Circumcision....Perfect Adam....Uncircumcised....1st century Christians...circumcision ont required
by blondie ini know this has been discussed many times, but i was watching a news story about female genital mutilation (not female circumcision) and segued mentally into why the hassle about male babies having to be circumcised, christians especially.
even the wts flipflops on this...... if adam, the first perfect man, not under the jewish law code, was given a foreskin by god as an aspect of his physical perfection, why then do so many "christian" people have their boy babies circumcised?.
if a health issue....why did god create the perfect man, adam, with a foreskin?.

Re-read Animal Farm.
by The Rebel ini was one of many witness children, who studied this book in english literature class.. having re-read it as an adult it addressed so many issues i have with the organisation.
including maniputive control, the re-writing of history etc etc.
so many of the characters in the book, resembled characters i have known in the organisation.. boxer- loyalty without questioning.. squeler- a character who doesn't care about truth, and uses rhetoric of language to twist truth.. clover-who silently questions decisions, but stays loyal.. if your young, or old i would suggest reading this small book, by george orwell.

Amazingly, I read this in 9th grade English/Lit class as a mentally-born-in-JW, and the correlation did not strike me at all. It's amazing what good indoctrination and brainwashing can do.

Cirencester Congregation UK: My story
by erbie indear all,.
i have been a member here for some years although mostly in the background.
many of you have bravely shared your own experiences and i am very grateful for that but i have never been open about my own experience.. nevertheless, i would be very grateful to those of you who would now take the time to read about my own personal journey from the jw religion and the circumstances that caused me to abandon that way of life and how i landed up where i am.

That's creepy as shit! The moral of the story though, was that it was a rainy day, her husband had died from pneumonia he caught while riding a bike, and Terry (as a bike rider) reminded the old lady of her late husband. So Terry got a ride he'll never forget.

1970's Fred Franz prophecy books and current events
by Gorbatchov ini am convinced that world history will go on and on, and don't believe in an end time scenario.. but... and... .
when events occure like trumps tomahawk strike on syria, putting bombing a place and many, many coalitions are made with friends and enemies, my thought are going back to a 40 years ago, when i was a litle boy raising up in a cold war naval harbour town in northwest europe.
my jw grandfather learned me to investigate history.

Oh man, that type / anti-type Fred Franz bullsh*t really takes me back. I remember in the 1980's everyone was looking forward to the King of the North being unmasked, the turn on world religions by the UN, and then the cry of "Peace and Security!" In the early 80's in particular, everyone was whipped up into a state of fright and paranoia. Movies like, "The Day After", etc didn't help. WWIII was just around the Cold War corner! Then Chernobyl happened. Then the Berlin Wall fell. Then it was all over. Fred Franz died in 1992. The 1995 "generation change" took any remaining fire and wind out of the WT prophetic bullsh*t sails. In hindsight, it was all over. The last 20 years, have been nothing but smoke and mirrors for the WT. Polishing the prophetic turd. Rebranding the turd, and selling it to a new, unknowing "generation." Now, we see even more rebranding, modernizing, downsizing, glamourising, advertising, and mindless crap. The WT is but a shell of it's former self. When people say "this isn't the religion I was born into, I don't even recognize it," they aren't kidding. I'm 37. I sure as hell don't recognize it, and neither would my deceased parents.

The kid that was hurt and the one that was killed, was standing behind the teacher. The guy didn't mean to hit them, but they were there. I don't understand why he didn't kill her at her house or something. Why go into the school and inadvertently risk injuring and/or killing a child? Not sure what caliber this guy was using, but it must have been big to go thru her and then keep going. My guess would be .40 S&W, .357 magnum, or possibly 10mm. I'm sure he was some nut with a mental health record that shouldn't have been allowed to obtain a firearm anyway. That's usually how it works. SMH.

It's about progress, not perfection...
by scratchme1010 ini guess at this point in time and space i'm ok if there's an indication of things going in the right direction.. my jw father, who joined the jws in 1973 when i was 8, has always had all the characteristics of the stereotypical brainwashed born again weirdo.
as a jw he always felt the need to show that he was more devoted than the rest of the crop.
to him, life became very easy from that point on: "the bible", interpreted by the millions of wt publications, along with the information in the meetings and getting involved in all jw activities, were the answer to everything and anything in his life".

Sounds like a case of your father, "Reaping what he's sown." A lot of good all of that bible thumpin' did him, huh? Victim of a cult is right, though. JW's don't possess any of the fruitages of the spirit. If they did, they'd know what REAL charity, caring, love, and sympathy are. Instead, they are the complete opposite.

I will say this: I don't understand why Assad would do such a thing to civilians. Gas the rebel ISIS or terrorists trying to overthrow cities, but to gas your own people? Doesn't sound right. Assad was actually WINNING the war, so why gas his own people? Sounds a bit like the Bay of Tonkin incident, which was an incident started by a US warship, that ultimately led to the Vietnam War. A total "false flag" incident. Basically, an excuse created or started by US backed "someones" in order to justify going to war in order to annihilate a regime you don't want in power. However, it should be noted this type of "crazy" runs in Assad's family; his own father did something similar in 1982, so the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Either way, Obama was a useless. I remember his speech about the "line in the sand", and then Syria crossed it, and Obama did NOTHING. So basically, Obama (and Kerry) were toothless and dickless, and everyone knew it. Not so much with Trump. Did you know border crossings at the US/Mexico border are DOWN 40% since he's been in office? The wall hasn't even been started yet! I'm all for staying out of Syria AND the entire Middle East. Let them fight their own battles. I think Trump feels the same. However, gassing your own civilians with Sarin Nerve Agent deserves at least SOME type of response.

Trump truly is "damned if he does, damned if he doesn't." The Libtards are never satisfied, unless some puppet pacifist like Obama or a REAL womanizer like Bill Clinton is in office. So we finally have a President with a pair between his legs, and some of you are actually bitching and moaning that he gave a measured response to the gassing of civilians by a dictator like Assad? There is no satisfying the Left. The last time I saw this kind of immediate retaliation from a US President was when Reagan was still in office. Nobody f*cked with Reagan. Maybe the same will said about Trump? At least the response to the gas attack was measured and appropriate. Trump had the Navy take out the air base the attach was launched from. I'd say that's pretty "restrained." We could have turned Damascus into a glow-in-the-dark sandbox covered in glass, then take all of their oil. How would that be? Even Putin had to be been aghast at gassing civilians. Putin would gas rebel Chechnyans no doubt, but not likely civilians.
