".

  since 1997, with internet at low speed, i followed h2o hourglass, www.xjw.com and later on www.jehovahs-witness.net.. did a bachelor and post bachelor since then.. now, nearly completed with fading, i feel it's time to go on with my life and do some other things, spending more time with my wife abd children instead of thinking about jw topics in my head.

  goal is being a better person and less grumpy at 45.... everything what could be said is already said.

  What mutherfuggary is THIS? As usual, one big guilt trip! Have a nice job and home with modern contemporary furniture? Well then, you are too worldly and materialistic! Don't you know that the Governing Body needs all of your "precious things", so that they can adorn their new WT HQ in upstate New York next to a lake, with granite and marble? You don't need to live "comfortably", so up and sell all of your belongings and live in some shitty apartment where the need is greater in Jerkwater, USA or possibly consider moving to some 3rd world shit-hole where the natives will only try to rob you and couldn't care less about your American cult? Nice one JW.dork, but I'm not falling for it. I'd also like to say that this level of fear-inducing paranoia, is about 2-steps away from the practice drills Jim Jones used to run on his followers in the People's Temple. This is some scary, cult bullshit right here. WOW! Pass the kool-aid, Sharon, then we'll all read some scriptures that don't apply to anyone in the 21st century.
