just been to the police station with my friends where we were asked individually to identify aknife.

it looks identical to the one we saw.

All knives need to be confiscated, even a Chef's block. Who besides a Chef needs a filet or butcher knife? Only a brut needs such an item. They are deadly! Anything beyond say a box cutter should be illegal!

Frankly, nearly everything the original poster wrote, (minus the cart witnessing) I myself witnessed back in the late 90's already. How do I know? Because I basically saw and lived just that!!! My parents were mostly off the JW radar by the mid-90's. I was 16, had a good job, and attended maybe 6 meetings a year by then. I wasn't baptized. No one gave a shit. I never hung out with other JW kids at school, so I could say and do whatever I wanted at that point in time. My parents were up in age, in failing health, and never dissuaded my getting an education because they knew I had to make a living. I kept my mouth shut about any girl I dated (always a non-JW), where I went, what I did, what I said. What can they do when you're not baptized, and only attend 6 meetings a year, and never hand in field service?

harges against a man accused of molesting his 4-year-old cousin in a york county jehovah’s witness kingdom hall in 2005 have been dismissed partly because the alleged offenses occurred when he was a juvenile.. john logan haugh, now 26, who now lives in delaware, was charged in may of this year with two counts of indecent assault of a person under the age of 13 in a case that shed light on the how the jehovah’s witnesses handle child sexual assault cases.

when john haugh appeared in court tuesday morning for a pre-trial conference, his attorney and the prosecutor had a discussion with judge maria musti cook out of earshot of the gallery in courtroom 7006. when court resumed, the prosecutor moved to dismiss the charges.

at a very recent circuit assembly (usa), the accounts overseer gave the typical accounts report for the ca in the early afternoon.

there were 2100 people at the assembly.

I remember those "slips" being passed out during the Tuesday night Service Meetings, even back in the 80's. However, they were rare, usually when a new KH or remodel was required, etc. Also, they were anonymous, usually on a blank sheet of paper. It certainly wasn't the formal, monthly perpetual guilt-trip that is shown above and going on now. If it had been, my parents would have up and left on the spot!!!

The picture above is jaw-dropping to me. This cult has jumped the shark this past decade. They aren't even attempting to hide their greed and manipulation anymore. Wow.

i've been debating whether or not to post this story simply because the org knows who i am (post history from pre-'05 will tell you all you need to know), and i'm not sure if they would give my parents shit if they knew what transpired earlier this summer.

but you know what, i don't care what they do, because my mom is dying of stage iv cancer and i feel this needs to be heard by anyone struggling with the loss of contact from their relatives.. for those who are not familiar with my background, i became a small thorn in the side of the wts while i was still in.

i'm not big on being deceived, and for me, the org crossed my personal 'red line' when it came to blood and the child abuse issue.

I'm actually shocked you went back to visit your Egg Donour. That's what I'd call a person who'd abandon their only son because he dared to shine light on an Organization covering up child sexual abuse. Call me a crazy, but a REAL mother would have been PROUD to have a son like you who has moral and principals that far exceed some corrupt "Organization."

I lost both of my JW parents young. I feel for you.

'Serving where the need is greater' - who does it benefit?

we have recently been in asia on vacation, travelling to a number of countries in this part of the world.

whilst in thailand, my wife, totally pimo, wanted to go to the english speaking convention in bangkok.

although i haven't been active for a very long time, i went along with her.. the first thing that slightly surprised me was the attendance, well over 900. i hadn't expected that many but they were from all over the country, which is a pretty big place.

Thailand is funny. If you have non-Thai kids in school, they are bullied mercilessly for not being Thai. So, many parents pull them from school to homeschool. Who can blame them? Problem is, if they are JW's, then they are ignorant themselves so who are they to school anyone? DERP!!!

I saw (1) Kingdumb Hell when I was in Thailand, and at a very unique place as well. It was along the infamous floating markets. Right up on stilts with everything else. It's the only KH I saw while in Asia. (Hong Kong, China, Thailand)

So the Bethel rejects moved to Thailand? 40-yr old virgin guy? Yep! He went where he knew his penis would get some attention, which is Thailand!!
