it seems that most people who have been witnesses that i've known in the last 20 years are still jws.
they may not be as zealous as before but they still remain as jehovah's witnesses.

What CrazyGuy said. No new ones. No young ones, and born-in's are leaving in droves. Why do you think WT HQ all of a sudden has cartoons, comics, etc? Never would have happened 20, 30 years ago. And yeah, the Reddit forum is growing like crazy. Stories from the recently left every day. It's amazing to see the exodus, because you just know for every person posting their stories, there are 10x more lurking who don't post, or don't even know about these forums or subs.
i've been as honest as i can on this forum throughout my time bouncing in and out..and been jumped on for saying anything positive about the "truth" or my experiences at the hall, but it's been a few years now since i have been attending meetings.
i go to the memorial for family reasons and went to the assembly today for the same reason...but one observation i have to make is most of us have all dealt with years of hearing how gawd awful "the world" is and how the only happiness is going to meetings and out in service.
now that is total bs.

we leave friday for his disney cruise wish.
he's also a big star wars fan, and they have a star wars day on one of the seafaring days.
to say we are all looking forward to this is an understatement.
We went on a Disney Cruise (Magic) about 6 years ago. We'd been on several cruises before. Considering the cost, we were expecting top-notch service. Honestly, it was "meh". The food in particular, was truly sub-par. Entertainment was good, rooms were very nice. Characters were around. Disney's private island "Castaway Island", is truly awesome. They have clear tubes and you go out in the ocean, lay on the beach, etc. Food there at the grille was good and fresh. The water was fantastic. Enjoy your cruise and family time.

Your employer is not responsible, not do they care, about your "religious meeting schedule." That has NOTHING to do with work. Do you want to eat? Better get to work, cause the Elduh's sure as hell aren't going to help you out!! This guy is just pissed that his disability is no longer willing to pay out for him to be a lay-about and/or Pioneer on the Government's dime!!!!! He's royally pissed that the company offered him an alternative job, and is using "meeting times" as an excuse not to accept the offered alternate positions. Guess what? That's HIS freakin' problem!! Talk about a sense of self-entitlement! But then again, this is the JW mindset isn't it? That the "world" somehow revolves around THEM, thinks THEY are so wonderful, God's Chosen People, etc. Freakin' pathetic. This guy is a disgrace, a parasite, and a lazy BUM. I hope the Judge sees this as what it is, and tosses the case right out.
