Your family is a bunch of toxic assholes. I'm betting they think your ex-wife is just freakin' dandy, right? They all deserve each other. Save yourself, and your kids! They need to be taught that mommy and family are not "normal."

Im "Going To Die In Armageddon"
by pale.emperor in3 missed calls from my jw brother last night.
i didnt answer because he's actively shunning me and when he does ring it always to preach to me about how we're so close to the end and how i should "humble myself before the mighty hand of god" .
he then texts me saying "we need to talk".

Oooh, caught a JW colleague telling porkies at work this week.
by nicolaou inthere's a jw 'sister' at work, lovely girl in her mid twenties.
anyway, on monday the union (cwu) called a one day strike in support of colleagues and all union members supported the action as far as i'm aware, except the sister.. she claimed it was 'against her religion' to strike.
bare in mind, she's a fee paying member of the union.. now, a few of my workmates know of my past and asked me if this was really true, that jehovah's witnesses aren't allowed to strike.. we'll, i like this girl and i didn't want to make her look silly but what was i supposed to say after i stopped laughing?

Here in America, Unions are a good bit different. Businesses where Unions are dug in, in order to work at the company you MUST be in the Union. It's not an "option." The Union won't even let you in the door unless you have connections, are willing to pay up, etc. It's basically blackmail. Unions had their place after the Industrial Revolution, but now here in America, they are like strong-arm mafia. The real reason US Companies are up and moving away to Canada, Mexico, South America, or even Union-optional southern states? Unions and their constant demands for outrageous wages for menial labour, high pension costs (pyramid scheme!) and constant bullshit. I know, I live in York, PA....once home to a mighty Caterpillar plant, and also one of the Harley-Davidson assembly plants. Caterpillar up and LEFT around 1989 after suffering years of strikes and BS from Unions. Left for Tennessee. Harley Davidson has shrunk the York plant to a shell of it's former self, and sub-contracts out tons of work to non-Union shops in the area. Unions today only give a crap about lining their coffers, and to HELL with the Members. When Caterpillar left, it didn't hurt the Union reps and management, not one bit!
The 25-yr old Union member in this story probably values her job over Union BS. She needs to eat, and doesn't buy the Union's propaganda and strong-arm tactics. (the irony!) I'm sure she'll be getting a nice friendly visit from her Union rep anytime now about her lack of support.

HA the good life --Cart witnessing
by wannaexit inon my way home from work today, i saw the modern day pioneers having a grand old time, relaxing in the sun.
two sprawled on one bench and the other two talking up a storm, with their iced cappuccino, just enjoying the day.
the two carts were a number of feet away.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again; If their ministry was so all-important, life-saving, and URGENT, then they'd use every cent they have in the coffers to use every single type of social media to get out the message; billboards, newspapers, magazines, Facebook, Twitter, TV ads, and even have their own satellite channel piping out the "life-saving" Conventions! Hell, if they had a cable/satellite channel, they could pump out every morning worship that WT HQ has all over the globe! I mean, it's supposed to be "spiritual food at the proper time", right? I've asked Pioneers at my door this question. They are stunned, deer-in-the-headlights look. They've never even thought of this. Supposedly the most life-saving, urgent message in all of human history is to be spread over the entire earth, and yet the JW's use the least-effective and antiquated means in which to do so? It's nothing more than an exercise in futility.

accosted to day down the high steet
by jookbeard inwas merrily walking down my local high street this morning when a lady approached me and than told me not to worry i'm not a jw, i said dont worry i used to be one and she was astounded and we went into a full blown doctrinal biblical discussion , she was representing her local baptist church, i really shot her away with my knowledge and she agreed she's never met someone like me before , she said that i would still need to repent and and accept jc as my personal saviour etc blah blah and that the devil was pleased that i'd accepted a path of atheism , i said you think the devil is directing people to atheism, i said you dont think the devil would be wanting people to be joining devil worshipping groups, occult groups, wiccan/pagan and witch covern groups?
i asked her to direct me to see a physical image of the devil and demons and to direct to to where they reside etc, i asked don't you think demons can manifest themselves in the form of humans?
she agreed, i then said where are they?

As I recall, the demons were forbidden from materializing after The Great Flood. They could no longer take "human form", as they had come down and bred with women that started the Nephilim.

One of the Dukes has stepped down......
by AFRIKANMAN in......from public life !
.
the duke of edinburgh, who is 95, will no longer carry out public engagements from the autumn of this year, buckingham palace has announced.. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/05/04/buckingham-palace-summons-entire-royal-household-emergency-meeting/?wt.mc_id=tmgoff_fb_tmg.

He always has been, and always will be, a gigantic PRICK. The above quotes from AFRIKANMAN are just but a small sample of how this backwards, inbred, holier-than-thou douche thinks and feels. He's still stuck in the year he was born, and it shows. If they would all croak at one time leaving William & Harry to rule, the Monarchy would be much better off. Modern, progressive, young.

Is it just me or is this weeks CLAM more "cultish" than usual?
by NikL inmaybe it was my mood, but last night the meeting seemed really over the top cultish.. mainly the latter portion that just focused on presentation videos which always seem creepy to me anyway.. then the local needs was pre-empted by a video all about ldc which seemed completely pointless.
(on a side note my wife knew a couple of different people in it).
the congregation "bible" study which dealt with the ever changing cover of the watchtower magazine.

Of course the final song was uplifting; it signaled the end of the boring-assed meeting!

Circumcision....Perfect Adam....Uncircumcised....1st century Christians...circumcision ont required
by blondie ini know this has been discussed many times, but i was watching a news story about female genital mutilation (not female circumcision) and segued mentally into why the hassle about male babies having to be circumcised, christians especially.
even the wts flipflops on this...... if adam, the first perfect man, not under the jewish law code, was given a foreskin by god as an aspect of his physical perfection, why then do so many "christian" people have their boy babies circumcised?.
if a health issue....why did god create the perfect man, adam, with a foreskin?.

Re-read Animal Farm.
by The Rebel ini was one of many witness children, who studied this book in english literature class.. having re-read it as an adult it addressed so many issues i have with the organisation.
including maniputive control, the re-writing of history etc etc.
so many of the characters in the book, resembled characters i have known in the organisation.. boxer- loyalty without questioning.. squeler- a character who doesn't care about truth, and uses rhetoric of language to twist truth.. clover-who silently questions decisions, but stays loyal.. if your young, or old i would suggest reading this small book, by george orwell.

Amazingly, I read this in 9th grade English/Lit class as a mentally-born-in-JW, and the correlation did not strike me at all. It's amazing what good indoctrination and brainwashing can do.

Cirencester Congregation UK: My story
by erbie indear all,.
i have been a member here for some years although mostly in the background.
many of you have bravely shared your own experiences and i am very grateful for that but i have never been open about my own experience.. nevertheless, i would be very grateful to those of you who would now take the time to read about my own personal journey from the jw religion and the circumstances that caused me to abandon that way of life and how i landed up where i am.
