I support as many local Central Markets with local produce stands and butchers as I can. I buy ZERO meats from the grocery stores. We cook 90% of our own meals from fresh ingredients. We know how to cook and eat healthy. I also don't drink soda except for maybe (1) bottle of Mexican (real sugar cane) Coke every 4 months. Beer occasionally (usually summer) by the SoloStove, wine on occasion.

When eating out, it's local good restaurants. We enjoy Italian (a place owned by actual Sicilians), Peruvian (again, owned by actual Peruvian), Thai (owned by Thai), and several Greek-owned diners for breakfast.

Seriously, "Fast Food" like Burger King, Hardees, or Jersey Mike's would be a once a year thing for us.

Hey Blondie, if you read this, I have a question for you: In a recent response you posted about how you wrote to Ray Franz, then met him while traveling near his home, and then eventually that became an annual thing. You then mentioned he had some sort of accident before passing. So my question(s) are:

1. Was his "study" the same one shown in the 1986 documentary "Witnesses of Jehovah" wherein they had interviewed him a bit? I'd imagine you're familiar with that one hosted by the Chritien's, but if not it's free to view on Youtube.

2. Your account is the first I've heard of him having some sort of "accident." Was it work related, or simply a fall and hip break, as is experienced by many other elderly people? I'd be very saddened to hear if he had to work till almost the day he died. I thought he had passed in the hospital of basically "natural causes."

Back to the Meetings------Back to Covid.

a lot of pimos are reporting that returning to the meetings is backfiring in that covid is spreading among the members returning.. post;.

so last saturday was my first meeting back in person and well it completely backfired.

last night i got a text from my group overseer saying that someone in the hall tested positive for covid and that we need to get tested(great 🎉).. honestly i kinda expected this.

Oh please! There's no "COVID Explosion." Hell, with all that's going on in Ukraine the news doesn't even mention COVID anymore.

I can't remember the last time I heard of anyone I know or work with even contracting COVID. The hospitals around here aren't overflowing. Life is "back to normal" here. (Northeast USA).

I rarely see someone with a mask, and usually it's some dumb nutter alone in the car driving. lol

Gene Smalley is still alive? That guy's gotta be in his 90's! He was responsible for a lot of the blood doctrine flip-flops and associated BS I'm told. Possibly the organ donour stuff too. A lot of "bloodguilt" is on his head, as far as I'm concerned.

FYI for everyone:

The "Commentary of James" was credited to Ed Dunlap, NOT Ray Franz. Ray Franz had a huge part in the "Aide to Bible Understanding" book, hence they had to eventually release the "Proclaimers" book and shelf the old Aide book as "old light."

Ed Dunlap was on the teaching committee I believe and taught at Gilead. He was close friends with Ray Franz, and left around the same time or was kicked out during the "Great Purge" of 1980.

Things I noted:

"recreation/wellness/fitness facilities" ---- Oh??? You mean the very ammenities you deny your pauper rank-n-file members who you get all the money from? How many WatchTower articles and talks over the years have we heard about "not building up one's body" and that joining gyms and fitness clubs are a "Waste of time, because they distract and detract from the preaching work"????? Regular JW's are made to feel guilty for having 30 mins a day for themselves, right from the literature, but the High and Mighty up at WT HQ get only the best!!!! I noticed this YEARS ago when I saw the plans for the new WT HQ in Warwick. Couldn't believe my eyes!!!

"Rules for thee, but not for me!"....come to mind. Fuggin' hypocrites.

Also, I'd like to point out the irony......the fuggin IRONY, that WT is replacing what once was plans for an adult retirement community, with plans for a multi-story A/V production studio, and there is absolutely NOTHING in their plans for a WT retirement community? Oh wait.....I forgot.....they've already got that for their Elite at Fishkill!! (the luxury homes/condos/townhouses they bought and just kept for the cream-of-crop-retires)

Also of note is that access will be gained from an existing entrance to a Catholic Adult Care Home. Can't use the YMCA for the pool (oh wait, they've got their own, duh!) but they can use the Catholic's existing road for access to their own facilities? When WT HQ can benefit from "Babylon the Great", there's no problem at all.....Nosiree!!!!

Again, what a bunch of fuggin' Hypocrites these false prophets and crooks are!
